I think I'm going to go insane.
I know I need a job, but there are too many things coming up that it'd be a hassle asking for time off. Job getting is going to have to wait 'til August. Yes, I'm lame. |

His name was Ted (plays off the Unibomber's name: Ted Kaczynski). I liked him when he was first introduced, waned from him in the "Company Man" episode when he pretty much exposed Claire, and then sort of started to like him again (he can jumpstart a car with his hands!).
So... things that still need to be solved or explained: - How the eclipse fits into all of this (seriously, it seems to be something the writers want to keep secret, they expressly wouldn't answer that among other things during the panel I went to) - What exactly the helix means since it appears so often around the characters (although Ando did say it was a mixture of the kanji for "godsend" and "great talent"). - How Sylar absorbs powers. - Does Mohinder have a power as well, or did the fact that his blood being the "healthy baby antibodies" prove that he doesn't? - Does Mr. Nakamura (George Takai) have a power? He's associated with the company, it's possible. - WHAT THE HELL IS BENNET'S FIRST NAME?!?!?!?! (Seriously, they showed a close up of his Texas ID. I happened to tape that episode and even when I went back to pause it, it just said "BENNET"!!!! GAH!!!! - For that matter, what's the Haitian's name? - Where's Claude? He did appear in Peter's prophetic exploding dream and he's still alive somewhere. Perhaps he'll show up in the last episode. Anyway, one thing that sort of bothered me about this last week's episode was the opening scene where Peter is absorbing Ted's power and he's asking Claire to shoot him. It was the cliffhanger from last week, for crying out loud, and how did it work out? ---"Claire! Shoot Me!! No, no, wait ... I'm OK." The Linderman head massage did make up for it, though. Oh and I just remembered. At the panel, the writers and Tim Kring did mention that they were planning a graphic novel that would come out next year entitled "Saving Charlie," in which it recounts Hiro's failure to help Charlie before she would be killed by Sylar, but who was already going to die from a blood clot in her brain. That does remind me. Since Sylar has that power, is he a super genius now? He has so many powers that they tend to neglect showing a few for a while. Which reminds me, supposedly Eden killed herself (ruining her brain) before Sylar could kill her her, yet in some episodes he seems to be speaking with Eden's commanding voice. Am I missing something? (Last edited by Rogue on 11-01-07 05:00 PM) |

I think Xeo was serious. You forgot the Rusty Trombone, hon.
OK, I'll be the first to answer it truthfully (that is if you don't want to count that Kama Sutra of a post of Xeo's). I like an old favorite, it's tried and true and traditional: missionary. And all of it's many variations (legs over shoulders, legs wrapped around waists, etc). If ropes or bondage implements were involved I wouldn't be opposed (though they haven't ). In answer for Zoso (the person with outie bits in this tango), he prefers the woman-on-top one (of many names), specially when certain motions are applied. Yeah, we're lame. |

Oh. My. God.
You have to hear the 911 call. http://www.wxyz.com/news/story.aspx?content_id=34c749cd-cb81-4dea-8461-babd2508b53b I'll post the article in quotes later. |

Nope, but that does sound like a certain 911-caller.

OFTEN. I'm half Filipino, half white. Whenever it comes up what I am (especially with people I'm still just getting to know), I always get "I knew there was something about you" and then often "I thought it was Mexican." It's one thing to say I look exotic, but when they make it sound like they were honing in on a character flaw, it's rather disappointing.
Have you ever been promised something that sounded too good to be true, backed out of the deal and it really did turn out to be real (but now you're missing out on it)? |

So yeah, here's the article (also for the lazy), but seriously listen to the 911 call. It's priceless. Shuyin has the direct link in his post.

http://www.amazon.com/Sailor-Moon-Stars-Complete-Official/dp/B000KF0W3A/
There are several tell-tale signs that it is a bootleg, namely that there is no "official" complete series boxset among the most obvious. Even still, it's somewhat disappointing that this got passed Amazon. Then again, many of their people aren't aware of the Chinese bootleg market. (Last edited by Rogue on 05-17-07 04:03 PM) |

Oh god. Such nostalgia will I let loose in this thread.
I would admit that I still watch children's shows now, but most of them suck. Almost like they're geared toward really little kids. I do still love the ones I used to devoutly follow, though. A short list of my favorites: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?--I loved every version of the show including the cartoon with Zack and Ivy. I wasn't too fond of the "Where in Time...?" edition, but it was Carmen, and Carmen is still one of my heroes, so I didn't complain, though I missed Greg Lee and Rockapella. R.I.P. Chief : GhostWriter--OK, admittedly I was a huge PBS kid (and a Disney kid, but that's a different story). GhostWriter was unbelievably cool, at least as the kids got older. Extreme Ghostbusters--I was a pretty big fan of the original series, but when this one came out I sort of forgot about the older series and followed this one to its canceling. I wrote fanfics and filk songs for this series. Some of my oldest Internet friends I made talking about this show with: Then of course there were these shows that need no introduction: There are still just so many I could list here, but this is a start so far. When I was a lot younger, I also really loved shows like Xena, Hercules, Brisco County Junior, among others, but those aren't kiddie shows. |

Oh my God, I remember loving a lot of those shows too, though I remember more watching (but not so much loving) VR Troopers, Super Human Samurai, Big Bad Beetle Borgs, and the like.
But oh man, Beast Wars and Batman (then they changed it up, brought in a new Robin and had Batman and Batgirl in a relationship). Those were great days. And I remember being obsessed with the live action Mario Brothers. For a long time I had a tape they put that came with the Mario cartoon "The Big BMX Race" or something of that nature. Anybody remember this though? I remember getting into it after they canceled Sailor Moon in the mornings: (Last edited by Rogue on 05-18-07 10:29 PM) |

Happy birthday to you both. Man, everyone's getting to be so much older than when I first met them. |

Yeah, I have a signed one of their "The Greate Donkey of Bethlehem: Formerly Known as 'Jesus' Big Black Ass'" posters signed. Richard signed next to the donkey's head, "Not just my ears are long!"
So... while there's something of a captive audience, time to plan out the masquerade stuff. |

I'm BORRRED. Here's one of these really long things.
What time is it? - 9:42 a.m. Pacific Standard Time What are you most afraid of? - Failure, the dark, and small, crowded spaces. What is the most recent movie that you have seen in a theater? - In a theater specifically? 300. But I have since watched Grindhouse a couple times at the drive-in. Have you ever seen a ghost? - No. Where were you born? - Los Angeles, Calif. Ever been to Alaska? - Not that I'm aware. Ever been toilet papering? - No, but my house has been rolled a couple times. Loved someone so much it made you cry? - In a manner of speaking. Been in a serious car accident? - Thankfully no. Do you plan to have any more children? - "Any more"? I might have at least one someday. Favorite day of the week? - All of the days have their perks depending on what I might be doing. Favorite Restaurant? - Don't really have one. I tend to like trying a lot of hole-in-the-wall places, but I'd probably say Canter's, Ten Ten, Philippe's and George's. Favorite Flower? - Hibiscus and cherry and apple blossoms. Favorite color? - The many shades of green. Favorite sport to watch? - Sword fighting. Favorite Drink? - Jones soda. Favorite Ice Cream? - Anything chocolatey with butterscotch, caramel, and/or mint. Favorite fast food restaurant? - Lee's Sandwiches in Irvine, Oki Dog and for an actual name brand place: Burger King. What color is your bedroom carpet? - Brown/beige, covered in stains. How many times did you fail your driver’s test? - At least twice, but I didn't study. What do you do when you are bored? - Fill out these things, watch old shows on YouTube, and lately play FFXII (even though I beat it already). What time is your bedtime? - Depends on what I'm doing. I usually go to sleep somewhere between midnight and 5 a.m. (the really late nights are when Zoso's band has a gig or I'm hanging out with certain people, among other things). Favorite TV shows? - Good grief this'll take a while. Well here are the top ones I can think of right now: Heroes, Xena, Mythbusters, Firefly, My Name is Earl, Carmen Sandiego, and Extreme Ghostbusters. What are you most grateful for? - My friends and family, Zoso, my fandoms, the mere fact that I have a roof over my head, I get enough to eat most of the time (most certainly), and that living where I do provides certain conveniences that many don't get (like the fact that my home won't be hit by a tsunami or will likely never be suicide bombed). What are you listening to right now? - I'm watching Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Occasionally they break into song. How many pets do you have? - Two currently. Three if you count Zoso. Which came first: the chicken or the egg? - It's videos like this that answer so I don't have to lose sleep at night. What would you like to accomplish before you die? - See more of the world. How tall are you barefoot? - 5'5", I think. Have you ever flown first-class? - A couple times. Neither time I payed for, and both were just for flights that it didn't really matter where you sat. Your favorite books when you were a child? - The Bernstein Bears and various fairy tales. My parents read the original works with all the blood, guts and gore, not the Little-Golden-Book-everybody's-happy versions. What is your favorite small appliance? - Get your mind out of the gutter (not interested in using such things anyway). Umm... Small appliance? We don't have/use any appliances here outside of the refrigerator, oven, and such. Don't have a blender, electric can opener or any of that crap. One person that never fails to make you laugh? - Zoso, I guess. What’s your favorite Christmas song? - I rather dislike Christmas songs. Don't know why. What was the first music that you ever bought? - By myself? I really can't remember exactly. Do you do push-ups? - Not voluntarily. What was one of your favorite games as a child? - Jailbreak and kickball. What is the one thing that you cook that always receives compliments? - Mashed potatoes, I guess. When you were twelve years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? - A marine biologist. Your favorite Soup of the Day? - Albondigas, but I really like the creamy soups (cream of potato, broccoli cheddar). Have you ever met someone famous? - Many, but it also depends on your idea of "famous." To name a few of the definites, though: Kevin Smith, Lucy Lawless, Jason Lee, Kevin Sorbo, Bruce Campbell, and many comics and anime creators/writers/artists/directors/what-have-you. Date Of Birth? - Jan. 14, 1985 Top 3 thoughts at this exact moment: * Why won't my body be good? (As in there's always something hurting, rumbling, or broken) * How am I supposed to get the money by Wednesday? * This movie is terrible (I'm now watching Empire Records. I love it for the most part, but Liv Tyler ruins any part of the celluloid she touches). Three people you’re thinking about right now: * Zoso * Gina * Christina/Jayne Name five drinks you regularly drink: * Propel Fitness Water * Mountain Dew * Coffee (and all of its incarnations) * Jones, whenever I can get my hands on some. * Some form of beer From what news source do you receive the bulk of your news? - Online mostly. Otherwise from TV and newspapers. Current hair? - My natural color (brown), about 4 inches past my shoulder, unbrushed, no product in it, nothing. Current worry? - Why the hell is my body so shitty right now? I hate doctors and even more so discovering there might be something wrong with me. Current hate? - Aside from the usual feeling poor and shitty? Growing up. Favorite place to be? - At a convention, faire, or museum. Least favorite place to be? - Stuck indoors all day (indoors being at home or at someone else's house when we could be going somewhere). Do you consider yourself well organized? - That's a laugh. Ha! Do you believe in an afterlife? - Not sure. I'm agnostic. Where do you think you will be in 10 years? - Ours is not to reason why. Do you burn or tan? - Time was I would just turn a light brown, now I really burn. Who was the last blogger you hung out with? - I don't hang out with people who label themselves bloggers. What’s in your pockets right now? - I don't have pockets on me right now (wearing a skirt). Last thing that made you laugh? - A three-way IM with Junkie and Kittybob just now. Best bed sheets you had as a child? - I never had any cool or memorable bedding. Though I still have the Snoopy/Peanuts comforter. What would you like to accomplish with the remaining years of your life? - Isn't this question already up there somewhere? See the world, meet some people, do as much as I can. When I was 13 I was on the phone with one for a while about long distance service and said I would go along with what they were selling (mostly because every time I said no, they wouldn't let me go and I didn't want to just hang up on them). She said someone would call tomorrow to confirm the order and that if I backed out it would ruin her rating as a salesperson for her boss.
The next day when someone called (early in the friggin' morning, I might add), I just told them I wasn't interested and to cancel the order. For fuck's sake, I was 13. I'm not going to buy an 800 number just so people could call me for free. A month later, she calls back to rant about her rating dropping because of me and how it's put her in complete mental anguish. I said, "I'm 13, I didn't sign anything, and I changed my mind," and hung up. A couple days later when my dad asked me why this crazed person kept calling our house, I explained the situation to him, he laughed his ass off and after he dealt with the person (several colorful profanities thrown in), she never called again. Oh man, I remember the bubble gum monster episodes. I think that was the very last one of the series (and then they made a new one that went on network television that I never watched). Yeah, they were pretty creepy.
I remember getting into these too (since they came on along with Extreme Ghostbusters): |
