Year bump, so since then... I've played Resident Evil 7 and Rez Infinite with my friends PSVR.
Rez was really cool and a nice entry point. RE7 made me sick because of the control settings my friend had it set too. By pushing the d-pad or shoulder buttons, the camera would quickly turn. This made me seriously messed up for awhile, I had to lay down for like 30 minutes when I started sweating and my friends freaked out haha. Yeah it sucks for anyone who has glasses... |

Honestly, I would not mind a well done VR... hell, think it would be pretty cool. But for now, all VR headsets just make me kinda nauseous and seem to hate anyone who has to wear glasses in terms of comfort (though I admit the Samsung Gear VR has improved a lot over the last two versions). |

I think PS VR could be a turning point. Good price and they have the install base. I've heard Giant Bomb say there's some promising and cool games they've seen too.
But yeah, still feels a bit early and like this will just be a weird fad this gen overall. |

Honestly I never really hopped on the VR train. I feel like wearing an uncomfortable helmet while sitting on a couch kind of takes away from anything the 3D effect does. I'll still take my projector screen of that any day. |

All I want VR for is to make Elite: Dangerous more immersive. That and a good flight stick setup. |

It already feels like it's become a bit hush hush by this point. Perhaps Playstation VR will put it back in the spotlight for a bit, but yeah. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything or that interested. Giant Bomb has done a lot of great coverage on it. So many physical things about it don't even seem appealing. You need a big room, lots of space, tons of USB ports, then there's potential discomfort and sweating from headsets (never thought of that, but now I never want to wear one after someone else), and just yeah...
I'll let one of my friends get this stuff and check it out there. lol |

Yeah.
I personally think VR is just a fad that is going to die rather soon and that it's kinda pointless. Games are meant for relaxing and having fun, not causing other issues like extreme back pain or anything like that. I've got a bad back and don't need to make it any worse than it is, what with this hot weather that could strangle me any second tbh. |

Haha.
I'm sure it's in the cards for the future someday. But wow, they really nail it with how these are just a bunch of old Wii games we've already played. I'm sure the hardware is pretty cool, but all the games just look like crap and I'm pretty flabbergasted at some of the prices for them. I'd love for it to be cool, but this certainly doesn't look like a good headstart or anything... |

And this is why I sold my Gear VR to my friend when I got it with my GS7 |
