75% of the energy used from free apps is actually to send ads.

This kind of surprised me. With smart phones taking off and the technology becoming available to everyone, this is something you should know. For me, I would rather spend the money purchasing any apps that I'm going to be using rather than have my battery die halfway through my day.

This is a thread for your problems that aren't actually problems and you feel like whining about something in a funny manner because das how u role. liek dis iff u crie evry tiem.


So, here I am, browsing XGF. It's late last night, and I'm taking a pretty serious poop. Luckily I had my smart phone to keep me company, so I came here to check out if the stuff I had posted earlier had received comments ((and to see if I was staff yet. I will prevail)). And here I find a post Nelrith made! He was sad. So I wanted to cheer him up, but I was tired and pooping, so I thought, "I'll wait until tomorrow, when I am done pooping and my first day at my new job is over". But when I logged in, a big fat OFF was staring me in the face.

Dem bitches.

So then I made this thread to be sad that I couldn't make Nelrith happy. (seriously) (I have the feeling something is going to happen to this thread)

I had a large rant on Facebook about this. While I agree to the fullest extent that Kony should be removed from power, I disagree with how this organization is planning on doing so. Not only, as Belial stated above, does only 30% of their profits go towards the country of Uganda, but it funds the Ugandan military. By supporting this group, you're funding a war that will most likely kill the very children that this organization is claiming they wish to save, as Elara stated. It's very controversial. Invisible Children is doing a great job of spreading awareness, but their goal is one that cannot be reached by the means they are going about this.

Not at the moment. I need to save up for next semester.

As for helping to keep cool, don't stress too much. Make sure you're getting the proper amount of sleep and eating properly. It sounds simple and pretty obvious, but a lot of people don't do any of this around the time of finals.

Also, look into Omega 3 if you have problems focusing while studying. I started taking it a few months ago and it helps a LOT. I also have severe ADHD, but hey. It still helps.

Yeesh. I finally got a new job.

Granted, it isn't great, but it is much better than where it was. I'm currently working as a full-time Room Attendant at a Marriott hotel. I think the pay is $8.25/hr, but the full-time really puts me over what I was doing at my last job. I actually don't mind going to work now.

Also, I think I finally figured out what I want to do for a career. Nursing. I'm going to be taking a RN certification course in the Fall (maybe the summer) and that will get my foot in the door at a hospital. Then I'm going to transfer from community college over to either Temple or Holy Family. I'm kind of excited about it. It pays great, I get a lot of time off to write, and I get to help people. I might specialize in cardiology, considering my own condition.
