It's kinda scary but I hope City Year will contact my references .Otherwise I have to contact my own references in order to complete my City Year application befoe April 15th.
I should also consider asking the company BEFORE I do anything. I got pleanty of time. |

I agree with Drizzt. Jobs don't always check references. None of my jobs ever have. Mainly because the first two were working for a my parents and the last two were jobs you don't need a brain for. |

Just provide the references on your application/resume and if they need to contact one they will. Just make sure you ask the person that your putting down as a reference first just to make sure it's ok with them.
Companys/jobs dont always contact references. So I wouldnt sweat it. So.. basically, let the company make the contacting. It's a whole lot easier that way |

if a company sees that you are suited, and motivated to persist on getting the job, you will have a higher chance of getting that job.
Dont let them call you, you should be the one calling them. Thats how I got my Job at Disney |

I'm a bit nervous about it, but what's the best way to do. Should I contact my own references to call that company. Or should I wait for them to call one of my references. Or have another reference and then let them know.
I'm clearly don't know what to do but I do need a job so badly. |
