Actually the talk of people acting are the ones that claim to be bisexual when they really aren't. They'll do it because it's trendy (like it is in Los Angeles), because it's a way of rebelling against their parents, or because they think it will attract the opposite sex more. They've never actually been attracted to the same sex, never dated their own sex, or even kissed them... but they claim to be.

Otherwise I agree with what you said about the tomboy thing. Stereotypes are never a good thing, and even moreso here.

--Taking off my layout...warning, this may end up being REALLY long--

Okay, I didn't read most of the debate between Sajin and Thex (Sorry you guys, nothing against either of you guys, it just went off topic is all)

Oh, and I may end up repeating something someone's already said, so I appologize in advance.

Homosexuality is a VERY sore subject with me. Why? Because I see gay people getting their asses kicked all the time and that just rubs me the wrong way. In fact, I remember talking to Zabuza about it a while ago about a friend of mine. (Your advice helped btw....he still runs into trouble, but he's not afraid of himself anymore. )

Homosexuality is NOT wrong!!! And because I'm just one big ball of dire need of anger management, if anyone ever says otherwise to my face that it is wrong, then I'm breaking your jaw so you can't talk and say it anymore. And if you don't learn your lesson, then I'll just do it again.

I know, that's closed-minded of me. I'm actually VERY closed-minded on this topic and as of now, there is NO changing my mind. **shrugs** 'Least I'll admit my fault.

Anywho. Who the fuck decided that it wasn't right? I HATE it when people use the Bible as an excuse. Forget everything else that was said about the Bible regarding this topic...the Church, what the religion means truly is that it's okay to be gay. So fuck anyone who says "You can't be gay because the Bible says so." Fuck that shit. The Bible actually says it's okay to be gay...the only thing the religion speaks against is homosexual action. However, all the people who say they're soooo faithful to the Bible, it also speaks out against violence and shit like that...so you know what? All you assholes who say you're just following the Bible, yet you bash homosexuality and feel that you're in a position to judge another like that?!

Oh, and also...guess what? Sex before marriage is JUST as wrong as homosexual activity. Using forms of contraceptives is also just as wrong. Accotding to the Bible. So any asshole who wants to preach about how homosexual activity is wrong, make sure you're a virgin if you're not married, and if you are married, make sure that you were a virgin until your marriage and that you've NEVER put on a freaking condom or used the frigging pill!!! (Actually, certain contraceptives are okay, according to the religion, but only in extreme circumstances, which is another topic of discussion.) That way you'll at least have a leg to stand on in the debate...but then at that point, that's when everything else you guys have said about the Bible comes in.

K...done with bitching about what I feel about the topic in general...what do I feel about *personally*? Well as far as the quote "what you do in the bedroom is your business" I disagree slightly with that...but that's got NOTHING to do with just homosexuality. People have used STD's as an excuse...well guess what? Gay or straight, they still go around, so fuck that statement. But then there are the people who have a lot of kids and leach off of the country's welfare system. I know, I have a big family, but we all work our asses off. We don't see each kid as a tax deduction. We see them as another joy in the world that we're responsible to take care of, no matter how many jobs or sleepless nights we must endure. Anywho...so when it's doing something that disrupts society as a whole, then yeah, it's everyone's business...but that's got to do with personal judgement too, ya know? Good people are good people. Bad people are bad people. Straight, gay, bi, black, white, woman, man....I don't give a shit who you are. Wanna know why? Because we all bleed the same. We are all human. So just because you're a certain ethnicity, religion, have a certain sexual orientation...doesn't make you a bad person. So, if there is are gay people and they're both good people, mindful of how much of a responsibility sexual intercourse is, then it's no one's frigging business.

I don't know how else I can reiterate my point...maybe I shouldn't have said anything at all here, because it only makes me angry. **shrugs**

Oh, and anyone notice how I didn't mention every two seconds that I'm straight? Because you are what you are. Fact is, I am straight. So why is there a need for me to say it over and over again? The only opinion on my sexual orientation that truly matters is my own, and I'm very comfortable in my orientation and don't need to prove jack to anyone else.

Oh wait! Wasn't it mentioned how people acted? Guess what, (even though I may be contradicting myself here by mentioning this again. ) But I am straight. Guess what? I played ice hockey for 11 years...and it wasn't an all girls team. Goalie at that. I've broken more noses that I can count. Long story short, some guy messed with my little sister, I broke his fingers on his right hand as well as his arm (Trust me, he did something REALLY bad.) Hmmm...lesse...what else? Oh! I like video games, I have no problem rough housing with the boys...I could go on and on...so...does that automatically make me a bulldyke? And don't give me the bullshit that it's okay for girls to be "tomboy's" because if that were really true, then it would be perfectly fine for a straight man to be "flamboyant", just like it would be for a gay man to be the kind of guy who could rip your face off with just one hand. And do all lesbains have to be "manly"? Being "Tom-boyish" or "flamboyant" are personalities....again...*personalities*...so don't go assuming that two of those things determine whether one is straight or not.

**takes a breather** K, I really am gonna stop now. I was by no means bashing anyone here, and I'm sorry if I came out too angrily here. This is just a topic that I feel very passionately about. A very good friend of mine has come to me in tears...and this boy, who would do anything for me btw, should NOT be afraid or ashamed of himself...it just irks me to no end. So anywho, I was ranting here and speaking in general, so please, don't take what I've said personal, and you all can yell at me anyway if I have insulted anyone in any way. Mmmmmmkay?

*snickers* Pro-Family Guy... haha... TV rules... warps my mind...

I think I'm a bi poser... If anyone asks if I'm gay, I just say I'm bisexual so they can't really say anything against me.

but I'm really not...

... so why am I shifty eyeing all of this?

I love the president's speach in that clip because it sums it up perfectly. Times change and you have to deal with it. Another good clip was the second Daily Show one, that pro-family guy was an idiot... quality of life going down my ass. It's this slippery slope fallacy that allowing gay marriage will cause values to plummet and all that stuff. That state is doing just fine since it allowed it, it hasn't fallen into a pit of debauchery like the homophobes said it would.

It's not wrong, and it's not a choice. As for bisexuality, I have seen the trendy thing as well and it's dumb, so dumb. Real bisexuals are well and good and more power too them, but the posers are just annoying.

Yeah, but the mentality of a straight male, bisexual male, and gay male are entirely different. If I were presented with having to prove my sexuality as a bisexual male, I would confirm it to defend my sexuality. However, as a gay male, I'm not going to kiss some random guy. As a straight male, I'm not going to kiss some random girl.

But, that doesn't make my plan null and void. It's a valid argument. Just because it doesn't apply to you doesn't mean that it doesn't apply to everyone.

i'm a straight male, and if you tell me to kiss some random girl, i wouldnt do it... so yeah... plan = null and void. =P

I have always heard that from girls. "You'd be a perfect boyfriend, if you weren't gay." Yeah, thanks.

But, I had straight friends, that will pretend to be bi just to get the girls. So, I expose them. Kiss me. Yeah, you heard me. If you're bi you should be able to; no problem, right?

I have no problem killing the straight boys plans.

thats like i said, they are trying to get the advantages of being gay. The advantages, that ironically, gay men don't need...because their gay. Its the whole, he's a great guy, if only he wasnt gay. But bisexual people arent....you get what i mean?

I concur. Bisexuality has become some sort of fad. The whole 'I make out with other chicks, therefore I am Bi' philosophy gets on my nerves.

I know several guys that are like that too. They're like "Chicks dig bi guys." So....you're pretending to like boys to get girls. That hardly makes sense.

A true bisexual person is one who is attracted to the person, not because of their being any paricular sex, but because of who the person is and so on.

Where I used to work, I was surrounded by people who'd say they were bi because it was cool to say that. They might kiss someone of the same sex, but really that means nothing, unless it's truly something that makes you feel something. And often enough it was someone trying to get their significant other off by saying or doing these things (example: Two girls making out because they want to turn on all the guys and try to make them interested in them). Yes, it's a very shallow reason, but I saw it all the friggin' time.

It always baffles me when people say they don't believe in bisexuality, yet they believe in homosexuality, heterosexuality, and asexuality. How the idea of being attracted to both genders is rejected by many in gay and straight community is beyond me. I agree that it can be used as a front for not coming out all the way. One of my best friends is like that. But two of my other friends are without a doubt bi and have no fear of letting the world know.

Yes, I can. I can turn them on and off at will. Mostly after years of conditioning and training. It doesn't mean their gone, it just means they aren't being shown at the time that my body would like them to be shown.

My gaydar doesn't work. Disneyland broke it. So, I can't tell unless their exhibiting signs of flaminess. And, even then, some of the most flamey people at Disneyland turned out to be straight and married, so that's why my gaydar is broken.

It's true that it's not a choice. I may have chosen to stop hiding it and selectively come out, but I didn't choose to be gay. I can't just turn it on or off like an emotion; and I do admit that I'm more attracted to the person than the anatomy in their pants. It's just that the people I'm attracted happen to be men. Sometimes, women. But women are never in a sexual fashion.

2 things--

first, i hate bi people. just because i feel that guys who are bi, are just doing it so they can get the advantages of being gay (because you have to admit, there are some) while still being able to date girls.

second, i found the perfect disproof for sajin. Fear. you don't choose to be afraid of something, its just part of your personality. just like being gay or straight.
