| These are some new methods of internet access that I've just recently heard about. Broadband over Power Lines will basically let anybody with electricity and a computer go online at high speeds. WiMax is a new wirelless standard that supposedly allows for up to a 30 mi. range. That is all I know about these new technologies, and If anybody else knows more, like when they will be available, what their transfer rates will be, pricing, etc., then please tell me. I'm very excited about this since I live out-of-town and have lived with a dial-up connection for all of my life. |
