I dont know why, But I feel that somewhere this was posted not to long ago...

:: Shrugs :: I looked around a bit and couldent find one....but meh

Anyways, what is your favorite movie? And Why?

I have several...

1: The Robocop Series: -- When I was a kid, I really liked reading the comics...The movies just intrigued me greatly

2: The Neverending Story Series: -- Whats NOT to like about the series? Except for the 4th one ( WHich in my opinion was kinda terriable...) This movie was teh awesome!

Spoiler:
I cried when the horse died on the first one. And I remember I used to get scared at the Turtle...When Atreyu first met the Turtle that is...

3: The Lambrynth: -- Oh my God, David Bowie rocked this movie...I love his singing!

4: Lawnmowerman: -- I remember watching this movie alot as well as Robocop...I like the fact that the movie made to where the characters learned things through Virtural Reality...Jobe was a retard in the Second one....>.< ;;;

5: Super Mario Brothers: -- What can I say? This movie was awesome in general!

So as you can tell, my favorite movies are classics, and I have alot of likings to classic movies....

1) Anon. Rex: This was actually a SciFi flick, but to me, it was actually good. Mainly because it was based on a book... I think it's SciFi's best movie and certainly the most weirdest.

2) The Matrix Trilogy: I was the only one in the entire fucking town who even actually understood it.

3) First Blood: Stalone's best.

here r mine (in no particular order):
1) Eraserhead (David Lynch's first film. even though it is in black in white it still is filled with pure Lynch creativity.)

2) Reservoir Dogs (this is Tarentino at his best. it truly paved the way for his other films.)

3) Donnie Darko (this is the movie that made me want to be a director.)

4) The Machinist (Kafka would be proud. a film in the finest sense of its craft.)

these r all i can think of right now.

Oh Jeez... I have TOO many favorites. I'm almost certain I'll keep coming around to update my list.

Well, in no particular order:

- Battle Royale (Come on, what could be more fun than 40 kids forced to kill each other as part of a fucked-up program a corrupt government put together to stick it to youngsters everywhere? A lot of people like this movie for the wrong reasons saying it's deep, dark and provacative. I just like it for its camp value. A girl, as she lays dying, looks up at the boy she's been in love with forever and in her last, faltering breath utters, "You look really cool.." HIIIIIO!

Seriously, though, I love everything Battle Royale... even the so-called crappy sequel.
)

- The Big Lebowski (I love this movie. I go to festivals themed after it, I know all of the words to it and quote it along with movie. It's so great to be in a room with a bunch of people who are also into it and saying the lines right along with you.)

- Hedwig and the Angry Inch (This is ABSOLUTELY one of my most treasured films. I keep this one close to my heart. Screw Rocky Horror, give me Hedwig!)

- Cannibal: The Musical! (Along with Hedwig this is my favorite musical. Even though I don't watch it all the time, I still feel really sad inside when someone borrows it. Had the same feeling when someone borrowed Lebowski.)

- Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, Clerks, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Jersey Girl (I'm a HUGE fan of Kevin Smith and his films. Heh, I have several stories about meeting him in person. Though Jersey Girl is my least favorite and not even really among my top favorite films of all time, I still count it as a loyal Kevin fan.)

- Christopher Guest's films: A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, This is Spinal Tap (His mockumentary style is just so spiffy.)

- Stephen Chow's films: Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, Hail to the Judge, etc (I love Kung Fu films and I like cartoon, slapstick comedy. This makes a perfect zen of the twain. Stephen Chow absolutely rocks.)

- Indiana Jones movies (These have been up there in my ultimate favorites since I can remember and they always will be up there.)

- Sin City (AMAZING movie. Honestly the best comic book movie I've ever seen, in my opinion. I do say, though, that I'm a huge fan of comic book films and love them all, except some of the recent ones, but Sin City is just so great, though it drags a little.)

Now for the ones that I love, but I feel I don't need to explain with a passion (also in no particular order):
- Krippendorf's Tribe
- Kill Bill Volume 1
- Baseketball
- Orgazmo
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- Quills
- Sky Blue (Or "Wonderful Days" depending on what edition you have.)
- Ghost World
- House of Flying Daggers
- The Aristocrats
- Army of Darkness (Bwahaha! And I have the official bootleg edition)
- Comic Book: The Movie
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- The Lion King
- Princess Mononoke
- Hook
- Dick Tracy
- The Graduate
- Snatch
- Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (I really like Guy Ritchie movies.)
- The Incredibles
- Meet the Feebles (Though I can really only watch this so much.)

I'm glad to see that somebody else likes Kung Fu Hustle. Everybody I know hates it, and I thought it had the perfect blend of action and comedy.

Clerks II is coming soon... It's going to be bitchin'!

Haha, I knew I'd be back.

In response to Trigger Happy, I'm excited about the coming Clerks sequel, Passion of the Clerks, and even saw clips of it that were only shown at Wizard World L.A. Happy happy joy joy.

I'm also excited about Southland Tales.

Others that I forgot to add (in no particular order):
- History of the World Part 1
- Priscilla Queen of the Desert
- The Dark Crystal
- MirrorMask
- Pirates of the Caribbean (I freakin' can't believe I forgot to add that one.)
- Harold and Maude (Ditto. This one is REALLY high on my list of favorites.)
- Labyrinth
- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Clint Eastwood was something of a hottie in his younger days. )
- Frida
- Adam & Steve
- Jaws
- O Brother Where Art Thou
- Gladiator
- Shrek 2 (I don't consider it a great film, but I like it enough to watch it over and over again.)
- X2

Flight of the Navigator- come on, kid that get's pulled through time by an alien
spaceraft and then has to steal the ship and fly it back through time with the AI
computer that downloaded his brain so it's got a really quirky sense of humor.
One of the best movies of all time and I've loved it since I was a little kid. I haven't
seen it in about sixteen years but it was great.

Boondock Saints- just... one of the most awesome movies. Vigilante catholic
brothers waging a war on the bad guys. I love it.

Labrynth- beautiful and very trippy movie. It holds a lot of elements of great
creativity and some wonderful imagination.

Never Ending Story- The original, not the entire series just the first one. The later
movies were nowhere near as good, and the second movie was a part of the book.
The first two movies if you put them together would make up the book as is, and
they cut out some of the best stuff like Perrilen the Night Forest, The Desert of
Colors, and Grogroman the Many Colored Death.

I have many others like the Indiana Jones movies (all of them), Kung Fu Hustle was
awesome, Lord of the Ring, Jaws, Oh Brother Where Art Thou.

I've got so many movies that I love that i can't remember all of them off the top of
my head.

This list has the potential to be very long.

Fight Club: Brad pit without a shirt on...enough said, but I thought the twisted plotline was great.

Garden State: I'm not even sure why I like this movie so much. I just connect so much with the stupid jokes and drama.

The Machinist: Just an excellent story and it treated the novel well.

Sideways: This was just an intelligent and funny film that I related to well.

Boondock Saints: This movie has everything, I can't wait until the sequel comes out.

Those are at the top of my list right now, but it changes frequently.

Some more good ones are:

Cube Zone
Terminator 1-3
Friends with money
Coach Carter
Swat
Roxanne
Playing By Heart
The Big Labowski
Interview with the vampire
Van Hellsing
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Saw 1-2
