Anyhoo, I am in a band that is nameless! In my band, I play bass, write lyrics, co-write the song itself, and tons of more shit. We used to go by the monoker of Freedom Incorporated, but it's too one-dimensional. See, the Lead Vocals/Guitarist wants us to be mainly punk rock, but I want to experiment with the roots (Zeppelin, Beatles, Stones) while also playing punk. The lead gitarist cares less, but wants a name. And i haven't talked to the drummer about it. I would greatly appreciate any band names! THat would be so awesome! P.S  if you want to, I have gotten caught on our latest song and want to trash it. If anyone ever had a dream to hear their song written asnd perfromed, you could send me lyrics and we could eventually send an mp3 file of the song. I have friends who are kickass at video and sound editing!) |

Zoso's band has been kicking around possible names that they'd change to seeing as they feel they can't be Sonic Transducer forever. Right now the name the bass player and lead singer want is "Audio Sodomy."

| No offense finding a good band name is gonna be tough. With some of the names i've seen i think bands that'd perform with those names would get beat up and thrown into a pit and get trampled by people moshing.
As for ideas books and stuff from books are good for names. Gatsby's american dream, The number twelve looks like you, Silverstein, Atreyu, and the list goes on. Random things work too like alexisonfire which is the name of a contortionsist porn star. Also using Phrases and then changing the wordings Like Friends for never (They broke up so yeah go ahead and take that name if you want). Sexual things are horrible for names never use anything remotley related to sex as your band name ex. Anal Cunt. Acts of violence at times are good for names like Posion the Well. Avoid Number band names examples such as sum 41 and blink 182 ( eyah yeah i know i said teh numkebr twelve is a good name but its from a book and not a direct refrence to the number). The is a hard one you must find something good in combination of a word and teh The Locust, The beatles, etc. Avoid Made up words example Metallica. Hmm as for actual names hmm.... Breakdown, Get off our Lawn, From teh Horses Mouth, Beat Up Kids, KKKatashtrophe, and idk really whatever floatsyour boat jsut read my tips and im sure you'll find a good name. (yeah i know some of those sucked oh well) |

| hmmmmmm I like simple names for bands because it's always easy to remember.
P.I.M.P.S , Pwned, Crazy Face, Unspoken Dreams, The Players, Top Speed, The Loners, Mr.Goods, The Sexy Funks. I dunno if your band wants some type of crazy punkish band I think crazy names like that would be rad. |

| Only band name that I ever came up with and liked was Payne... but it sounds more for a metal band... could be used for a punk band.
Venomouslobster would be proud of me for this one that I just thought of though: Kallisti. It's Greek for "to the fairest" and in mythology Eris (Goddess of Discord) wrote this on a golden apple and tossed it into a wedding party where the gods were and it inadvertantly led to the Trojan War. Discord, rebellion, and general violence... if you want true punk, there ya go. |

| wow, The Jims, that tops anything I could ever think of.
I guess I could think of a few of these...(Nonewhat Orderly? Food of the Day? The Lemonhead Addiction Conspiracy?)punk bands can have by far the worst and most interesting names, so anything in this thread is fair game. Sometimes a contradiction in a name is pretty cool, like Universal Speck or Diamond Plush. I'm coming kinda close to starting a ska/progressive band, so I'll look at all of these too. |
