| I'm so happy!!!! Two of my bestest friends just called me a little while ago. The conversation went something like this:
Allen: Hey b*tch. Me: Hey jerk, what do YOU want? (laughing) Allen: So are you ready to be a godmother? Me: (very long pause as it sinks in) Wait.... what? Allen: Yep, Jen is pregnant. Me: OHMIGODOHMIGODOHMIGOD!!! Are you serious?!?!?!?! Allen: Yep. So would you like to be the godmother? Me: ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Of course!!! At that point I started screaming & jumping around my living room LOL Anyhow, there are a few reasons why this is so incredibly exciting for me. 1. I'm an only child. I have a half-sister, but I lost contact with her a LONG time ago. 2. I introduced Allen & Jen. Jen has been my best friend since I was 15 & she was 13 (We are now 26 & 24, respectively.) Allen has been one of my best friends for 8 years now. 3. I was maid of honor in their wedding. 4. My absolute bestest friend Bill is Allen's brother. He is naturally the godfather. I'M SO HAPPY!!! I just had to share before I burst, hehe  |

| In all technical terms, I'm a godmother. But Jen has said many MANY times, including at her wedding, that I'm her older sister & she looks up to me for so much (she actually made me CRY at the wedding!). When I talked to them this morning, she's all "hey Auntie Heather, how are you?" LOL
My maternal instinct took over last night. I'm making a baby hat for her little one  |

| Being a God Parent is interesting. I'm God Father to one of my best friends child. Course I haven't heard from him since he asked me to be the kids God Father. Going to have to track him down and kill him I think if he doesn't send pictures or give me updates or something.
You're going to have a blast being a God Mother, love. I know you well enough to be absolutely sure on that one. |
