Don't merge them. Please. There will always be downtime in certain areas...think of this...fads...what happens? People are into one thing, it becomes extremely popular, then they move on to the next, so on and so on. Things always cycle back though, 'specially since this is a forum, the possibilities of where you can post aren't infinite.  So, General might be having some downtime, but I've noticed a lot of other forums getting a lot of attention.
I've seen this cycle on the board since I joined...oh...three years ago at MoD? |

Don't merge to many of them  there will be less and less forums I can visit, I miss the Newbie and Tricks, Jokes & Riddle forums 
The whole time I've been here General chat has always had it's ups and downs, there just might not be anything interesting to talk about at the moment, I've been trying to think up some things to put in there, but 'whats ya favourite colour' & 'what cereal you eat' have already been put in there. |

Eh, I see where you're coming from. It would be weird wihout a crazy forum though.
I just think people should be a little more relaxing when it comes to General Discussion. Basically it can be used for just about anyhing. Crazy should / could just mainly be used for the random quizes, I like Chicken Alfredo, weird games or random images and stuff, and junk like that. 
I think its fine to have both, but people shouldn't fear anything about posting just about anything in General. General really doesn't have to be SERIOUS! just the casual, everyday type of thing but SERIOUS! when needed. |

As many of you may have noticed, the posting in General has gone down quite a bit, and the posting in the Asylum has gotten less 'crazy'. General is supposed to be the forum for "I don't know which this belongs in, so I guess I'll put it here", and Asylum was more for "This doesn't belong anywhere, but it sure is funny, so I guess I'll put it here.
But recently Asylum has been getting the use of General. So why not make them one and the same? |
