| So, I was poking around the banner bin for this board and found some awesome (and terrible) banners. I wrote a short (2 line) greasemonkey script to change the banner per person. So, if you use the script, you can have a different banner in your browser. No one else is affected, nor is any other browser/computer affected.
Script is located here and can be edited to use any image. Most of the banners are located here, but the old MoD one is here and here. PS: The script does a random banner from the banner bin, but they are all cached on DuW...If someone wants to put it up on Xeogaming, it'll work with no code changes...source is linked on the page above (and here) (Last edited by Lord Alexandor on 10-11-10 12:33 AM) |

| I like this! Also, I agree that comments you make on another user's profile shouldn't be deletable.
Only thing I can think of that people might want is a button to delete all comments on their profile...but I don't see that as a terribly big deal. |

| Since Lord Vulkas Mormonus is leaving us soon, I have PMed him with a super-pre-alpha preview pass to the project. I have also sent one to my Lord Xeusalexanders VII. I have one other one, but I'm saving that for a special occasion and/or person.
Hope you guys enjoy! Also, don't freak out if something changes or a character disappears. I'll try not to let that happen, but sometimes...well...I forget to back up the live server and just overwrite from the developer server. Other invites will go out when battles actually work...sorta. =S Edit: I sent one to Lord Phoenix as well, so there are 3 people to test. 3 more invites will go out when items and ranged weapons are finished. 3 more when magic works. | OOC: I haven't done this in a long time. I'll try to not be technical and be more creative.
Quick lowdown on my character as he is now: - can create fire and throw it from hands - uses nannites to manipulate magnetic fields and electrical fields in close proximity - uses magnetic coil-guns and gauss rifles primarily - can fly at low speed and low altitudes using magnetic fields - all electrical/magnetic energy is generated by a "reactor" that is permanently attached to his body - fire is chemically generated in artificial glands in torso that connect to palms - uses alcohol, protein, and carbs as fuel, can also use hydrogen and/or oxygen. Alexandor Solaris drove his beat up old junker jeep down to the ghost town. He wasn't looking for trouble, but it seemed trouble always found him. As he pulled into town, he saw the gallows and the man sitting on the platform. Knowing his luck, Alex figured he was in for a fight. Alex parked about a block away, never letting the man out of his sight. Walking to the center of the town brought back memories of other ghost towns he had investigated. Maybe this one would be different... "Can I help you, stranger?" Alex called when he entered the town square. He was starting to wish he had taken another helping at lunch, just for the additional energy. |

| Hey Phoenix (or anyone), how about this: I need artists for BOSS (check here) to make original images for all classes (male and female) as well as some item icons (swords, shields, spears, bows, arrows, armor, etc).
Class images need to be 100x140 when finished and must have at least a 1px border around them. Text is optional. Class images do not need to be the whole person, but can be anything. If you think a sword and shield best represents a fighter, do that. I plan on having multiple images available for each class so people can choose what they like (similar to NeverWinter Nights). Item icons need to be 50x50, border optional, no text. Try to include the whole item in the image. Multiple different styles would probably be good too. I definitely need a sword, shield, bow, arrow(s)/quiver of arrows, helmet, armor, pants, ring, necklace, bracers, and boots. Transparent backgrounds are best on both image types. Also, both types can be either really nice art or sprite-ish. I'm not picky. BUT, I want both sets to match style. If class images are all nice and fancy, I'll want fancy item images. Same goes for item icons. I'll need some GUI interface icons/buttons later, but some basic items and new class images would be fantastic! I'm willing to pay for this stuff, since I'll need full/un-restricted rights to use and distribute them with BOSS. We can negotiate price via PM or E-Mail (lord[dot]alexandor[at]gmail[dot]com) As for what to do for each thing, I'll give you free reign to do what you think looks best. | Found this on reddit (link) - Its called the Kno and it is basically a dual tablet that lets you read textbooks, highlight, take notes, etc while on a tablet interface. You can access the internet, do research, study, take notes, watch videos, listen to audio, and do anything for classes... all on one textbook size item. Apparently its a hit with student testers, so hopefully this will catch and colleges will use it. High schools could definitely use it too. Schools would save hundreds, even thousands of dollars if they only needed one of these per student rather than a ton of books. It'd be amazing.
