| I saw the preview for this the other day at the movies. I have to admit, I'm definitely curious. It seems to ridiculous, but at least it is not another remake (that I know of) or a sequel. Though, I have to admit, the visual sound effect made me rather happy! I look forward for when it comes out. | |||

| I never saw the live action DBZ movie, but I thought it looked really dumb. I like how they incorporated videogames aspects into this, though. Live action awesome. And plus, they have lightsabers. | |||

| It's graphic novel made to look like a manga. It's roughly Dawson's Creek meets Final Fantasy. It's like a teen (well, they're in their 20s) romantic drama, then suddenly there's epic video game-like battles. You'll see. | |||

| The books are good.
It's an interesting year for comic book movies, along with Scott Pilgrim, there's "Kick-Ass" which had it's script written before the books that it's based on came out. They seriously penned the script with one issue to go off of for that one. Scott Pilgrim isn't done either. Really, saying that Scott Pilgrim is like "Dawson's Creek" meets "Final Fantasy" is just my comparison I give to people who aren't too familiar with comics and such. I'd more accurately say it's like "Furi Kuri" and "Hopeless Savages" had a lovechild. |

| I kinda like the first trailer they put out for it, because it actually captures the first book. It's this whole budding romance story (after he virtually cheats on then dumps the girl he was with when he met Ramona), suddenly you get this crazy fight scene.
I'm also totally digging the video game they're putting out. Link. Especially since it's done by the same guy who did the animation Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight (see: the avatar under my name). |

| In truth the second trailer (the one you posted) is the better one, but like I said, they captured the essence of the first book.
Really if they combined the two, going from the lovey dovey stuff to him saying his band isn't very good, with Matthew Patel then breaking through the roof to beat the shit out of Scott, it'd be PERFECT. |
