Wow. I've never thought about something like that before. I would have to say, know everything about. I mean you do not want to love a person who you know can cheat on you. Also you do not want to have sex with a person if he or she has a sexual transmitted disease. So knowing everything about them in my opinion would be the best thing  |

Loving them, easily. Love is, simplified massively, an emotion. Emotions are not often influenced by knowledge. But, on a less cold and rational note, there are many things that people in love with each other just don't know about the other. They might not know about their past, their plans for the future, their favorite food... well, you did say everything. |

| Honestly, I say it should be love. Afterall, what good is knowing all about someone who you don't love? Just an example of extremes. You could reverse that.
It really needs to be a balance I guess. As most things in life are. I know for myself, love is always the most important, but I like to know all I can as well. But the love is here now, and it's not going away, and I've got a lifetime to learn everything else. I'd rather have a life of love, and learn the rest as we go, than to learn everything, then have love build later. Love is the most important thing there is, and though few know me, those who do know that I have a lot of values on things, and when I say love is the most important, I'm not just spouting off light hearted crap that you hear from everyone all the time. I'm serious. Love is all that matters. |

I don't know, it depends really. It would be nice to know the person before you learn to love them but also love can come before you know the person and while your in love you get to know that person more and more each day but then you do the other way too ... if that made sense  |

| Well i'm learning right now that it's love that comes first. It's just scary to be that sure that you love someone and not know abosolutly everything about them. I guess that just takes time but I do know that I love this person more more as I learn everything about them. | |||

You can love a person without knowing all that much about them really. And you can know everything about a person without being in love with them. So neither comes first really. They sort of go hand in hand and at the same time they can never connect at all. |

| I agree with both of you. My original question was really whether or not you can be in love with someone without knowing a great deal about them. So far, I think it's possible. What I'm learning is that there isn't an orthodox way to fall in love it just ..happens. Sometimes even when you don't want it to. | |||

| I think what lots of people consider to be love, is not really love. More lust then love. I don't know exactly, it's fairly difficult to explain.
That said, I still think that you can love someone without actually knowing them one hundred percent. |

| well im not disagreeing black lord but no one can really tell what love is, to put it simply love is a word best use to describe and undescribable feeling. I'd say at her age Lord's interpretation would be the reason why.
I personally think you love before you know someone, if you know someone you try to work the kinks out in them and thats not love its a passion for perfection, loves being to love someone whom you would like to change but love them anyway. |

Actually you can fall in love without even knowing that person. I remember the cases of Sigurd + Dierdre in Genealogy of the Holy War... Let just say they got married too fast... 
To the question itself, I prefer to love one person instead to know them. Love have a strongest feeling and cause you to feel more deeply for that person. Knowing mean to take thing at a steady pace yet I still choose love, not because I want it too fast (believe me), but love can comminuate better and make you feel safe around the people you love. Heck, to love is to know and care a person deeply for them. Sometime, you can get in love without knowing a person because you felt that a strong force or feeling took over and make you feel that way for a certain person. Plus, knowing a person can make it more difficult to understand a person where love can generally express their feeling so easy. Wow... I guess I can describe love a little... But believe me, loving is more powerful then knowing. Sure, it got a little rough edge but love can be unexpressable when you hold a feeling and kept it close to your heart. Umm... am I freaking anyone out here? |
