Bioware has given October 7, 2014 as the official release date for the third Dragon Age game.
So far, I have to say that the trailers have me interested enough that I preordered the Deluxe edition of the game for PC (it was only $10 more for DLC stuff and the soundtrack, so why the hell not?). I am SO happy that I can make a Dalish elf again, for they are so superior to boring old humans. No bias. Nope, none at all. That being said, I am actually making second play-throughs of the first two games. I have never done that before. Ever. Once I know the story, I am kinda done... but there are some minor permutations and dialogue options that I wanted to take just to see how they turn out. Probably just going to import my original set of saves though. That being said, anyone else planning on getting this? What are your thoughts on the stuff they have released thus far? So I know most of our Inquisition discussions have been in the Games Beaten section but I figured I would post this stuff here
DLCs Bioware has just announced the final major DLC for Inquisition at PAX and it looks AMAZING Also some of the free updates are a long time coming, like the wardrobe in Skyhold and the Golden Nug that lets you bring your rare schematics and such across to new save games. I think that is awesome. So the official big three DLCs are as follows Jaws of Hakkon - Avvar culture explored, cool new large area to check out. Bear puns. The Decent - Dungeon crawl in the Deep Roads. Two new characters and more cut scenes. Trespasser - An epilogue for Inquisition. Eluvians, Qunari, and getting some fucking answers! |

Do these DLC's scale with your levels or whatever? I wonder if I can load up my beaten game and continue on with them from there. I was also not able to take down a final dragon or two, so I should get back to it sometime.
I'll probably wait for a nice sale on the whole package or something, but yeah I imagine this is a rare case with DLC that's actually worth the price. |

Trespasser requires you to have beaten the game before it will let you load it. I did JoH after I beat the game the first time and everything was level 23-24. I haven't gone there in the new game yet so I will have to check if it scales. I haven't bought the Descent yet, so I am not sure what level it is.
Hopefully they do some kind of bundle at some point. I got JoH on sale so it was only $12 instead of $15. It would be nice to get the others for less as well. |
