No, definitely a hoo-yah, I'm in the US Navy Marines do the Huah, and I don't know what the army, chairforce, or the others do. Dun matter though, each has it's own history. Our's makes fun of the brittish, but anyhow
Basic eh? Where you heading off to, what branch etc? Maybe I could give you some pointers on stuff, or maybe not depending. Either way.

My PT consists of walking uphill from the parking lot to my class and back twice a week, as well as the occational treadmill stint. Yes, I need to do more, leave me be! |

right now my pt consists of my infrequently used treadmill, but soon it will consist of chasing screaming teenagers at Shipwreck (ship-WRECK!!!) for a full month, ducking into shadows, crawling along piping and dropping down infront of people that dont expect it MOOHOOHAAAHAHAHAH! and after that i am going to be taking a kung fu class in november, in conjunction with running four blocks a day wearing a 40 pound chainmail shirt.... |

I do it on a routine basis. I currently am on an exercise program, I play basketball every teusday(I'm bad at it), I play Ultimate Frisbee when I can, and I rarely get sore.
I was actually stronger than most people I know(who do exercise) before I started exercising, so I have no worries about strength. |

H'okay...so...I reach over and pick up the paddle. I then proceed to reach over with my other hand and I flick the switch in the back, right? So then, next, I hit the reset button in front that makes the light go green (Gah! Or blue, I forget) and I then sit back, k?
And after that my thumbs move about the paddle according to what is going on on the TV screen, and my mouth gets plenty of excercise from my constant swearing when I get a game over or something stupid like that happens. |

Somehow I got Weight Training 1st period, so I have 83 minutes of strenous running and lifting.
Obviously NOT my favorite class. |

I do the jog or walk around the block when I can, I've wanted to try them army physical training sessions, they do look a bit full on but I bet the exercise would be great. A few of my friends have tried it out and they say its worth trying it out. |

I have a situation with PT. Well, let see... A list may work.
- I often get sick whenever it mean pushing my body too hard or having fun. When we used to play kickball or dodgeball, my body instantly go from normal to hot & cold feeling. And this kills my strength to do some physical activities by the way.
- Often do I walk around on campus, the higher the chance I always get sick. Even without something around my neck, I choked often. This is even worse because during this moment, I feel like I need to puke. (Ew.)
- Diet work, but when I ended up on one, I even feel weaker and losing my strength often. Well, I EAT 2 times a day! I never get a decent lunch schedule and this made me adjust only to two times a day food schedule.
- Physical activity, done by my body excitement, WILL NEVER get sick if my brain demands to join in. But if it come out at a wrong time, I end up in hot & cold feeling.
Hot and cold feeling is when your body roughly changed in temporary while you can feel the coldness inside and your skin burning like fire. I HATE that and people think I was making up an excuse because I wasn't playing at my best...
Hell, even now, I do a little physical training and try to focus on diet since diet are better off then getting killed by sickness. So in short, I don't much physical activities. |

I guess fate gave me the ability to maintain a good body regardless that I never do any of this and my diet is absolutely horrifying (minus the fact I had olcers!)
Well, honestly the most exercise I get is probably walking around. At campus, and then doing all the random stuff I may do with my friends. And that's ... pretty much it.
Then again, I do labor work at my job. But I guess that's not training.
So ... never? |

I want a hoo-ya from all you military guys out there (Though few in number that we are)
Just got back from doing the River Run. From the barracks to the river, 1.5 miles, and then back. It's a run on a dirt road out in the swamp/forest off the site. Nice 3 mile run with two of my Navy buddies. Our PFA was last week, so there was no one out there but us and the fireflies.
It was a feel-good run, get my mind off things. A lot's been going on
So how often (if at all) do you go and PT? (Physical Training)
Either run, lift, aerobics, gymnastics, etc? And I'm talking actual serious PT, not just a swim in your pool joking around |
