It's Piers Anthony. I think the novel came after the movie which threw me off. The screen play was written by Philip K. Dick and the story was originally called, We can something for wholesale..I don't really remember.

Correct Sis. Earnest Hemingway wrote "A Farewell to Arms." Incidentally, Hemingway, in real life, during the German occupation of france was once thirsty. So he stole a German tank, drove it to his favorite bar and "liberated" it from the Germans at the end of their own cannon barrel. Ya gotta love a man like that.

Question 38 worth two points.

Who wrote the Novel titled "Total Recal." (Note: Yes, it is the same story as the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. I want the author of the novel, not the screen play or anything like that.)

Nicholas was the son of Prince Tristan who died BEFORE he was born. The Sorceress carrying him juped off a cliff to her death while Nicholas was still in the womb.

....... I guess that's worth the points. I just asked who the character was not how he died or anything like that. So yeah, he was Tristans son.

Nicholas was the son of Prince Tristan, who died before seeing his own birth.

I think I got that right.

Close enough though the dragons name was Bazil Broketail not Brokentail. Doesn't make that much of a difference so you get the points.

Relkin is the dragonboy of Bazil Brokentail. This means that he is in charge of caring for Bazil and maintaining his equipment since Bazil is a battle dragon that fights for the Empire. The novels that he is from are the Bazil Brokentail series (ie Dragons of Argonath, Dragon Ultimate, etc)

Hopefully I got that right.

The double "kk" in the names signified that the person was a descendant of the prisoners that were the original settlers of the planet they were on in the book. Anyone else on the planet with the k's in their name was considered a free citizen, something akin to nobility or the wealthy and priviliged. The rest were bond servants, basically meaning slaves sold into bondage. They could earn money though to buy their bond paper and make themselves into a free citizen.

It's a good series I recommend everyone read it.

It signified that they were prisoners. Like an inmate number. Or was it the descendants of the prisoners?

Yeah. You got half of it Cuz. Shadows father was the Norse God Odin, the All Father, Old One Eye and numerous other names. The thing that he did that his father also did was hang himself from the tree of life. I'll give you one point for that one.

If I remember correctly, the memory palace was a technique for memory in which you create a detailed palace in your mind, where every piece of the palace is tied to a certain memory. You create the palace perfectly, remembering all the details, and thusly all those memories.

Oni you are correct it was anti-matter and the method in which it was being used makes it a weapon. A pencil is just a pencil, until you stab someone in the eye with it or something, THEN it has become a weapon. Savy?

Anywho. the scores.

Your right WhiteRose... it was the other one. The wepon was a sample of anti-mater.

But is that really a weapon? It could be used as a wepon, but really it's just a substance.

Shouldn't answer this since I actually heard the answer today whenw e were talking about it. It was black matter ((I think, with my luck it's the other that was mentioned)

Good Elara. If someone else would like to continue this they may do so for a time. It just seems rather pointless to me right now so it will probably be a while before I am up to continuing. Someone else take over in my absence.

EDIT:

I apologize for the tone of my last few posts. I had some problems going on that were really screwing me up. Things are a lot better now though so on with the quiz.

Ballybran, and it is Black Crystal that is most valuable because it is perfect for communications over the universe when cut right (i.e. someone with perfect pitch).
