That's a cool instrument, but I would not say it is the best. While I like how it can basically cover the lead and bass of a song with one skilled player, I still do not have the incredible solo power of a skilled lead guitarist, the melodic charm of a well-played piano, or the beat power of a bass. Also, it sound is kind of exotic.
I do love it though and I think I wanna get it, but I'm content with other instruments. ^.^ |

wow... it's like playing a piano and not having to worry about the problem of pressing the keys too hard. wow...
It's an awesome instrument, something I would find myself messing around with on my free time. XD |

Very nice insturment, though I certaintly would not call it the best.
I hope to hear of some bands that use the chapman stick to its full potential and even beyond. |

this is a video of the 8 - 12 string tapping instrument called the Chapman Stick. It's been around since the 70's but is only starting to be widely recognized now. These instruments are all hand made and a pretty penny. Sometime within the next 7 years, I hope to get one. In some extra scene in the movie Dune, it features Emmett Chapman(the Stick's creator) playing on it, representing the baliset.
