Oni made that. My mom used to use it to hang her clothesline indoors. It got all rusty and junk while I was moving to NorCal. Now, it's mounted on my wall in the entryway:

Early blood brushes. I got better ones recently. Used them in the recent comic. But this cover is going to be redone.

Oh, I see. My birthday comes and goes on the most superstitious day ever, and one of your long-time, barely-on members happens to be excluded from a Happy Birthday message.

Well, I still love most of you. A very few most of you.

Sure, my Facebook filled up with wishes of Pavlovian birthday salutations, some of which were probably very genuine and not just a response to So-and-so has a birthday today.

And then, I gave myself a birthday present by downloading gooey blood brushes for Photoshop to use in the comic, and buying myself an IKEA table for my Generation 1 iMac G3, but other than that, I did nothing.

Now, do your thing and proclaim birthday wishes or not. No one really posts after me anyway, hence my "Dr. Thread Killer" title.

I don't know. I seem to have a good streak going for killing threads.

I know you did, I appreciate it. I'm just being passively grumpy from not doing NaNoWriMo and being way behind on it. And the whole general failure that's associated with my brief unemployment. And lack of fans for my webcomic. That traffic ticket I got too.

I'm entering a revised version of this story for NaNoWriMo 2009, so I've tentatively removed it from here. It is available on Smashwords if you're interested.

I fixed the thinned out trigger guard, erased a few pixels around the edges and junk:

Most authors don't get to decide what goes on a cover. I'm just doing this because I can, and when I can't write I end up drawing. I'll just end up photographing my own AirSoft rifle with a lanyard and photoshopping in the ID and blood later. Or, letting someone else do it for me. I just color my comic in PS. And create tilt-shift photography.

True, I'm not sure if I want to drop "A Novel" into the title yet.

I'm redesigning my Characters page on my website, to show little chunks of groupings of the characters in silly or weird situations.

The groupings will be:

  • Alex Wu & Lee Ravodomla

  • Adam Rarnar, Donelle Rarnar and Bubba

  • Dr. Wilde, Rorschach, and Pickle

  • Amy, Puddlecub and Peek

  • Salina, Catie and Pennies

  • Maine Coon Manor (Mara, Max, Cleo, Yeti, Emma, Sno)

  • Peeve and Poke

  • Ping and Anubis

I didn't realize how many characters I had until I started redoing the character info page.

Anyway, here's the first two. Alex & (Demon-mode) Lee:

And the Rarnars and their (female) macaw, Bubba:

My renter's insurance is so low because all of my furniture is IKEA. The most expensive things I own is a pin collection and my computers/electronics.

And thanks. I'm periodically around. Usually when I want something.

A little better. Chapter seven will probably be chapter two after I finish NaNo (it's wonderfully descriptive), but I'm still way behind goal on NaNo itself. I've got two days to write 35,000 words. I think I can do it, but most of that will probably be scrapped, or I'll never touch Final Regression again. Doesn't matter to me, I like Juice a lot more.

It's still up on Smashwords, though. Link is in the last post from me

Picture references. Otherwise it'd be impossible for me. I still have trouble drawing some things, so I often have to change the comic if I can't draw it.

Dr. Jenifer Wilde, Pickle (gray) and Rorschach (spotted black and white) kitties:

Well, anyone who helped me move knows I have it. And others know I own it.

It would have to be people that don't know that I own that thing. Makes for a nice accent piece for people waiting by the door, though. Like pizza delivery guys and random.

Last night, after a valiant battle with cancer, a dear friend lost her husband. He was a good friend to me as well, an excellent man with a rich background and great history, a costumer and LARPer, and he just slipped away peacefully and without pain last night after a long period of deterioration.

He had been given 6 months, then it was shortened to a month, and didn't even last that. It is so sad, but the emotion I feel is so beyond sadness that I can't even begin to express it in words. I guess the closest I can get is just being numb. It's odd to go over the man's Facebook profile and see the changes in his weight and health, and to just have these accounts in cyberspace forever suspended because of the physical loss associated with them.

My friend, as she should be, is in a state of shock. She lost her best friend in life. She knew it was coming, but wasn't expecting it to be so quick. Truly, 2009 was death happy. It took so many good people, I just wish the year would be over faster.

I can work, though. I just can't hobby. I didn't find out about his death until a few hours after it had happened, since I was working late and had shut out the social network world while I was finishing up. When I discovered the notes on Twitter, I hopped on over to LJ and Facebook and was confronted with the news. It was a state of shock and disbelief. He was just gone. It didn't and it still doesn't seem real.

I was going to talk to this man on Saturday, wish him the best. Now I can only wish him a safe journey.

Art from my comic again.

Adam Rarnar
Eccentricity

Well, we all knew that Adam had a robotic iArm replacement installed on the first roll out version. He's since had four upgrades, two of which included replacing the entire arm. This is the Rarnar Medical iArm Mark III.

But, I bet you didn't know that he got the leg replacement at some point when the Rarnar Medical iLeg Mark V released. Proudly showing off that robotic arm for his dark law system street cred, but hiding that robotic leg? Well, we get to see it this time.

Along with all the machinery and connecting points to his own biological system. Bet you didn't know the Mark III needed an arterial cleansing system to keep the iArm and iLeg functioning. Well, it does. It's not painful, and those leads are diamond-wrapped lines. They can't be ripped out, and they can't be broken.

We also didn't know Adam was that ripped, but that happens when half your body has to keep up with the other enhanced half.

Hand-sketched; traced, cleaned up and colored in Photoshop CS.

So, in the most recent comic, Poke has been at it again and created yet another playmate. A female playmate that has no name, and requires one. I leave that to my fans. Thus far, I've gotten three options from fellow comic creators on Twitter. Their Twitter monikers appear after their suggestions in the forum. The naming is also up for discussion on eccentricity's forums: (New Fenine - New Name)

If you have a suggestion, I'd like to know. I'm not taking further input after the second full week of January 2010, as that's when I hope the Lee character will have a name with which to address the new fenine surprise when he returns from Manhattan.

Since I have two polls and a discussion running on my own forums, I'm going to aggregate all the voting and give the fenine the winning name in mid-January, based on all data. So far, "Snugglebutt" is winning.

I already have a Poke.

Poke, Peeve, Puddlecub, Pennies.

Potch is apparently yiddish for "spank".

I kind of also don't want another fenine with a "P" name.

So, I discovered this from a fellow webcomicker today and decided to piece together a quick short film version the dialogue to my upcoming comic update (next week's comic). It was fun for a moment:

Broccoli Man Shares About His Crotch Region

Site is Xtranormal.com. Quite easy and sometimes fun, if you don't mind the monotone acting. British voices seem to sound better.
