I know I made a thread three months ago but it is pretty much dead and this is the best way to get your attention.

If you have heard of net neutrality and support it then I applaud you for being an educated person. If you have not heard of net neutrality than please sign the petition on this site to tell Congress to enforce the laws of net neutrality. Watch the little you tube video clip on the mainpage of the site to understand what I'm talking about.

Yeah, friends told me about this a month ago or so. This just pisses me off beyond words.

People need to realize the internet is something that cannot, and should not be fully controlled. It is nothing that any government or faction on the face of the Earth that should have power over.

Ugh, I just don't even know what to say.

Do you know Microsofts stance on this? With their push for broadband, especially with Xbox Live and everything ... I'd think they'd be 100% against this.

Edit: Yeah.

The supporters of Net Neutrality include leading high-tech companies such as Amazon.com, Earthlink, EBay, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Skype, Vonage and Yahoo. Prominent national figures such as Internet pioneer Vint Cerf, Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig and FCC Commissioner Michael Copps have called for stronger Net Neutrality protections.

Editorial boards at the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News and Christian Science Monitor all have urged congress to save the Internet.

Unfortunate that hardly anyone has spotted this thread or just hasn't bothered posting a reply. Truley a shame, even if this political business seems boring to some and those people just want to play games and do whatever they feel they can do in sweet ignorance bliss. WAKE UP! The threat is here, get active! Print out flyers, tell anyone who values freedom of expression especially over the internet. Net neutrality is not only under a direct threat right now but has been for more than half a year now. Blocking of certain parts of the internet already take part which are disguised as "software security flaws" which happen to take three months to fix. The exact situation happened to craigslist for 3 months plus.

I really thought about this and if this does truly happen, it would basically be quite possibly the biggest "change" I'd have to go through, maybe for the rest of my life.

I mean really think about it. It would change the entire world, and how we used the internet.

Its just a little insane to think about, I just really hope this never happens.
