| I'm back from Comic-Con. It's been pretty sweet 5 days of comics and other crazy stuff. Interviewed the Mythbusters, watched 9 minutes of the upcoming "Return of the Jedi" episode of "Family Guy," among other things.
In the meantime, I've been contributing to my friends geek reporting website. I dig it. |

| I get my diploma sometime this week, and then I have a lot of shit to set up for college. Stoked? Barely.
On one hand, it's awesome. On the other, It's school. Oh well. Otherwise, I've been writing a lot more now that I have the free time to do so. I'm thinking about learning to bartend so I can pay for college, as well. I need as much money as I can get. I'm going to the community college, but transferring to Fox for business. I'm strongly leaning towards being an accountant. But my girlfriend and I plan on moving up closer to the campus so that she can transport all of her art to and from school. It's a year away, but we've already been looking up apartments and saving. I need to invest in a car, first, but everything is looking okay so far. God, I feel like an adult. It's a good thing. |

| I just became super excited realizing that the concept of steampunk was created at my university. I'm off to find one of its fathers, who also wrote a book which is going to be the story for the next "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie.

| I've been helping some friends get their geek news site off the ground lately.
Here's audio footage of me asking the MythBusters if they would ever do a steampunk episode: Link! Last month was full of conventions and random parties and wandering. I think the Comic-Con hangover is finally ebbing. Otherwise, I've still got a couple weeks until school starts up again. 15 units. Since I'm not constantly writing for the paper this semester, I shouldn't be as stressed or busy. Got a couple night courses, though. And feature writing will also take up some time, I'm sure. |

| I'm pulling double shifts like crazy in order to achive my goal of building my gaming rig. But September is going to really stress me out. Not only do I have to continue to pull double shifts, but I also have Shriner parades to go to as well as going to my lodge to help out with EA and FC degrees for the newcomers.
Can't wait till November so I can finally take a break. |

| I have to call financial aid on Tuesday to see if I can go to college this semester or not. Even if that comes through, I need to harass my former senior principle because she still hasn't sent in my transcript, which I need if I want to attend college.

| Well, school's back in session. I've got 15 units (5 classes), 24 textbooks, and NO SCHOOL TODAY! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
I've mentioned it in a few threads, but I'm working on interviewing two of the three creators of steampunk (I was able to contact another one!) and they all went to my university. The prime one I'll be interviewing will be authored "On Stranger Tides" which was optioned for the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. I'm freelancing a bit for the paper this semester. Thankfully, I've got several affairs worked out when it comes to getting to graduate next semester. This weekend's been pretty righteous, especially since I don't have classes on Fridays and we've got today off. Went to the international street fair in the OC, went to the Greek Orthodox festival in the LBC, and heading out to the county fair right now. The boyfriend person also performed for charity on Saturday, at Metal Jam. Brandon's the guitarist on the right, in the black Metallica "Ride the Lightning" shirt. Yeah, I have been busy. I'm working two jobs and I'm still not used to it. These past couple days have been horrid, and I am more than exhausted. Hey, I'm making money, but I feel like I'm selling my soul to do so. Hopefully I get accustomed to this schedule soon or I'm going to have a heart attack. My chest has been hurting a lot more since I started all of this crap. |

**dies** It's only been two full weeks of school, and I'm fully prepared for a break already. I'm gunning for perfect attendance, because that means that every lowest grade will be dropped, and art school is difficult.  Mostly in the sense that there's nothing to study for, per se. I have to hope that I can read minds. Following directions doesn't always work. So...gotta hope my work always impresses, cuz I want that damn president's list, damn it! I'm gunning for scholarships and job opportunities BIG time, so I need to get the most I can out of this place. I'll be there for the next 4 years though, so hopefully I'll impress SOMEONE by then and land a decent job. XD Otherwise, been running on low, worked 40 hours last week and STILL went to school every day. School is 9-3 Mon-Fri, btw. Pulled three all-nighters already, but I have nothing lower than a B+ thus far, so it's paying off. This week I'm back to only working 20 hours, so this week was just weird. I suddenly had free time, and it freaked me out. My mind like couldn't handle it. 
But yeah...my first three day weekend is coming up.  Monday, Oct 11th I'm off, so that'll be awesome. (Yes, I have my days off memorized. XD ) But yah...mostly been comsumed with school, the family, and work. Before I had to take my leave of absence last time, I wasn't very competitive, and very lazy with the work. I only did the bare minumum. But, fuck that, that top of the class spot is mine now. XD (Took me a year and a half to realize HOW competitive my field is, and yes, one can be competitive without being a complete jerk, so that's my goal as well. But yah, jobs are scarce as it is, so being an illustrator and graphic designer is going to be tough finding something.) |
