| So since we've already ventured into the holiday season, anyone got anything special planned?
My sordid schemes: It seems like my winter break has been mapped out by other people for me, despite the details being thrown in my lap. Christmas eve'll be spent with my parents as they're hosting the family Christmas party. Sometime in the afternoon on Christmas, driving out to Arizona with Brandon (Zoso) and his brother for belated Christmas celebration with their mother and the rest of their family out there. While in Arizona we'll probably head down to Tombstone or something to check out the OK Corral and other things down that way. Will probably also go back to the Heart Attack Grill some time there. Then after driving back from there, spending New Year's eve at a friend's house and then driving New Year's day up to San Jose with Lee (Zabuza/BREW Ninja) and Brandon, hanging out in San Francisco, and flying back January 6. I resume classes January 15. So what are you doing? |

| So I'm in Arizona right now. Spent yesterday at Rawhide Wild West town and will be heading down to Tombstone tomorrow.
Today's seriously going to be Christmas II around here since Brandon's aunt is coming into town and she insisted that Christmas be put off until she gets here. There's a voice message from me in the Voices of Xeogaming thread here: http://board.xeogaming.net/thread.php?pid=121477&r=1#121477 On our way down to Tombstone we're passing through Tucson and Brandon and I are thinking about renting some machine guns and shooting up some blocks of ice in the desert. Yep, we're just that festive around here. |

| Hey all, just checking in from San Jose (northern California for some not familiar with the city). It's not as cold here, but we haven't gotten out much yet so we'll see.
Sad news to report about Phoenix--the Heart Attack Grill is no more. Went in the day before New Year's eve to find the signs and menus removed and the nurse-theme completely changed to whatever sexy outfits the girls could find on short notice. The food tastes relatively the same, but apparently because of business issues Dr. Jon was having the whole nurse/doctor thing has been toe-tagged for good. Anyway, we'll be here in NorCal until Sunday. Internet usage is spotty here so go ahead and count me inactive until then. Sorry, folks. |

I actually appreciate structured time with family (Yes, we manage to have everything flow very nicely during Christmas, usually, with people coming from where ever they are, and my ginormous immediate family being good.) But this year, I had to cut everything short, because I was either heading off to work, or just coming in from work. I really don't want to grow up. 
New Year's was fun. I think I already posted about this in another thread though. Didn't really go out, I just stayed close to home really. Not much of a partier. All in all though, I can't complain. Having the whole college thing, the whole month off between semesters, is nice. Now that the holidays have wound down a bit, I still have ALL next week that I don't have to worry about school.  So days off will be "days off" and now "zomg, I have class. Zomg, and homework."

| Good grief, we're finally home. These past two weeks have been nuts (extremely fun, but nuts nonetheless).
As I said in other places, Brandon and I are all too happy to return to a mattress you don't have to inflate. Classes starting in a week. I'm actually quite nervous. (Last edited by Rogue on 01-06-08 11:11 PM) |
