Hmn... there are a few... but I suppose I will go with Tabby and her insanely high standards.

Don't get me wrong, I love my friend, but she is ridiculously judgmental. She's got it into her head that only a guy that is on par with bishi men in the anime she watches is good enough for her, and she won't give any half decent guy a chance. That and she is really mean to my friend Kaleb. Granted, they apparently dated for a short while years ago... but she treats him like garbage and it bugs me. He doesn't really give a shit anymore... but it is like watching a vicious sibling rivalry. I mean, it is pretty bad when even Ben is appalled by what she says.

This is largely tied into a debate that I am having with friends right now, but what is your favorite type of champagne?

For the most part, I rarely like champagne. It's usually more bitter than sweet to me. Maybe people are just giving me shit brands? I dunno. I will say, though, that I vastly prefer drinking things like Stella Rosa (as cheap as it comes off) because it actually tastes good.

But then Barefoot actually has a bubbly I kinda like as well.

Haha, a Korbel ad just came on.

It was kinda hard to avoid that in a studio apartment. They were kinda curious the first time... attacking the sheet and stuff... but they got bored with it after awhile. Gave us a good laugh in the meantime.

How good are your pets with visitors? Are they skittish, friendly, ambivalent?

Miko runs and will be out of sight 'til the guests leave. If I happen to be holding her when Bernie enters the house, she just senses it and claws into me to get away. Miko never claws people, but it's only when Bernie's coming over that she's so desperate to get away.

Tiki will probably be napping somewhere and might eventually come out when she realizes the guests are there for more than an hour or so. She might let them pet her, but mostly she's just interested in hanging out on the roof or in the second story windows.

Once or twice, but I think I've moved beyond that phase. With all the insanity in the world, I don't think I'd want to live longer to watch it all implode. I think a lycanthrope would be far more exciting.

There are a few things.

The smell of the cold air from a moldy air conditioner makes me think of Comic-Con during the good years, since we used to stay in complete dive motels closer to the Mexican border.

Hmm.. my mind's gone blank. Probably need to get hit with the smell to remember what makes me feel one way or another.

Wendy's.

Originally my favorite... and I simply had too much to the point that I'm completely disgusted and over it, for life probably (it's been like 5 years or longer at this point).

But I still can't pass up those frosties...

Waffle fries or spicy fries?

Between those two spicy fries, though Carl's Jr's crisscut (waffle, essentially) fries ARE seasoned "spicy" fries.

Now I want crisscut fries.

Yes, I went to my senior prom... and the prom after mine since my friend needed a date. Both were quite fun, but I am really not the school dance type.

It's gotta be in the 30s, I'd think. Living in SoCal, I don't have any really thick jackets. I'll wear layers under my wool coat, if necessary. I was fine in Washington on cold days, but then I haven't experienced their winter. I didn't need much for enduring the cold and snow in Texas.

Still, a few years back when I was wandering around San Francisco alone, I ended up having to buy one of those touristy fleece jackets down at the Wharf because the thin hoodie I was wearing just wasn't enough and it was cycling between warm and freezing. It probably wasn't even getting lower than 50 and it was late May.

Have you ever been around people from another area that went, "Man, it's hot outside!" (or cold) and felt perfectly comfortable?

(That was Brandon's sister while we were up for another wedding in WA, walking out into breezy 65 degree weather. Kept complaining it was so hot).

Pretty often, maybe because KS is the center and everyone has strange reactions to it. People from Texas or something think it's freezing in the 50's, and then people from far up north think they're tough when they're not cold until it's below freezing or something. But then people from Texas or wherever else it gets really hot always note how bad the muggy humidity is in KS which sometimes makes it worse than states technically hotter.

I don't have my hair professionally cut that often, but YES it's awkward whenever anyone has you in a chair and wants to talk. It's always particularly worst when it's my dentist. I hate those conversations where they've got their hands in your mouth and are asking you questions, expecting garbled answers.

What's the last thing that made you laugh for more than a couple consecutive minutes? Like the joke or whatever has already long past and you're still laughing, and then you think about it again and you lose your mind laughing all over again?

Telling Brandon about an interaction I had with a client yesterday. The client, Bryan, is one that has eloped (tried to run away from us) in the past, and sometimes with the intent to kill himself by running into traffic after declaring he hates his life. The going story with his home-life is his parents are rich, controlling, and make him do things he doesn't want to do.

Anyway, he's usually not all that talkative and yesterday he was while he was with me. What made me and my coworker/friend laugh so hard about was that Bryan walked up and goes, "I saw a movie this weekend." We asked him what he saw and initially said, "Toy."

"Toy?" we asked. "Like the Robin Williams movie?"

"No.. uh... Toy Story," he amended.

"Oh, yeah, that's cool," we answer, trying to show that we're taking interest in what he's saying.

"I fucking HATE THAT MOVIE!!!!" he suddenly declares, quietly on the first two words and then almost a shout on the last three.

Mike and I are busting up, but for some reason I laughed so much harder and longer retelling it and the other things he said to Brandon.

Heh... it is really hard to find a place like that out here in the land of nothing and rednecks.

Um... aside from work and home, I would say my friend Kaleb's house I guess. Last year it was because I was helping him clean, now it's because we are gym buddies and it's just easier to hang out at his place between gym and work than driving all the way home.

How do you deal with friends/family members that come out on the opposite side of a major issue than your own?

I simply don't even broach the topic. I don't really care to argue religion or politics with anyone, especially since they are RARELY going to change their beliefs no matter what evidence I provide. There are much more entertaining and positive things I can focus on than bringing up a sore subject and then fighting about it.

Nope. Combined, I've maybe spoken to my three exes a handful of times since our break-ups. I'm not even Facebook friends with any of them. Nelson, the one I dated the longest of the three, is the only one who's reached out at all. The last time we've spoken was six years or so ago when he wanted to let me now his father had passed away. Before that he'd called a couple times to say hi and inevitably ask, "Are you still with what's-his-name?" referring to Brandon.

I suppose the ironic thing, though, is that Bran asked me dating advice before we got together.

Because that was the color option my mother in law chose for the walls (ah, modular housing....). At least it isn't yellow.
