It was Gerrrreat!

Yeah, I thought it was pretty awesome. I've always thought it looked good, but with what people have said recently and reviews and everything, I was kind of expecting it to be a little lackluster. That really wasn't the case. I mean, its not my favorite Superhero movie, but it was extremely good, emotional, and everything, and probably the best movie out right now that you should go see.

The music was fascinating, but the main theme brought a small grin to me everytime I heard it because it sounded like Spaceballs (now that I've said that you'll remember this and think of Spaceballs everytime you hear the theme!).

But yeah, much better than I expected.

I'm kinda scared for the guy that plays Superman. Doesn't he know that the last two people that played him were A. killed and B. paralyzed. It's just like...whoa...poor guy. Hope nothing bad happens to him

Anyway, I was never a huge fan of Superman...never got into DC comics. I was always more of a Marvel kid with my Spiderman and X-men.

Same here, and I've always loved to make fun of Superman's goofy outfit and everything, but really its a great movie.

I'll rent it then, but only because you said it was good. XD we get free monthly rentals, I'll waste one on that when it comes out. It doesn't seem like something I'd want to go see in the theaters.

Yeah, there were definitely some cheesy moments like that, but it kind of felt like an old movie from the 80's or 90's or something.

But yeah, I mean he is a "superhero" and its all fictional.

i understand that, but fiction should be somewhat believeable

i found this site when i was trying to prove to a friend that superman had ice breath (he does). it lists all of his powers. they are excessive. Super ventiloquisim??? I understand being able to shout across the world, but having it only be heard by certain ppl? how the fuck does that happen??? come ON!!!

well, it wasnt the last two people. the last two people were tom welling, and dean cain. and they're alive and well, for now.

And the origional one, i heard he commited suicide, not murdered =/

anyways, i dunno, the color on this costume seems a bit off. i dont like this blue... nor this guy.

I can't read xeo's latest posts (i'm on my phone and it hates his layout) but I read his first post earlier. Like True, i've never been a fan of super man. In fact I sort of despise him. But I know i'll end up seeing it in 3D at the I max. (My phone doesn't believe in paragraphs either. )

*glares at Machia...* You did not just call me True...XD That's my sis...and God forbid I get mistaken for her ON A POSTING SITE!

*coughs* Onward with the subject. There were two more people that acted as Superman...wow. Oh well.

Yeah, he committed suicide...but...like...he played Superman! Maybe he was a method actor and believed that he was REALLY the man of steal and then tried to do some stunt only Superman would do to prove it...then he died...

XD I'm sick.

O_o how cheesy were those moments?

ya, im going to see superman in imax too. so if i say its rlly good, that means shit because anything is good in imax
it could be a rabbit hopping around the screen, and youd say "oooh, pretty"
it is harder to make something that is bad in imax than it is to make the greatest movie in the world.

EDIT: porn would be awesome in imax...

Sorry Kaze. I was on my phone, I thought it read Aden not Azen. My bad.

From what I read, there are only 20minutes of actual 3D effects at the Imax. Which isn't that bad, it's better than nothing.

I really liked the first half of it. The second half sort of dragged, but it was still speckled with little moments that still make you go, "Yeah, you did it, Superman!"

This was really one big nostalgia movie, and it really tugged at the heartstrings at various points for me. I liked the Marlon Brando archive footage.

I also really liked Kevin Spacey. He wasn't your typical idea of Lex Luther, but his new Se7en psychotic spin was pretty refreshing. Parker Posey made for a pretty good foil to him.

Spoiler:
When Lois walked onto the boat with Jason and came across Lex while he was brushing his teeth, I turned and joked with Zoso's friend that at least she didn't walk in on him doing the first scene from American Beauty, in which Kevin Spacey's character is jerking off in the shower.

A couple little goofs, I wondered about: How is it that everyone on the plane came off with their hair looking like, well, they were just involved in a plane crash, but Lois, who was fuckin' flying all around the plane, her hair looked immaculate when she stood up to look at Superman?

It's funny that nobody notices when Clark Kent and Superman disappeared at the EXACT same time and came back at the EXACT same time.

But for the skeptics that need to know why Lois is too stupid to notice Clark Kent is Superman, you're missing that Superman has that sleeked back hair with the single curl, while Clark Kent has his hair parted like a Kansass boy. See... MAJOR difference! Do they keep hair gel in those phone booths?

And another thing... Lois left Superman... for CYCLOPS!!! Ahahahahahahaha!!!

Now that's one flippin' weird Marvel/DC-crossover.

Rogue: Yeah yeah yeah. Like I've told most of my friends, you can argue that its cheesy, but its still great. You just can't take it totally serious. The Clark / Superman disappearing at the same time thing did kind of bother me though. But the way people can't tell them apart, just kind of brings me a chuckle.

I thought the new actor for Superman did a fantastic job though.

Yes, because if he acts bad in superman, they can always say that it was just the script writers fault...because it's superman and he has some DAMN cheesy lines.

I think we can expect to see that actor in future movies however. He did an excellent job and fit the role perfectly.

So I take it I'm the only one who actually saw this? ...
