So, we've finally finished. Anybody have any last comments or thoughts?
Me, I loved this RP, and I had a great time doing it with you all. Can't wait till the next one. |

YES!!! ZOMG...he would be PERFECT for Josiah.
And teehee...I've seen Dexter. |

So I may have found our Josiah
Michael C. Hall If any of you have seen Dexter, I'm sure you'll agree. |

Yeah, me and Cairoi have been talking about Seifer a lot. It's a hard choice. I halfheartedly threw out Viggo Mortensen. Cairoi seems to like Jared Leto.
No clue about Brad. Hm... |

Alright, so so far it seems like everyone has been cast except for the coolest character, and one of the characters who are not nearly so cool as my own.
I am at least pretending not to be biased in any way whatsoever. Who is Brad, and who is Seifer? |

Alright, fun time: Seifer, Holly, The Watcher, Alden, and Brad.
Cast away. |

I could see Norton as a Jeremy or Leon. I dunno about Josiah. But Damon, basically does the part he normally does at first, then pulls out his character from the Departed for the rest.
Were Stanley Tucci younger, he could do Jeremy too. |

Honestly, I could see Matt Damon. I say Matt Damon or Edward Norton. |

Cairoi pretty much has it down.
Josiah was a gentle scientist interested in solving problems of the world. He originally planned the shards to be an energy source. But when the government took away his life's work and threw him in an insane asylum to keep him quiet. He became obsessed with revenge, and when his shard returned to him, he snapped. He got his revenge, and turned to trying to get what, by his perverted logic, belonged to him: the world. All this is going to be revealed in the prequel. For some reason, my mind keeps bringing me back to Matt Damon for Josiah... |

Bettany's roles all ooze his British-ness, though. While he's one of my favorite actor, he's honestly not right for Josiah, either. Josiah just seems, background wise, very ambiguous. I must have different views of the characters than all of you.
I see Josiah as a gentle man gone mad due to the poisoning of the shards and the drive they've given him to accomplish his plan. I don't see him as anything close to an 'ultimate villain' in any regards than his power. Bettany is an epic man built for epic roles, he couldn't play Josiah. The only person I could see Bettany playing is the head of E'Shuyum, Jack. Seeing as how Jack IS British, and his role demands a more comedic twist, which Bettany can deliver. |

Bettany would be perfect. And did you mean Blackthorn, cause there's no Blockthorn. Don't think he'd be quite right though. |

I actually think that Paul Bettany would fit the bill for Josiah. Either him, or Paul Blockthorn. Neither of them seem usual, but in the movies where they've played as villians, I think they'd be perfect. |

EDIT: Taken out for Vulkar's sake.
Second of all, Kat's got it in the bag there. Christian Bale would be much better as Leon then Josiah. While Bale could pull off all the Josiahs, that's only because of his skill as an actor. He's not the right fit. If you could get a somewhat more laid back Edward Norton, I think that'd hit the bill. |

Christian Bale would play a much better Leon. He's done Equillibrium, and that's a beautiful view of the Zealotry which Leon has. Granted Leon is a little less wavering. Hugh Jackman could play a manlier character better. Josiah could be played by the guy who plays Jack on Lost(Can't recall his name). |

But I thought we already agreed on Hugh Jackman as Leon? I think Bale could pull off the timid Josiah, the badass Josiah, and the insane Josiah. |
Katana Posts: 2309/3649 |
I see Christrian Bale as more of a Leon-ish character...but that may be a bit of a personal bias. I kinda see a bit of an older version of Chris in Leon...and...well, Chris IS Christian Bale. I'm sure Cairoi can back me on this one. He just reminds me so much of him. |

So I think I may have come up with a good person to play Josiah:
Christian Bale Hm? |
