Wow i was watching the news and oh my god another hurricane is coming. Hurricane Rita a Class 4 (at the monment) is expected to make landfall on the eastern coast of Texas. Hopefully people have finally learned to get out before a hurricane like that hits or will have another New Orleans issue on our hands. Hopefull the goverment will help a little sooner then with the last hurricane if it is that bad.

For the people that read my post about my Ex as you all know she lives in Texas Cty, which is 15 miles from Galveston wich is where Rita is expected to hit dead on. So Im really scared about her out there right now. I was talking to her on th ephone and she said that she is going to have to finish out the school year at a new school and all of her friends are gin to deifferent places. So she isn't going to know anyone. I mean I don't hate her and I still care about her, and this Rita is really scaring me about how its going in to hammer the eastern edge of Texas along the Gulf, its going to be a Category 5 when it hits. When Katrina hit New Orleans it was a Category 3.. look what it did.. Rita is over 2x stronger then Katrina.. it's going to be total destruction. Im asking again for eveyone's suport and to pray for those out ther in Rita's path. its about 730 miles off the coast of Texas expected landfall is Friday evening or early Sat morniing. So everyone lets pray for them, hope for the best, and send them our wishes.... please. Thankyou

I heard a line recently. It said that mother nature has constantly attempted to destroy human kind through plague pestilence and disaster. Which is why the human race has been at war with mother nature ever since it became the human race.
Does anyone else think that's kinda what is or has been going on in recent times? Shit load of tornadoes several months ago, several hurricanes, large scale destruction and chaos. I get's the feeling the planet is pissed at us but that could just be me. |

Don't forget the earthquake in Indonesia... I'm just waiting for the 8.0 to hit California, it's bound to happen soon. Mother Nature is not happy with us.
Seriously though, it's up to Category 4 already? A few days ago I heard it was only just classified a Category 1. Damn! I hope that everyone in the region that Rita hits will be okay. |

I'm not too clear on this, but I think Rita is supposed to go back down to 3 by the time it hits land. Still though...so soon after Katrina? A level 3 is pretty bad...I just hope that those people will be alright. **shrugs** No matter how much science points to something being certain, I still cross my fingers that something will come along last minute to make it not so bad. If that made any sense.

I live one state over in Louisiana ( southcentral part) and from what I believe we won't get off so easy either, if it hits Galveston or western Louisiana we're basically screwed as well. It's a Cat 5 right now with 175 MPH winds, but is expected to weaken just a tad (like it'll make a difference anyway) right before landfall. We're 3 years removed from a strong Cat 2 (came right up our alley, the eye of Lilli missed us by under 20 miles), and with New Orleans evacuees here, I'd hate to see those same people moved yet again.
All I can say is cross your fingers and hope it goes back and visits Fidel Castro instead. |

I mean it went from a Cat 3 to 5 in about 12 hours time, that is unatural for even a Hurricane. It's going to hit them pretty hard, I mean New Orleans was hit bye a Cat 3. I mean thats so mest up whats happening to the Texas coast line. All the towns are going to be completely destroyed.. I eam how would it feel coming back to rumble that was originally your home.. it isn't exactlly something I would like to picture. But alot of people are going to have that happen to them. And about 5 or 6 I know personally live right next to Galveston.. It really hurts to know that people you care about are being targeted for the massive storm..

I heard about this too. My thing is that you'd think that after hurricane Katrina and after the ahead of time notice people would evacuate, and wuick. Even if it is teh category four that they say it is the damage won't be nearly as bad as the last one. We'll just see if there are smart people left in this world. |
