So I've come to the realization that I check maybe 5 (maybe even just 3) different sites a day and only venture to other sites once in a while.

Anyone else doing this?

I used to go to like 20 blogs a day, now since the advent of Facebook I check them through their fan pages if at all.

Anyway, what sites did you used to visit back in the day?

I think I used to almost religiously check sites like LiveJournal up until recently, and when I was younger I think I checked sites like Rotten.com and SteakandCheese.com almost everyday.

I dunno, anyone else?

I bounce between here and probably only 5 other sites all day, when it used to be at least 15-20... huh, wonder what happened?

I've seriously just been bouncing between the board, my e-mail, and Facebook (and sometimes YouTube) for probably the last year.

I mean, I check things like Yelp, where I'll occasionally write reviews, and look at College Humor once in a while or other sites people link off of.

A friend of mine describes surfing the internet as like going to the video rental place, thousands of movie titles in your mind of things you've been wanting to see, and once you walk in the door you completely forget everything and are just doing the slow sidestep along the new releases wall, until you finally decide on just getting Army of Darkness because you remember a friend of yours hadn't seen it yet and you get home and slap yourself remembering that you ALREADY own a copy of Army of Daarkness.

Yeah, it's pretty long-winded, but it's really accurate. There's millions of things you can be utilizing the internet to look up and here you are staring at Facebook for the fourth hour in a row or watching the same set of YouTube videos you watch from time to time.

Every Acmlm Board in the universe.

They're all dead so I just stick to here now, lol. Although there's still a few up, now I'm too lazy or don't see the point.

Used to go to Kotaku all the time until they changed their layout a few months ago. It made my monitor vomit all over my face, so I removed it from my quick bookmarks and never go there anymore. If you get removed from my quick bookmarks, it's game over!

FB is probably next.

Bolt.com, Neopets, GaiaOnline, Runescape...

I'm the type that sticks to one or two sites at a time. Once I decide I like something, I stick with it.

Lately, I've actually been having several tabs open at once. Yahoo webmessenger for texting, Google+, Facebook, ImmortalNight, and MyYearbook.

And randomly google for necessary searches. Like lyrics to Viking metal songs and then translations of said songs. Apparently, there was a viking named Jeff, according to GoogleTranslate.

This and facebook are all I ever really come on for anymore. And with facebook having some sort of technological seizure, I'm more than likely done with it.

Other than that, not really. I check my blog every so often, but it's hard to get followers when I'm terrible at updating. *shrug* But I was new to the internet until shortly before I joined our lovely community here.

Before I got Fios, dial up was not worth going through. So I would play a Teen Titan game on the Cartoon Network website while I was in middle school, but that's it.

I used to go on a variety of websites, other boards and games and such (neopets included), Now it's pretty much here, Vizzed, Facebook, Google+, and the Pathfinder Chronicler forums because of my short story work.

... Oh yeah, hey guys, I might get published. No pay, but published!

Go, you! What's getting published? Don't worry about the pay, you just need to get your name out there.

Not all of them!

Other than boards that died and games I quit, though, I can't really think of any. The overwhelming majority of my bookmarks are things I bookmarked for a single future use (example: individual computer parts on Newegg), used, and never cleared out. Or they're individual Youtube videos. Or quick reference pages (name generators for RP/story characters, Fallout wiki, etc)

It's a couple of short stories I wrote for a fiction contest set in the Pathfinder RPG world of Golarion. I didn't win, but all of the stories can still be published in the Pathfinder Anthology vol 2. Currently both stories are under editing, and if I can get them good enough they will get in. The main editor seems really committed to getting my second one in there at the very least. I came in on the second round of the contest as an alternate and churned out a story in ten days when the others had a month... he called me a godsend for that and for my jumping in on the forums to help edit.
