| It's cold as shit. There's snow everywhere. Any vehicle I have access to is not equipped for this sort of weather, and I do not have the money to make sure they are either. So, driving is nearly impossible, especially through my neighborhood.
We're supposedly getting ANOTHER storm next week?! WTF. I hate my life right now. I can't stop being bitter. While driving to work, some asshole decides to hydroplane. Luckily enough I somehow had enough forsight to pump the breaks a little so I didn't have to slam on them suddenly. Next thing I know, he's backing his bigass truck toward me, no signals, no NOTHING. So, I go into reverse...he's NOT stopping. I have NOWHERE else to go except for the snow mound behind me. My car gets stuck. I get out, knock on his window, and politely explain to him that if he doesn't help get my car out of there, that I would be forced to rip him from HIS vehicle, beat him even more senseless than he already was, and then use his limp body to shovel the snow from my car, which was preventing me from going anywhere. Screw this "inclement" weather. It's causing me to regress back to the dark days of having a REALLY nasty temper and no patience whatsoever. Oh, and Congrats LA!  |

The Hoth reference makes me like the idea of snow. Almost. But...I. Hate. Snow. And I have a feeling I'm going to be taken in for "assault" again if someone pisses me off on the road again. Anger management in pill form would help immensely for the time being. | I went from not changing since the toddler years, to BAM! hit 21, and started growing up somehow. I only hope it's for the best. Haha. O_o And it's the first time I posted a pic without make-up, I think. But thanks. It's nice to not feel like I need it...but it's still hella fun to put on, so I'm guilty of wearing it for that reason only.

| Yes and no. As far as my experience goes. But I've looked for different kind of jobs. As far as the general 40 hour week kinda deal, I haven't heard of anyone having much luck with them. I've only used Craigslist personally, but that's how I've gotten most of my commissions. I've only been able to get work for people looking for graphic designers or illustrators for certain projects. I had some experience with some editing as well.
Truthfully, now that I think about it, I suggest trying to see if you can find anyone looking for something that is a hobby of your's maybe? Fixing computers, cars maybe? I know a lot of people don't like turning their hobbies into something difficult and aggrivating, but hey, if you can get work here and there in doing something you like, then what's the harm in it? Also, I saw a commercial for Job Corps. I haven't heard of it until Cody had told me that's what he was doing. And suddenly, I've been seeing commercials for it quite recently. I would talk to Cody about Job Corps, if you're interested. **shrugs** |

I know we have some sort of Tron controler as well, but nothing cool looking like the two Cyro got. What did I just buy though? Other than paying my phone bill with this check, as well as my share of the utilities and food stuffs, I just bought some sundresses. Still a little cold for them, but they were on sale, and I always buy my clothes out of season when I'm intentionally setting out to get clothes. MUCH cheaper that way.
But yeah. I've discovered that I have grown up enough to wear the occasional dress/skirt, and I don't feel awkward anymore. I just always wear shorts under 'em just in case. The need to chase and tackle hasn't dissipated just yet. |

I thought that would never happen again, with all the lights and shit they throw on the poor guy. I'm waiting for headlines of him biting the shit outta the people who drag him out of his home like that. I'd be pretty pissed myself. But, it's apparently "nice" here. Cold is cold. I shiver in 60 degrees, so it doesn't matter to me that it's "up" to the 40's here. But it IS sunny today, and was yesterday. And I could hear birds outside yesterday. THAT'S what makes me feel like it's spring finally. So, I too am suffering a major pump fake (cuz it's supposed to get colder againt his week.) despite not being fooled by the sun and 40-something degrees. **shrugs** |

Oiy. I can't WAIT for this week to be over. I'm spending the majority of my "downtime" here, because typing is relaxing. I have 40 hours this week at work. Which usually isn't bad. But my store manager is on vacation this week. And while he is fucking AWESOME. Always accessible, and doesn't find it beneath him to do whatever it takes to make sure the store is run properly, and that we're all taken care of, even his other managers, my District Manager said he MUST be completely inaccessable this week. Why? Because I am being offered a promition. But the offer is banking on how this week goes. My store needs to get "numbers" (subs, reserves, all that shit us GameStop people torment you over everytime you go in? Yeah. We get no commission for that or anything. We just get to keep our jobs. And some of us, myself included, actually CARE that you get that card that will save you about 5 bucks on your PS3-360 games, thus, annually, actually saving people money.) But yeah...plus there's all sorts of other shit. My DM told the other managers to back off. If there's any problem when I'm NOT there, to call me. And I can't go to my manager. I can only go to the DM. It's supposedly "more difficult." but my store manager gives me free reign anyway. I just have to consult him for formality. Seriously. When I have to call him, the conversation goes as follows "Hey Steve, it's---" "Yeah yeah, whatever. Do what you think is best." Which is awesome, by the way. Makes life HELLA easier at work. That and I was also commissioned by the company to pull some artworkshit outta my ass. My district is running an experiment, so...and I have a few other commissions...**headdesk** Oiy. HA! There is a plus side of this however. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the sentiments already expressed here. That's why I'm not going to repeat them. There's going to be stupid people out there. Always. What impresses me is the "It's all over blown. I hope nothing happens to her, but she was dumb for posting it on youtube." I like seeing people take note of stupid shit like this (because stupid shit is like a child. Ignoring it all together will only make it mad and it'll get more and more rambunctious. And unfortunately, there are laws that protect it from just being silenced.) and not let it get to them and carry on. There are much more important things out there, and I'm privileged to see such situations in which other people obviously see that too. |

| I've done what little I could do so far toward the Red Cross relief funds.
A very dear friend of mind just came back from studying abroad in Japan and he's devastated. I feel so terrible for him. My heart goes out to everyone effected by this disaster, and I hope that releif and good news come to them soon. In the meantime, I'll just continue doing what I can, and I'm glad that many others have taken the same sort of stance, despite not being personally effected. (PS: What cable company do you have, if you don't mind my asking Elara. Local news here doesn't seem to be too great. Philly is fairly lucky, I suppose, but I still get most of my info via internet due to the stupidity of news here. =/ ) |

| You don't have to drop out. Even if it's in loans, you don't have to drop out. Like everyone else has said, make it one class here or there even.
College isn't going anywhere like previously mentioned. I'm about to be 23, and I've been at this since I was 18. I'm currently not in school and am working a lot, but that's another story. And not because it's me and not you. The classes I need aren't available to me right now and I can't afford to take classes because I want to. Anywho...I'm assuming you don't wish to get trapped into loans, but if you're going to BCCC (I think we have talked about this before) then a loan for one or two classes a semester not only won't be a big deal, but you could probably pay them off over a summer. Or at least dent them so nicely that you could be able to work a little, go to college, and still put a few bucks a month on 'em here or there. Btw, BCCC is a GREAT school, so I'm actually hoping you'd be looking into that one as opposed to another. I did a semester there and am in love with the place. I wish I could have gotten a 4-year-degree there...but...talk to the school, whichever it is, about your situation. They'll know better than anyone if there's any sort of special program. Even if it's a nigh course or so. It'll take you longer this way, but look at it this way: You get to take care of your family, yourself AND take the courses that HAVE to be taken, no matter what your major is. That, in turn will give you more time to be sure about what you wanna do, that way when you're focusing on your career/major specific courses, you'll be able to stick with it. It's not how long it takes. It's that you do it, and you do it well. Get the most out of it. Things like that. We've talked before. I gotta get you to come out to play someday, so I can meet you in person. Maybe I'll make you and Cairoi come to a movie and I'll get you guys dinner. You're not alone in this. I STILL "live in the ghetto" and forthe record, a good substitute for spaghetti with no sauce is buttered noodles and ketchup. Whether it's good FOR you is another story. :p But all the same, you're not alone in this. And the fact that we live pretty damn close to one another makes me feel like our experiences could be similar enough that I could actually reach out and help you. Tell me to screw off if I'm being imposing, but I made a lot of stupid lazy choices admist the poverty and family troubles I've had to face, and I had no one to mentor me through them. If I can help you have that person that I didn't have so you can get through this and be okay, then the time it's taking me to figure things out and be "okay" myself is worthwhile. As for your step-dad and the age thing...you nailed it. Your dad left when he "could do no wrong." The uncommon denominators around here seem to be the people who DON'T grow up hardened to this kind of thing. |

| So, the launch was this past Sunday, and today is my first day off from work since. And...I officially miss work. I was having a ball walking around my store when we weren't busy and doing demos and shit like that.
I voted maybe though. For starters, WAY too expensive for me now. Even if the price doesn't drop for a LONG time I just simply can't afford 250 right now. But also, I can't seem to get used to it. Perhaps it's because I'm not just sitting and playing, I'm actually working, so I have to walk around my store, act as though it's all one big presentation, so I'm taking others into account as well. But I dunno. But, it is fun. There's no denying that. And the titles for the system have me a bit excited. I'm not gonna lie, I don't have enough time to play handhelds like I used to (as Gurren mentioned as well, I believe.) but I do leave my DS and PSP on my bed, and typically play for about 20 minutes or so before falling asleep. (which doesn't justify me spending 250 on a handheld anyway, I guess.) |
