These are based off the Innocence Gone RP in the RP Forum. I may make this a bigger project, I dunno.
The city was asleep. All I could do was wait, alone and filled with anticipation, leaning against the wall of the Antique shop, that was now closed for the night. As I stood there, I pondered about my future with her, the lycanthropan woman who has become my wife, and my thoughts turned to the future I was anticipating. Not your average household with a white picket fence, but of something more; something that I could look forward to, and smile upon in the here and now. As I waited for her, I remained still, with my love for that woman craddled in my arms, enveloped like an owl in the night. Then I saw her come from the old, large building, and she made her way down the steps. As she moved across the street, the lamps on the sidewalk highlighted her long, sliver hair, and shone off her youthful face. I stood, dumbstruck on the opposite side, as her grace and purity came forth from the frigid night. No stores or homes were lit; only the light of the streetlamps burned through the darkness. "I've missed you, Kev," she said, with an emotional happiness in her voice. As we met, I embraced her in my arms, and felt the smoothness of her leather coat against my hands. It was soothing to me, as all my worries evaporated, like our breath in the December air. "Let's go home," I whispered in her ear, as a rouge teardrop ran down my face, and found its way to her cheek. Walking down the sidewalk, hand in hand, I know I will remember this moment until the moment of my death; it was the only moment where I have felt total, and complete peace. My soul is resting, I thought to myself. "Francine, I'll never stop loving you." The snow began to fall, like frozen teardrops from angels in heaven. They kissed our cheeks, daintily, as we walked together into our future, for however many years it may last. Number 2 (Christie is a fictional character devised by me. She's in the concept art thread) The dank, dimmly lit halls of the mechanical hallways of the Government facility were ones not to be traveled lightly. It is advisable to always be on your guard when in there. Pipes and wires lined the hallways and the cramped, seven foot ceiling. It made an odd humming noise as we walked, which gave the insinuation that there was a surplus of electrical energy within these walls. "We need to stick together, Christie. No more going gung-ho on me anymore." After her last outburst in the main lobby, it's a surprise the whole facility doesn't know we're here, I thought. "Kevin, lighten up. No one's in here!" As she made her declaration, a beam of light shone our way. It was the light of a flash light, which shone in our eyes. It lit up the pipes, and power cables in the hall, and a voice called out from the darkness: "Who's there! Show yourself!" "Shit!" I cursed at my self; I couldn't get out of the way in time, as my partner decided to take matters into her own hands. Immediately, Christie took out her rifle, and fired shots into the beam of light, but I heard no splatters of ones blood. The enemy's flashlight was dropped, with the sound of plastic reflecting off the metallic floor platings. I realized what had happened, though, and it was too late. "Christie! Get down!" I shouted, but he was already on top of her. The Government operative was dressed in black armor, a skullcap, and sunglasses, which enhanced dark areas, instead of intesifying them. The gritty man held up a shotgun to my partners face, and I acted as fast as I could. I got to my feet, and shot the guard in the chest, but as he fell, the shotgun discharged. After the deafaning roar, I could only hear a bloodcurdling scream, as I looked toward Christie, and saw what had happened... The shine of the flashlight was in the perfect position to see the extent of the damage. Her left arm was all the way on the oter side of the room. Christie writhed in pain, as she struggled to make heads or tails of what happened. Her arm and shoulder was gone, and exposed flesh, muscle and bone only remained where her shoulder used to be. "Hang on! Just hang on!" I got over to her, and took out my first aid kit in my belt. "I'm ging to have to stop the bleeding! Hold still!" Christe just laid on the floor, sprawled out in agony, as I bent over, and began to cortorize the exposed veins. It wasn't an easy process in low light. After the searing was finished, I began to wrap her shoulder area with gauze, to keep infections out. I cut it, and tied it, to make sure that it wouldn't come loose. "Can you stand? We have to get out of here!" Chritie stood slowly, with a pained look on her face. "Call Keira for evac, or reinforcements, or something; anything!" Her expression was pleading for me to do more, but I couldn't. I could only now stare back at my partner's eyes. They were crying; crying for a way out. A way to escape the madness. I could tell, for the first time ever, that she did not want to die... "You'll be fine, Christie. I won't lose you, like I lost my brother. You'll be ok. I promise." She smiled, a sign of trust, and a sign of relative sanity for once. "Aw, shucks, Kevin. I can always count on you, big guy." (Not sure how to end that last one ) (Last edited by Clockworkz on 11-08-05 11:01 AM) |
