I'm trying to nail down the academic principal for one of the schools in Alexandria, VA for an interview... it was supposed to be on Friday but shit keeps coming up. My first day would be the 24th so I would kinda like to get this shit rolling to find out if I have to uproot myself at the last minute or not. |

Weirdest interview ever... hanging out with a guy who looked my age or younger, interviewing with him and his boss over a smartphone on speaker... huh. Probably going to be a major paycut but I'm not interested in money now after all the corporate crap I've done. They were a little concerned about my background going into a job like this, since I guess they were impressed with my resume and it looked a little prestigious (oh please) or something, but they joked they're not corporate at all. Which is what I want! Mom and pop videogame store. I'll be traveling between two locations, but that should be interesting. Not sure what my hours and pay even are yet, but I guess I'll find out. Currently I just needed anything, so this will work for now. Looking forward to it, could be a unique learning experience to say the least. |

I think it was under the table... I have no idea, but the two days I put in, I never signed any official documents or anything. I told them to not even worry about paying me. Really shady customers and the trade in system was wacky. I guess I'm not really up for running a business either. So I didn't like game design and probably don't like selling them... I'll just stick to playing them! May have an interview this week with Whole Foods though and I hear great things. Would probably be much better and from what I understand they start off in a range I'm more comfortable with and actually follow through on their raises. The one I'm pulling for just opened this year too. So new buildings are awesome. I have a friend there and have been in touch with one of the mangers. Hope this is it! |

And is it sad that I actually had a moment of excitement because I knew what Hyvee is? In other news for the non-Facebook friends... so I didn't get the teaching job, but I did get the full time wireless position. So far, it just means I get more hours and hopefully dental insurance. I was basically already doing the job. |

| If is just dental insurance, then not really... I will still be at a net gain. I think paying for dental for both me and Ben will be like $18 per check.
Now, if they force me to give up my health insurance through the state, then yeah, I will be taking a hit. I am really hoping that won't happen though, because the Walmart health insurance options are horrible! My HR person said she was pretty sure that I should be safe though. |

Congrats on the job upgrade, Elara! That's some cheap dental insurance. I opted out of getting it, but I'm paying $50 a check for health insurance just for me and $10/month on optical, which is doing jackshit for me. |

| Yeah, vision and dental are not bad through Walmart insurance, which is kinda shocking. I have vision through my normal health insurance, but the optical department at work can't take it so that sucks... but I can find a place that does, or I can add it on for $5.52 for both of us (not that Ben needs it).
But yeah... back to the actual topic, lol... So my latest spout of busy, beyond work (shoot me) has been playing the last two DLCs for Dragon Age Inquisition. I am about done with Descent and about to start Trespasser.  |

| I didn't like Hyvee. I'm a mess haha. It was a lot more warehouse than I wanted. The training was pretty bad too though, didn't really any structure... I didn't even get to know my department much. Granted, I only gave it about two weeks. lol...
But I got an offer at Best Buy and Starbucks, and have an interview with another pharmacy job tomorrow. I'll probably lean towards that if it's full time. | Looks like I'm heading out to Arizona later this month to cook Thanksgiving dinner for Brandon's family since his grandma broke her arm in two places. I'm actually really excited about this as it means I won't have to work Loscon. Still have to put together the program, but I won't have to fucking be there! Woohoo! |
