Hmmm...sounds like a plan Zabuza...let's go

I couldn't agree more with Zabuza there though...if money isn't an issue, then you can keep on trying until you're blue in the face.

Besides, I'm one of those people that can study five minutes before an exam, take the test and pass, and forget everything I crammed a few minutes earlier. I love my brain. It's like Fappy, a sponge.

But, yeah, why worry about tests? Unless you're at an expensive university where money talks, then yeah, die worrying. Otherwise, take the course again next semester...whatever. Let's all run on the beach and make fun of the ocean!!

Right before a big exam I dont panic that much as long as I know what the exams on...If I dont then I panic.

I tend to be pretty laid back, so I just do what I have to do. If I need to study, I study. If I know the material well enough, I don't. I never really understood why so many people get worked up about this.

Partly in response to what Zabuza said: What's the point in worrying if you relax after you fail? If you pass, no problem. If you fail, apparently that's not a problem either. So why worry?

I don't. Like Zabuza said, the word "relax" and "exam" don't belong in the same sentence. The only I would be able to do it is to forget all about it. Aside from that, I get very nervouse and end up biting off my nails.

But some people just can't study. Like I said, I don't really. I can't. Whenever I try, I don't retain the information....that and some people like working underpressure as well...I'm like that with essays. I can't do them 'til the night before they're due. I've experimented. I've handed in what I did the night before and got a perfect score on it, then asked my teachers to read what I tried to get done ahead of time and they basically said that it was garbage compared to what I handed in...I did an essay in 8th grade for some fire saftey thing, didn't know it was a contest, I just thought it was an assignment...did it the night before and placed 3rd out of the thousands in the city who were entered into the contest. (Even though 3rd out of thousands sounds okay, ya also gotta consider the people who didn't take it seriously at all, whether it was just an assignment or not.

**shrugs** So some people can't study, some people don't have to, some people can work under pressure, and others are in between. I can't study, but I can't go without reviewing either.

I'm pretty much the same way.

I study, I get horrible grades.
I don't study, I do fine.

If I study for hours upon hours, and do absolutely nothing but that, it helps quite a bit ... but, I'm not really the type to ever do that really.

Relax? There is no relaxing. That word simply doesn't fit in the same sentence with "exams". Quizzes maybe. Tests maybe, but not exams. Relaxing comes after you've failed the exam, and accepted it. That's it.

Which reminds me, I have to drop my classes before it's too late in the semester. You just go in, B.S. your way through the exam, then leave accepting your failure. That's it. Or, you don't go to class at all, and then just play around knowing that you've failed without making an effort. Sometimes, I just forgot that I had exams mostly because I didn't attend class.

The exams that I could pass were my prouder moments, but still a little unnerving when you're taking the test. Fortunately, some instructors allow you to leave once you're done with the exam...

**blinks** I was confused with Elara once on NfF, and now here with Rogue...I'm honored. Teehee...

Anywho...wow...first time I've added something to a thread that was actually noticeable. Yay! I'm getting smarter! **does a dance** lol, kidding...

That's the only tough thing about it...those 10 minutes do add up when you've got a bunch of things to do....mostly the only responsibilities I have are taking care of the kids and running the house, but when the kids (most of them) are old enough to help out, it's pretty simple to hold your book in one hand and vacumn with the other. It's not too bad, so that's why I have the time I guess....and I'm a nerd and actually LIKE school and all lol.

Let's see...how do I relax?

I don't. I get major test anxiety. It's really giving me trouble in my algebra class. Her tests are 70% of your grade. I can usually get by but with this class it's killing me.

It depends on the subject for me. If it is one that I am really good at, like basic biology (anything to do with the cell or genetics in particular), then the most I do is look over my notes right before the test for obscure information. I didnt even study for my last social biology test and I got an A, so yeah.

However, if it is a harder subject like math or psychology, then I will study. I usually don't study until the day before though, which in a way is bad for me. I always wanted to try Raven's system, but I never quite had the time thanks to the slave-driver parents and my own habit of being easily distracted *sees something shiny and runs off... okay I'm back*

But yeah, I also do a bit of last minute review right before the test, mainly just the terms or concepts that I know I will have trouble with, so that it will be fresh in my memory. I think I may have to adopt Raven's system for my wildlife biology class though, since my current system doesn't work too well for the amount of info that we have on those tests.

I will say this though, tests in high school are much easier for the most part.

MY magical trick for relaxing for exams is that I don't relax. I don't relax, and I procrastinate, and I study at the last minute (not cramming), and I get sort of freaked out just before the xam, and then I go in and take it and do fine because I kick ass.

Like Tamarin, I don't really study for tests. When I do, my mind usually gets confused over stuff and such. I just go along with the test, and I end up usually getting high marks on it anyway. (Examples (real tests, by the way), 72/74, 69/72, 54/60, and so on). Altogether, I'm usually not nervous for tests or exams. Unless of course, the test decides my final grade, lose I fail, win I pass, but I don't think that's ever going to happen.

Normally I do what I’ve always done. The night before the test, even if I know for a fact that I am not ready, go to the gym and relax in the spa and maybe swim a few laps. Then Ill go home and eat a large dinner at a decent hour, and maybe watch a movie. I get a good 7 or 8 hours of sleep, and wake up early, eat a poptart, and get a good start to the bus. I don’t think about failing the exam but what I am going to do after it. That way I am willing to do the best I can so I can get done and do something I enjoy more. But who doesn’t love taking a nice long exam?

I review over my notes too, I mean I sometimes literally go blank when I have to study over a text book, just too complicated. I have a good notes system going though and sometimes I get together with my friends and we help each other study, like going over the notes and making up questions etc

I relax by not studying. Then again, I never needed to study anyway, so I dunno how much that'll help. If you can, try listening to music. Always helps me relax... then again, it's usually while taking the test that people get nervous, and a lot of teachers don't allow you to listen to music while you take a test. If your teacher allows it, though...

Ummm... Cyro, do you mean to say "Raven" and not Rogue?

How do I study or get prepare for the exam? Sometime, I am very lazy to study. However, if I have a study guide for every exam we have, it would be easy for me. But when it come to Math quiz/exam/etc. I alway goes, MAN, math is cool, they can help me alot!

Well... not all math problem. but as least I like Math the most.

Plus, whenever I take the test or exams, I pretend that I am a character like in Fire Emblem. In fact, I am the only guy (with a pencil) fighting the entire enemy (those multiple choice) and if I do good, I get to slaughter all of those multiple choices.

And if I failed, whatever left the precentage of my exam = the pecentage of my 100 HP. So if I got a 50%, then that mean I got 50 HP. But as least I was able to slaughter those multiple choice through. Work or no work...

Ummm... don't look at me weird. I just let my imagation get the best of me.

But I usually study sometime.

I hvae exams in a couple of weeks. And you know what. Tests or exams don't phase me. I honestly am extremely calm when taking tests. The really big thing that I might worry about are the SATs which I still have to take...
