Doing so breaks rules 2, and 11

2. No God Modding.
God Modding is exactly as it sounds: Acting like a God. When you act like a god, your are being unfair to your opponent. Any sorts of things can be counted as "GM"ing, such as dodging every attack thrown at you by using unreasonable speeds, using overly powerful attacks that don't ware down your body, or mental state, taking damage and pretending it never happend, or blocking any attack thrown at you, with no signs of weakening. Other oftenly used GMing abilites would be Mind Reading, and Fore Sight to dodge attacks. This is cheap, and unfair.

11. Descriptions.
Your posts should be thought out with care. Never should an attack description say "Impossible" or "Cannot" when talking about what your opponent may or may not do to avoid, or counter the attack. Instead of saying Impossible, or Indestructible, state just how powerful the object, or spell is, and say what the spell can counter, or what it's immune to.
By thinking logically, your description can be thought out clearly enough where there will be no question as to "How did that happen" or "What did you do". If an object is indestructable, you must state exactly how it became to be so durable, or if a spell is so powerful, you must explain exactly why its that powerful.
Spells of intenst power will either require a very powerful downfall upon the caster, or multiple posts just to gather the energy to cast the spell.

Why would the person be a judge if they don't battle anymore? It's kind of like someone moderating a forum they never visit. =/

However, if you did find a retired fighter that'd be willing to judge, I could see that working out... otherwise, just watch for inconsistencies between battles, for example being immune to Holy in one fight, and completely absorbing it in the next.

I really just don't like the idea of Weaknesses and Immunities being known. It takes the fun out of battling. For example (This is an obvious one) Kaijin is immune to Darkness. I've had an opponent in the past not know this, and hit me with it.

Weaknesses don't necessarily need to be posted. However I think having one's immunities listed is imperative.

If a person can't think of a way to get out of a move they can say "I'm immune to it" without needing any proof.

The 'sheet' would only be seen by a selected few. It's not like it would be flaunted out for all to see.

Do we have one of those?

LoL, in response to Kaijin, no, I don't have an idea. Like I said, this idea could work...if we polish certain things.

That's exactly the problem...

Maybe Sparda has an idea or two on that?

That might work, the judge idea. Though I'm a bit sketchy on it.

We could revert all our Judges and Trainers back to our Staff only rule, and have all the character's sheets posted, by the judges, in a staff viewed only forum/thread, thus preventing normal fighters seeing it.

I really just don't like the idea of Weaknesses and Immunities being known. It takes the fun out of battling. For example (This is an obvious one) Kaijin is immune to Darkness. I've had an opponent in the past not know this, and hit me with it.

The look on his face was priceless, and made the fight more intresting.
For both fighters.

I'm for the judge idea. By this method, the opponent will not be able to see a fighter's strengths and weaknesses in a stat sheet, if it is revealed, thus, preventing him from gaining an unfair advantage. And the judge can simply refer to the stat sheets from the two fighters to decide of something was illegal or not...though some nooks and crannys of this idea would have to be polished.

The stat sheet wouldn't have to show weaknesses and strengths.

Having only:
-Elemental Immunities
-Status Immunities
-Status Boosters
and Elemental Abilities should be sufficient.

As Cyro said it could be available to only the judges if it presents that big of a problem.

With the stat sheet thing, the person's opponent wouldn't necessarily have to look at it, and instead all information could go to a judge so he can watch if fighters are being cheap. In other words veiwing the stats could be limited to just the judges. Maybe that could work.

I personally disagree with you, Kaijin. A true simbattler doesn't change who they are based on thier enemy, but stays true to their character. Also, one shouldn't be afraid of another person looking up information on your character. Seeing as how characters change over time, a profile would be the most accurate source of information. In past fights, someone might have used a move that had just made up and such.

So, I agree with the second idea, but not entirely the first...

Yeah, I'm going to have to go against it too. Before my current character, I never had a sheet. I'll probably take out Laex's too soon, because I don't like all of the information to be read, as too many people take advantage of seeing my character.

So yeah, I also read other past battles before I fight people, which I would like to not be a waste. I'm voting no for both.

I'm not in favor of Xeios' rule, or the stat sheet.

'Stat Sheets' should not be manditory, just like how it is now. All the sheet would accomplish is a Cheat Sheet for your opponent, for they would know all your immunities, weakness's, abilites, and whatnot, and tweak their character accordingly so they could win the fight easily.

I'd say if they truely wan't to know information on the character, then have them acctually get off their ass and read past fights.

Well, if it's just a stat sheet, then I have absolutely no problem with that. But to what degree is the stat sheet enough?

-Elemental Immunities
-Status Immunities
-Status Boosters
-Elemental Boosters

What else should be necessary for a stat sheet?

Note: I still disagree with Xeios rule but I'm in favor of the "stat sheet" idea.

Yes.

I think it only should be applied in matches that matter (Tournaments, Ranking, Belt Challenges) and be optional in casual fights.

I'm sort of for both sides in this. One of the things I strongly encourage to other people is to be true to your characters' abilities. I don't like it when people suddenly come up with something to get out of a situation, so for some people a "stat sheet" should be made, but why force just them? It would be a little like discrimination if no one else had to do the same. People shouldn't be making stuff up anyway.

I didn't vote because I agree with both sides.

I think for tournaments and belt matches a basic profile should be mandatory. Not necesarily a move list but what your character is capable of doing. (Elements, immunities, status boosters, ect.) That way people can't just pull moves their character isn't capable of doing out of their ass.

But I think it should stop there. Improvisation happens in almost every battle so a technique list would only hinder the battle.

well, maybe not well written. But there should at least be a profile with basic details. So that research could be done well before a fight is issued.
