If you think about the philosophical aspect of this backward message, it's pretty cool. Stairway to Heavan backwards leads to Satan. It's pretty cool when you think about. The song itself is about the morality of your actions and if what you do does form your starway to heaven. That's my opinion. |

This was only said by officials about the gibberish part, although I and many others believe this says "He will give those with him 666". and also, you need the FULL mp3 and reverse that, or rig up a record player and listen to it backwards... also, I managed to hear the backwards first time of listening without any writing to tell me what it says. No need to get touchy with it I just thought it would be fun to bring up |

A. Ryjet, let's look at your starting post:
"Oh here's to my sweet Satan, the one whos little path, would make me sad whos power is Satan. *Gibberish* (Some claim this part says "He will give those with him 666") There was a little toolshed where he made us suffer sad Satan" How does that constitute a clear message? You wrote yourself that the middle line is gibberish. I've heard the recording- it is all gibberish which people have read way too much into. Not to mention that I don't think 30 seconds is all of Stairway to Heaven. B. http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/daftpunk.php There's your link to the great parody of all this stupid backward message crap. |

link please?
Also, if the reverse message is a load of rubbish, explain how an entire song has a half clear backwards message |

The "backwards message" is complete crap. Also on albinoblacksheep.com, there's a great spoof of the stupid "backward message" genre. |

To here it VERY clearly backwards, you have to rig up a record player to play backwards, and play the record of it. Also it's funny, supposedly on the blog someone from the band postedand and said they had no intention of this backwards message |

First of all, Sparda, the lyrics are true, it is just the internet and the website does not have top-notch quality. I have heard it on the actual Record, played backwards, and they are true.
Elara, you are most definitely right, the only thing that is hard about Stairway to Heaven is the memorization of the entire song, because it's a pretty damn long song. I really dislike it when people think they are cool because they can play beginner songs, granted I am not good at the guitar, yet, but I will get better eventually. |

I listened to the whole backwards audio clip thingies and it really just made me laugh. People are just taking these lyrics way too far, in my opinion. The only reason it sounds like 'satanic' message is well...it's just coincidence. When you think about it, the messages can mean anything. And besides, the words aren't that clear so you can't really be sure that it says what you think it says anyways. |

Ha, I've always laughed about that. Yeah, Led Zepplin kicks ass, especially Stairway to Heaven. I just find it funny that all the people at my school taking guitar think that they are the shit when they learn how to play it... it's not that hard of a song if so many people can do it that easy. |

Led Zepplin is good. I'm not a huge fan, but I like them. A lot of people have only heard the fourth album and say they are they're favorite band. I did that at one point too, until I realized that the only song I was listening to was Stairway to Heaven. Now I've got all four of they're compiled albums and I like Misty Mountain Hop the most, as of now. Wait. Now my favorite is Ramble On.... anyways, I've got House of the Holy on vinal and it still plays, so its pretty sweet.
Stairway to Heaven is an awesome song, but over played and over glorified, even though in a lot of people's minds it doesn't get much better than that. There is a recording of Stairway to Heaven played backwards on some website, I believe www.albinoblacksheep.com under the audio section. Maybe its a different site, but its worth a try. |

I'm sorry if this is bumping, but I thought I should bring this up...
Stairway to Heaven is a COMPLETE reverse message. the main bit and easiest part to hear is the verse where it says: "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow..." up to the end of the verse. The entire verse instead says: "Oh here's to my sweet Satan, the one whos little path, would make me sad whos power is Satan. *Gibberish* (Some claim this part says "He will give those with him 666") There was a little toolshed where he made us suffer sad Satan" |

Well im not the biggest led zep fan, mostly because of thier vocalist ugh, i cant stand him
Some of the songs ive heard, it starts off with some rocking guitar (i like) then all of sudden this gay ass high sounding voice comes in and ruins your conectration and makes you say "WTF!?" I Do have their Re masters CD, I, II, III, IV, and Physcial grafitti Guess i should try to like them |

Zeppelin's great... I picked up the "Remasters" 3 CD thingy. It kicks arse. I couldn't really get into them. Once I heard that Tool did a remix of No Quarter I decided to listen to them. Been listenin' ever since. Stairway to Heaven is a sell out though. :/ My fav...
1 No Quarter 2 Babe I'm Gonna Leave You 3 Dazed and Confused 4 Kashmir 5 Communication Breakdown 6 Trampled Underfoot... Don't like Zeppelin? Go out and buy "Remasters"!!! |

Indeed Cairoi. But think. Were it not for me, it would have taken you much longer to come across Zeppelin. Anyway, I will take a line from Taht 70's show.
Hyde: "If God didn't want me always wearing this shirt(Has a Zeppelin shirt on) He wouldn't have made them rock so hard." |

I know this could be considred bumping, but I didn't want to make a different thread.
CASE IN POINT: JIMMY PAGE ROBERT PLANT JOHN PAUL JONES JOHN BONHAM ARE MY HEROES AND OVERLORDS. Sparda is correct, the drummer, John Bonham died. That is why they disbanded. Right now, only Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are still alive, but are touring a little. Jimmy Page-Revolutionary Guitarist. Robert Plant-High-Tenor Vocalist. John Paul Jones- Bassist. John Bonham- Drummer. In my opinion, the 10 best Zeppelin songs(not in order) are as follows: Kashmir Stairway to Heaven Houses of The Holy Rain (i tink) Communication Breakdown Rock and Roll Trampled Underfoot The Song Remians the Same Immigrant Song Battle of Evermore |

I like new bands as well as old ones. Led Zeppelin is awsome though, Stairway to Heaven is there best song in my opinion. My friend can play it on the guitar, I ask her to play everytime shes playing her guitar. Awsome band period. |

Im not a nbg led fan. I hate there singers voice with passion just how high and weird it sounds ughhh . Almost as bad as Don scott in AC/DC But his is cooler.
Idk ive heard a few songs by them on the radio they start out with this rocking intro, then their vocals come in and ruin the feel of the song . So yeah....lol |
