This was a story I had to write for my English class coursework, and it got me a B! Which is my second highest mark I've gotten over the last one and a half years... Anyway...

“Urgh…” I groaned as I felt myself slip back into consciousness. My vision was blurred but I could just about make out a large group of men surrounding me. One of them was talking but my hearing was so muffled I could not make out any of the words he spoke, although I believe he said my name, ‘Teundusia’. I struggled in the cold metal restraints these people had secured me into, trying to break free. I soon realized that they had somehow deactivated my powers. I also became quickly aware of the fact I was no longer in my battle suit.

I shook my head, trying to get my long, golden brown hair out of my deep blue eyes. I was quite tall compared to most people. I would have been about 3 or 4 feet taller if I did not have human DNA inside me. Still, six and a half feet tall is not bad for a sixteen year old, eh?

My vision cleared, revealing my captors. As I suspected, it was the Space Marines. Usually I would have compared them to me as my dull-minded creators, but in this case that was not true… I mean, they managed to capture me. It seemed they had gathered some intelligence.

I watched as one of the men walked towards me, kneeling down so we were looking at each other eye to eye. I recognized him the instant I saw his face. I tried to speak to him but my lips refused to make the correct shapes, so it came out as total gibberish. The man, called Jack Brocklehurst, raised his right hand to reveal he had been holding a needle. I was unsure of what the fluid inside it was, but it sure hurt when he stuck it in my neck. Whatever it was helped me, as I now had quite a bit more control over my body.

“So… You managed to capture me at last?” I said, not taking my eyes off Jack. He had quite a smug look upon his face, but he did not say anything in reply. I gazed at his rugged, dirt covered face with disgust. How did he manage to capture me? Especially without the help of Alex Daniels. I knew the both of them were the best of friends, and in past experiences Alex was the only person I knew that had the power to take me down. For now I just guessed that he must have helped but he just is not here currently.

Alex panted as he threw himself through small gaps between various bushes and trees. He heard the alien as it crashed through the forest behind him in an attempt to catch up. Ordinarily, Alex would not be scared of an 'Erumi' as the alien species was allied with humans, but when they got angry, it was best not to be nearby.

It was quite unlucky for Alex as he was not wearing his battle suit which would have helped so much, as he would not have had the need to run. He winced as a thorn from a tree cut deep into his skin. He pressed hard on the cut to try and stop the bleeding, which unfortunately caused him to lose concentration on his objective, and he tripped on a tree root. He had front flipped twice before hitting the ground hard. He coughed and wheezed as the alien landed next to him, totally unprepared for the kick the alien planted in his left thigh.
“You are to release her at once!” The alien bellowed.

Alex knew exactly who the alien was upon hearing it's voice. Sybur, the prince of the Erumi, lifted Alex's large built body with incredible ease, and slammed his body into a tree. Alex, unequipped for battle and only 6 feet tall stood no chance against the energy controlling, 9 foot giant Sybur.
“Who?” Alex asked in quite a pained voice.
“You know exactly who I'm talking about...” Syburs voice showed extreme anger. Alex knew if he said anything wrong from this point he would find his head lying twenty feet away from his lifeless body, so he decided it was best to give straight answers.
“It's no longer up to me...” Alex spluttered.
“Lier!” Sybur screamed as he lifted Alex off the tree, only to slam him into another moments later. Alex coughed up a small amount of blood which landed on Sybur's shirt.
“Honestly!” Alex replied, wiping the left over blood on his sleeve, “My job was simply to capture Teundusia. Whatever they did to her after is totally unrelated to me.”
“So you admit it's your fault there won't be a queen when I become king of my planet?” Sybur screamed back.
“Wait... She's... Aw man, no way!”
“Yes way! Now, because of you, I'll either have to find a way of obliterating the need for a queen, or I'll be forced to marry some other girl...”

Alex felt slightly ashamed of what he had done, but he never had any idea of what was going on between Sybur and Teundusia. How was he to know Teundusia, a creature of Space Marine creation, was going to become queen of the Erumi planet? Whatever he had done, he had managed to completely anger the second most powerful being in the known universe, which wasn't a good sign.
“Okay... I'll help you rescue her...”

Jack kept saying things to me, such as the horrible tests they wanted to perform on me. He said it as if he didn't have any idea what the results would be, even though the same tests were performed on me continuously a few years ago. Why can't they just accept I am a living being, one that experiences emotions and, quite frankly, shows more intelligence than the freaks in the lab.

Most of the Space Marines had left the room, and I could sense that the two guards that were still inside were getting bored, even without my mind reading powers. I made another attempt to struggle free, this time hitting the back of my head. I then hurt my wrists trying to lift my hands to my head to massage the pain away, so I decided that sitting still would be better. The guard closest to me was laughing the entire time. Humans really don't give two damns about other people's feelings.

Sybur had followed Alex to the west side of the research centre. His hands were glowing with energy ready for him to blast through the wall, but Alex held up a hand. He side stepped slowly across the wall until a small area of the ground dipped down as he stepped. Here Alex jumped up and landed hard causing the ground to spin, allowing Alex and Sybur through a secret tunnel leading into the building's deeper basement.
“I would assume they would be keeping her on this level. It's where...” Alex gulped slightly, hoping what he said next wouldn't anger Sybur any more, “It's where we perform all the experiments.” A sharp pain exploded in his back as Sybur kicked him sharply.
“You humans are like egg shells! You're nothing without your battle suit,” Sybur muttered as Alex regained his posture.
“Yeah, don't remind me. I've gotta take on... I'd guess over 40 Space Marines, all equipped in heavy war armour. Without my own!”
“Don't worry, you got me to help.” Alex did feel slightly more reassured by this, although he was still sure that Sybur would snap his body in two if he said anything else wrong.

Both guards had fallen asleep, probably due to the fact they didn't need to be in here to watch me. Thankfully one was a sleep walker. He stood up and I whispered to him, “Hey! Let me out. Let me out.” I repeated myself a few times in the hope the message would find it's way to the man's actions, and it did! He walked over and took out a small triangular key. Just as he was about to put it in the lock, Jack burst through the door. Both men suddenly woke up, and the sleep walker dropped the key in shock.
“You...” Jack said in quite a scarily angry voice, “Come out here...”
I knew exactly what was going to happen now, and I closed my eyes and gave my blessings as I heard three gun shots. Humans really need to get over their death penalty, which seems to be a big thing in the Space Marines if one of them does something wrong.

Jack came back in, striding up to me. “Try anything like that again and it'll be you who I shoot!” He shouted through gritted teeth. He smacked me across my cheek with his gun then left.

For now, the guards paid very little attention to Alex walking down the twisting corridors of the building, due to the fact that he was a Space Marine and that he was given clearance to enter every room. It was Sybur who had a lot of trouble hiding his giant body in the various corridors and rooms as other Space Marines walked down. Whenever he was spotted, the person who saw him didn't get a chance to raise the alarm.

After half an hour of walking around, the pair finally reached the room they were looking for. They could here various Space Marines talking. Alex leaned over to Sybur's ear.
“I think it will be time for action, but please, no killing,” Alex whispered.
“I'll only kill if they attempt to kill me,” Sybur replied. He span around the corner and threw two discs of energy, knocking out four of the guards. Alex poked his tranquilliser around the corner and fired the entire fifteen round clip randomly, managing to hit ten others. The remaining twenty or so guards raised their machine guns and fired, only to have their bullets stopped and destroyed by an energy shield Sybur created.

Alex twisted around the corner and gave a simple command, “Stop!” and immediately the guards stopped firing. Jack however was a little hesitant.
“Sir! It seems he was about to take the prisoner!” Jack shouted.
“Well if you have to kill him for it, you'll have to take me down too.” Alex said back, quite happy that he was annoying Jack.
“But... What about all the hard work you put into capturing her?”
“Considering I am being half threatened by the prince of the Erumi while not in my battle suit, I am not in a good position to turn against him.”

The sound of Erumi Energy filled me with joy. I was being rescued! If my rescuer was who I thought it was, those guards would stand absolutely no chance. I heard bodies fall to the ground, and was happy that my saviour wasn't killing. Believe me, after all the deaths I've experienced, you know what one sounds like.

I heard faint mutterings of Jack and Alex through the door. It seemed like Jack was getting annoyed with Alex, and he was very surprised that Alex was helping to save me. My captor, helping? Very soon after I thought that, Jack had dived through the door and ran right up to me. He released me from the restraints but took me out of it by the neck, holding his gun to my head. My powers were still inactive, and my plain 16 year old body stood no chance of getting out of Jacks powerful, muscular arms.

“LET HER GO!” I heard Sybur scream at Jack, total fury in his voice. I managed to get a glance at Sybur's body, totally covered with red energy, showing he was completely pissed off with Jack.
“I'll be able to kill her before you even begin to attack me. You wouldn't risk her life now, would you?” I looked at Sybur, giving him a tiny nod. He blinked at me to show he understood, and I bit hard into Jack's arm. While he was bothered with getting my teeth out of his flesh, Sybur struck him hard in his nose, completely crushing it inwards.
I was shocked that this guy still managed to hold me so strongly. Sybur punched again, this time sideways across Jack's lower jaw. He staggered back, his grip releasing slightly. Using the opportunity, I kicked and punched my way free. I ran up to Sybur with such a big smile on my face, this changing to a frown when I looked at Alex. Sybur immediately flew at Jack, causing me and Alex to wince at the sound of cracking bones and splitting skin.
“You're such an ass,” I said to him, spitting out the sweat and blood that filled my mouth when I bit Jack, “But thanks for saving me.”

By now, Sybur had beaten the pulp out of Jack. He was merely a crumpled heap on the floor.
“I think this is the kinda thing that'd get a man fired,” I heard Alex mutter. I walked over to the device that had held me for most of this time and pulled a lever. Large amounts of energy swirled around me, entering me via the palms of my hands.
“If only I could have done this an hour ago,” I said chuckling. I quickly regained full use of my powers and flew over to Sybur, kissing him many times. I hugged Alex in thanks, and also squeezed him hard as punishment for capturing me in the first place. Sybur and I held hands as we flew back to our own planet, looking back to catch a short glimpse of Alex waving goodbye.

Jack slowly pulled himself towards the door, feeling bruised all over and drained of blood. As he opened the door, Alex jumped in, landing hard on Jack's back. Behind him, 10 guards followed in, aiming their guns at Jack.
“Okay guys, let's see how Jack likes being treated like an experiment. Take it to its cell,” Alex commanded, and instantly the guards reacted. They lifted Jack up and carried him to his cell, almost throwing him at the concrete floor.
“I want him to be part of project Meta,” Alex said to the scientists, “That'll teach him a lesson.”

You fail if you sniggered at the first line and had perverted thoughts, as three of the people I showed the story to at school did.
