I'll watch the trailer some time, but I read it's Wiki at least, and just beat MGS2 like...half an hour ago, really (well, the Xbox version). That game was great. Really, as it progressed, I just got more and more into it. I thought it was just going to be another flat "Stop Metal Gear" thing. But it went pretty deep with that storyline. Yeah, you had to stop Arsenal Gear, but there's more to everything.
-Vamp is awesome. He still lives. -I actually like Raiden, although he is kinda whiney. Still like him, though. -The Patriots thing is funky. After beating 2 I finally get the title of 4. 
But yeah - I await this game quite a bit. Too bad the PS3 is going to be damn expensive. =/ Not even a bump lol |

Spoiler: What I wonder, is who Meryl was talking to. At a few glances, it honestly looked like Ocelot or something to me. And how could she still be alive? But, I really doupt thats it. I'm sure she's talking to someone on Snakes side, because it would be a good move for the plot for the allies ... to become the next Foxhound. For your country? Or for your beliefs? Amazing. |

What bugs me is this, Im sure naomi programmed the FOXDIE to that point in time for a reason. And Im damn near sure its connected to Snake's attempt at suicide We wont know untill we see it...2007 is right around the corner |

I hated Raiden. But, I can simply say with this game, he has redeemed himself (already with the trailers). The idea of him being the new Cyborg Ninja is awesome. (random note, his Japanese voice is great compared to the American one).
So yeah, my friends and I are so hyped about this game its not even funny. MGS3 was probably one of the most emotional games I've ever played, and these short trailers captured that emotion easily. A crazy idea I have about Snake ... Spoiler:
He does kill himself. But then Raiden, takes an arm of his, or something and ... just like Liquid and Ocelot they become one. Yeah, thats a funny idea, and extremely far fetched ... but its something, right? =P And if it hasn't been stated already, just like MGS3 all those scenes in these trailers were realtime, THAT was what the game is going to look like. MGS4 in my opinion, has already become -the game- to buy a PS3 for. |

I dont think Hideo will make it to where you will play as Raiden, for the sole purpose that he has made snake to be that serious in the storyline. But we will not know untill the game comes out. And wow, The trailer made it to where Snake can change to his surroundings... Watch the 15 minute trailer and youll see what I mean... |

Metal Gear Solid has always used in-game cinematics to progress its story along. And as Sajin stated, Hideo Kojima has said that he will always make his games like that. |

Look up Hideo Kojima's Blog and interviews....Reading them will answer that its not made from a computer, its from the Playstation 3's hardware.
And the Cover Story of MGS4 on Playstation Magazine ( I think Issue 96-98 ) states that he will never make computer generated cut-scenes for his games...Reason being is that its cheating the hardware, and also seen how he can do a hell of alot more things with the PS3, he dosent need to... And I diddnt mean CGI's...Theres another word for it....You know on Games like Final Fantasy 10 where it cuts to a georgous scene? THose scenes are made from computers, and where you are actually playing the game...theres a difference. Kojima has NEVER done, and WILL NEVER do the same mistake as other companies have... |

You realize it's still CGI, though. Whether its in-game cinematics or pre-rendered animation, it's still computer generated images (CGI). I'm familiar with in-game cinematics, and prefer that to watching a pre-rendered video. It's like creating your own movie set, and placing all the characters are your actors within that set. I think it's far easier to do that, offering the flexibility to place the characters in environments that are already coded for the game.
But, since the game is created on a computer, everything is CGI. I meant to clarify, and comment as to a pre-rendered video rather than in-game cinematics. |

One thing that Hideo has stated on EVERY interview about the MGS series is that he never used CGI's, you notics on every metal gear that on cutscenes, its the exact same models, the exact same graphics you will see when your playing the game...
So no doubt, thats not CGI/ Computer generated graphics for you, thats the real fucking deal... Im an Otaku, I know my shit |

Just saw the most exquisite trailer for MGS4 at E3 on the giant screen at Sony. Wow. Yet, not really impressed because I don't care much for MGS series. Still, I'm hoping this is actual PS3 footage and not just a video generated thingy. I'll find out when I play the PS3 tomorrow.

He was talking about Meme's, thats Genetic data...Not to mention that on the first Trailer they have successfully cloned big boss onto every soldier...Sp perhaps maybe the reason Snake may be doing that is so that way he can kill the genetic data....Somehow, im guessing FOXDIE was altered a bit...Remember on MGS1 that Naiomi altered the program? Perhaps snake had to "Live" like Naiomi told him to do untill MGS4... Thats my guess....Sound good? |
