| Dun dun dun....
In the right corner, Serge! Serge is the silent protagonist of the RPG Chrono Cross. He is a youth from Arni Village, a small fishing town on the south part of the El Nido Archipelago's central island. Ten years before the events of Chrono Cross, Serge's father mysteriously disappeared. Serge also had an unfortunate incident in which he nearly drowned. One day, when searching for Komodo Dragon scales for his friend Leena, Serge is drawn into Another World. At first, this alternate dimension is very similar to Serge's own world. However, when returning to Arni Village, Serge discovers that the only Serge that ever lived there drowned ten years ago. In the 'Another World', Serge was drowned by Lynx in the year 1010 A.D. at the age of seven. The Home World was just created as a result of Kid traveling back in time after the events of Chrono Cross to save Serge from Lynx. Prior to this event, both the Serge of the Home and Another dimensions, was attacked by a panther demon. Eek! To save his son, Serge's father, attempted to sail to Marbule to find a cure for the panther's poison. He and Miguel set out during a storm of all times and ended up in the Sea of Eden and entered Chronopolis. Serge was exposed to the Frozen Flame there, and was healed. The stom passed, and Serge was listed as an "Arbiter", the highest security level of Chronopolis. He was the only lifeform able to access the flame, hindering Fate's ability to control El Nido. In the left corner, Luigi! Luigi is the taller, slimmer, younger brother of Mario. He has superior jumping ability than Mario (although not depicted in older Mario games excluding the American version of Super Mario Bros. 2), and throws Green Fireballs when using a Fire Flower, rather than red. In Mario and Luigi, Luigi is seen with the power of Lightning attacks, while Mario uses fire. Luigi has appeared as the Controllable charactor for player two in Mario Bros, all the way up to Super Mario World. Since then, it has not been the case. Luigi is seen as either more cowardly than Mario, or it is just he is more cautious. Fans take their pick. He has appeared as an NPC in Mario RPG and Paper Mario (both?). In The Thousand Year Door, Luigi can be seen in the central city, recalling events from his own adventure, which is strikingly familiar to the one you go through in the game. Luigi is usually in Marios shadow, Mario being Nintendos mascot, but Luigi has earned his own fanbase. |

| Man. I gotta say Luigi, only because I've never played Chrono Cross. Sorry, its a bit of a closeminded vote, but weh. He's got a vaccuum (good for sucking up Alucard in dust-form? My, things are already beginning to feel nostalgic...)

| How dare, how dare both of you?! Serge would wipe Luigi's blood off his sword in seconds!
In combat, Luigi dies in one hit!!! Serge is quite possibly stronger than Cloud! He uses a deadly double-bladed sword and has the coolest allies anyone could hope for. One of them has the ability to transport his wand INSIDE an enemy and rip it out. Luigi jumps. SERGE KILLED FATE!!! GRRARR!! |
