They are both more expensive and less powerful than a comparable Athlon XP/64. Get one of those, get better performance, and save some money. Don't be fooled by their lower clock speeds. They use much more efficient architecture that intels and don't need as high of clock speed to have the same performance. Also, don't be fooled whn people say that intel chips are more "stable". I have used both Intel and AMD processors and neither have had stability issues. I use an Athlon 64 3200 (socket 754, 512k, 130nm) and have had no problems. |
