| Why is it with EVERY school I've ever gone to Spring Break starts after Easter Sunday? My Spring Break is starting this week, but it makes no huge difference since I'm down to one class that meets only once a week anyway.
No major plans other than a couple Voidcrush gigs I'll be working. Who knows? I might do something big, have an adventure, save my long lost bicycle from the clutches of The Bicycle Thief. |

Do you have any pets? - At the moment just a cat and a cockatiel. What color shirt are you wearing? - Black. Name three things that are physically close to you: 1. A shelf with a whole lot of graphic novels and manga on it (immediately in front of me on my desk). 2. A ceramic lawn gnome (on top of the shelf). 3. Zoso's inhaler. What is the last book you read? - 100 Bullets Vol. 2. Are you or were you a good student? - Yeah, but I sort of fell out of that in college.
What's your favorite sport? - I used to really like baseball. Do you enjoy sleeping late? - Not really. Whenever I wake up after 11, I feel like I've wasted a day. What's the weather like right now? - Overcast. Who tells the best jokes? - Mitch Hedberg. What was the last thing you dreamed about? - Something about being in a public bathroom with all these girls surrounding me while I'm trying to go, wanting me to sign things and talk to them and them giving me money (which bummed me out because when I woke up I was wishing I had that money). Do you drive? If so, have you ever crashed? - I don't drive an actual car and I've never crashed anything that I have driven. Do you believe in karma? - Yes and no. The "What goes around, comes around" notion that people think it is is not really what karma is. Karma determines what status and form you take when you are reborn, not whether you get screwed over by someone else down the line because of something you did to someone last week. Do you believe in luck? - Again yes and no. Do you like your eggs scrambled or sunny side up? - I don't really like eggs, but between the two: scrambled. Do you collect anything? If so, what? - Yeah, comics, graphic novels, DVDs, pictures with celebrities, memories. Are you proud of yourself? - I'm "meh" about myself. Are you reliable? - Reasonably. Have you ever given money to a bum? - Yes. When I have single $1 bills and change in my pocket, I tend to give it away when someone needy crosses my path. | I saw it this weekend at a drive-in. That is absolutely the most hysterical movie(s) I've seen a long time.
Seriously. No words. There are none. It's just too funny. The "previews" had Zoso and me on the floor every time. I was REALLY pleased to see Zoe Bell in a leading role (as herself, even!). She's one of my heroes as she was the stunt double for both Xena and The Bride, and I even went to the premiere of the documentary about her and Jeanie Epper (the stunt double for Wonder Woman). Seeing it at a drive-in actually enhanced the experience, especially for the car chase bits in "Death Proof." I've always loved drive-ins and it's somewhat a shame that they've almost completely disappeared. |
