Aww, this was a pleasent thing to wake up to find. 
I know most people will not be able to wrap their head around a full name change. But not only do I want to cut all ties from my family, I feel as if my name is a legacy to a person I longer am. |

Well it's your choice ... just don't go crazy with choosing a name. I could never change my last name or even first name, its something I've grown up with that people know me as, that I know myself as, i don't know it would be like I was a completely different person, I would hate it 
But your reason for changing your last name I understand. |

I used to have a couple people I know from here post on the old boards, and they called me Jin time to time.. But seriously. Me and Makura havd discussed this.. My new name will be Jamie Corbin. Maybe maynard could be my middle name? Jamie Maynard Corbin? |

Kind of an interesting topic.
I've been "labled" under 3 different "last names", or whatever you shall call them. My birth dads, which at the moment I can't even remember. My grandparents (my mom and I lived with my grandparents for the first 3 years of my childhood, so I took their name, since I didn't have a dad and my mom wasn't married. My birth dad moved away and went into the military, haven't seen him since I was 3, so I don't know if he even exists to this day, and I can't even remember what he looked like) Then I took my 'adopting' fathers name. I don't like my last name either, but then I really don't care about it. To me, it's just some stupid name, nothing I'd really care to put effort into changing or anything. ... Anyways, just don't go with Smith. Not sure about Corbin though, I've heard that as a first name quite often. |

my new full name will be. Maynard Anthony Corbin. I will go by 'Corbin'. Any objections? |

Mike Corbin doesn't sound that bad... Heck, it sound alot cooler.
Now let see... last name... Last name... Mike Lachesis Mike Azel Mike I-dunno-about-my-last-name (Sorry, that was joke.) Mike Noish (Ooo, I like that last name!) Mike L'Arachal (Don't give me that look!) Mike Corbin (Kinda like Mike Noish, got a decent sound to it.) Mike Finn Or something a little funny: Mike Fury ... What? I wished I could change my last name... I just don't like the sound of it, plus it is annoying to hear my full name in a serious tone voice. |

Hmm, I also thought about "Corbin"... Mike Corbin has a slight ring to it...
I would love to have 'Maynard' as my last name. But "Mike Maynard" sounds weird. |

I love my maiden last name, but I also hate it. My mom has her first husband's last name, & my father insisted I have his last name (Crow). Right now I'm still using my ex-husband's last name (Palmer), but I honestly can't wait to change it back. |

Alright, I hate my last name. Not only is it a horrible last name I don't want to be associated with my "biological" dad.
Nor do I want to change it to reflect that of my mom or step dad's family's.. So I'm coming up with this out of no relatives. So far I like Norton and Boyd.. Mike Boyd? Mike Norton? I don't know.. |
