I decided to conduct a little experiment today in a public place.

I printed out a capture of this particular bumper sticker: Bin Laden 'Yes on 8' and attached it with tape to the rear bumper of my car. I then drove to Target to browse for nothing in particular.

After about half-an-hour, I returned to find only the tape with a few scraps of the paper left behind, and a "Go Home Fag" message scrawled into the dust on my rear window.

Anyway, if this is going to be the response, I'd rather not endanger the safety of myself and my car around close-minded folk by placing things on my car. My window on the second floor of our apartment, that's okay.

Albeit, the "sticker" was a bit offensive, but I chose it for that purpose specifically. Granted, I'm happy that whomever did it didn't stick around until I returned to my car. Not that I'd walk near my car if anyone were around it. Maybe set off the panic button thing. Call police. Other things.

It smells like charcoal outside, so I'm off to make something to eat that won't be too harmful to my cholesterol level. On a side note, animating myself is hard. And, the minivan back window has been washed, and the tape removed. Now, it just needs to be washed again for the layer of pollen and select blotches of bird poo. OOH!! A SQUIRREL!! HAHAHA.

Damn, that was nice. It's funny to experiment with stuff like that. You could have had somebody else in on the "test" and have him/her standby some distance away with a camera. That was a pretty ballsy thing to do, though, Stitch. You should be lucky that you didn't have to post about something other than somebody finger-writing in dust.

Good grief.

Well, I agree that the bumper sticker pulls a red herring argument for its point, but it's still your freedom of speech to put it on YOUR car.

This seriously doesn't surprise me, though, as there's been a rise in Prop 8 sign destruction on both sides.

I go to school in Orange County, which has a tendency to drift right (since the O.C. is filled with wealthy WASPs whom those who've been born to wealth often call "new money"), we're constantly hearing stories about those flimsy, plastic "YES on Prop 8" signs getting cut up and graffitied on. This guy built a small structure to house his.

To be honest, I've wanted to destroy the three YES signs in my neighborhood, especially with how two of them are technically on city property, but again, it's their freedom of speech to put it up as much as I disagree.

I want to put up something like "Fuck bigotry, Vote NO" or something like that in my room windows (second story, face the street). What'd really be funny is for the first time the lesbian next door would probably not complain about something I have or did.

We're on second floor facing the street, so my "No on 8" signs are there. And the last comic and the next comic animation are of the "No on 8" variety.

Ben wants to go "Yes" sign vandalizing, but another friend told me that doing that just ends up helping their campaign because they'll just buy another sign. I figure it's better to keep doing the "No on 8" as much as possible.

And, it's quite annoying that for a place like gay haven San Francisco Bay Area, I still have to live with the possibility of idiocy all around.

Very ballsy indeed, Stitch. I will be so happy when this election is over so I don't have to hear that Yes on 8 bullshit anymore. Honestly it makes me sick.
