Yeah, I know that SMB2 wasn't ORIGINALLY a Mario game, but ffs, that's what we grew up with and loved! Bad game = bad game, not port. All the others on the list are definitely crap, though.

Additionally, I'd just like to point out that the "real" SMB2 was little more than a simple romhack that much of the romhacking community has outdone, at least on a technical level...

It's not a bad game, but it's like comparing Madden 06 to Madden 07 (random untested comparison) - there's a few added features, but the underlying game is so similar that the changed details only matter to the hardcore fans of the series.

Even when I was a kid I thought SMB2 was pretty weird, but I still loved it. Just the oddball of the Mario games.

I mean hey, look at Link's Adventure (Zelda II).

I can't see why you think SMB2USA really sucks comparing to the orginal Doki Doki Panic for Famicom. The Animation in the original Japanese Game is really bad.

Check this site here

Personally, Super Mario Advance has much better features than the orginal versions.
