Getting them pulled surely has its different affects on others.

My friend got his pulled a few weekends ago, and the next day he went out with friends and I to go see X3.

Me? It was hell for me honestly. Here's how I remember it also:

- Sat in the chair, they started talking to me and asking me questions while they put the gas mask thing over my mouth.
- Next thing I know, it looks like I'm waking up in a completely different building in a hospital bed.
- We get my stuff at the counter, as I am wheelchaired out to the car.
- The next thing I know, I'm waking up in my bed. I seriously cannot remember leaving the car at all. My mom said she basically had to carry me to my room.

So yeah, drugs that put me to sleep ... PUT me to sleep.

The following week I felt like total crap. It felt like I had a high fever and all I wanted to do was lay in bed.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out last summer at boot camp. Majorly sucked.

Out of 120 people a day, they have to IV sedate about 5 people every day, due to complexity of the operations they occasionally have to do.

So I was one of those lucky 5. Too bad it didn't knock me out ( I knew it wouldn't, my local dentist usually uses about 3-9 extra doses of novocane (SP?) or even heavier stuff whenever he works on my mouth due to my chemical resistance)

So part way through, I tell him "I'm still awake and you're hurting me" as he was taking out fragments of my first or second tooth after they broke into my jaw and shattered the tooth.

His response:

"Shut up. I'm the only one who's supposed to be talking here"

And he continued to take the rest out.

And for the next 2 months, I had jaw fragments coming out of my gums on occasion. Really sucky. But hey. That's the grand ol' navy for you.

|V|ã§†ê® Nªrú†õ™...why didn't you just ask them to knock you unconscious? It's not too bad, I only forgot like a couple of seconds before it.

That way you couldn't have had to vomit up blood.

i had two of my bottoms out about two years ago, a week after i graduated from HS. pretty great time to take it out actually, is in the summer. considering how it takes a week before you could actually eat, followed by another week of stinky breathe. but i didnt have both out at the same time, i had the other one out a month after. anyways, i wasnt put to sleep. i find it funny that most people were put to sleep =/ but yeah, lots of pain... for some reason, one on the left top side of my mouth is growing. it's half grown, and it's been like that for a month now =/

and yeah, i heard it was like $500-700 a tooth =/ good thing i didnt have'ta pay

I had my first wisdom tooth pullled a couple of weeks ago. It sucked.....it sucked when I got the painkiller shots. It felt when I felt them pulling the tooth out. It sucked when it hurt and had to get a few more shots. It sucks when they pulled it out and blood almost went in my windpipe cause the nurse didn't do the suction thing right. It sucked when I swallowed a bunch of blood, then threw it up cause of the taste. All of it sucked......really bad

I need to have my wisdom teeth pulled... But I need money more than I need them pulled at this exact moment in time, lol. I only have teeth growing in on the bottom... which I find very strange. They don't appear at all in xrays on the top. I have a theory though, because one day while I was brushing my teeth I brushed over this one spot on my upper teeth/gums... and it hurt really bad for like, 5 minutes.. I think my uppers are growing in the wrong spot... lol.

as for my lowers.. lets say they'll hurt coming out because they're growing horizontally instead of vertically. >.>;

I've never had wisdom teeth removed, but going to the dentist used to be freaky experiences for me. Nothing like having someone use all sorts of drills on you when out of the corner of your eye, you can see a pint of blood hanging off to the side in case I lost too much blood. (I've actually needed it, but only like 3 times and those were when I was really little)

**thinks** Hell, I don't even think my wisdom teeth have even started growing in. **Shrugs** I know nothing about this kinda stuff. Just that I go to the dentist regularly and they haven't said anything was wrong.

**huggles** Well, I'm glad you're alright Vulkar. Even though you may have felt fine at first, there's a reason why ya gotta rest when you're on them things.

I'm posting this under influence of painkiller drugs, so expect a lot of typos.

So, yesterday then I had my wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon took out some of my blood, then put it back in(no clue why). Next, he put in a large canister of clear looking liquid. He supposedly put in one more thing designed to make me sleep, but I don't remember that.

Next, just very vague in my memory is that I woke up, my mom and a nurse helped me to the car, and I was driven home. We watched a movie there(I was only just barely able to keep awake), and I decided I was fine.

So, I cancelled all vacations on its account, and am currently better than expected. I had an impacted jaw, and the fact that I'm able to walk around only a couple hours later was a suprise.

However, during the movie then I walked to the bathroom, used it, then walked into the kitchen. I nearly blacked out due to painkillers. However, as of now, I'm fine. So, everyone who has had their wisdom teeth removed, tell us of your experiences.
