S'me.  It's all either REALLY old or unfinished though. Haven't been able to get my new shit up there. Although the lip, eye, and nose studies were done around Nov 2010. Haven't gotten much better, so that's where I am currently.  **ashamed**

| I swear, I always think I've uploaded most of my work, then I find some...from like a billion years ago.
In any case, I tend to gravitate toward the copy-paste fanart when I'm just in the mood to draw, but not to think. (Or when I don't feel like drawing AT ALL, but coloring is a VERY tantalizing idea at the moment.) I am in love with the Haruhi series, both anime and manga, and was just doodling a pic of her that I found. But I ended up daydreaming a bit, not looking at the picture so much and when a friend was looking over my shoulder, she said it reminded her of me. (Mostly the pose. I have this thing for reading upside down for a few minutes when I'm having difficulty concentrating/understanding something, or it's just plain something I don't feel like studying.) So, I literally turned it into me. So, it's an "Anime Me" in my high school uniform. My style hasn't changed since I was like 10, so...haha. 
This one was just a quick sketch of Garnet from FFIX. I was trying to practice drawing more realistic, yet cartoonish at the same time. FF characters are actually a good bit of source material for that. 
The quality of paper and scanner aren't good. These must have been scanned by my old scanner, may she rest in neverending suffering in the fiery pits of hell. Plus, quality of the artist could use MUCH improvment. |

| I unfortunately read the first 4 books of the True Blood series. Well, Sookie Stackhouse whatever...
The first one was sorta kinda okay. I mean, I remember thinking it was a little weird, but that I would put up with it. Kept telling myself that it wouldn't be so popular if there wasn't something good about it (This was right before True Blood aired. Like, JUST before, and I wasn't familiar with it all enough to make the connection. Someone just threw the book at me while I was leaving to go see my dad in Tennessee, and said "enjoy.") But, being bored in Tennessee, I went and bought the next three... And they're the same thing. Over. And. Over. Again. And this dumb bitch just keeps getting into the same kind of trouble. Over. And. Over. Again. /rant. But the series...I can only say that the little I've seen, I've enjoyed. Didn't exactly pull me in, but I didn't want to gouge my eyes out for watching either. Bloodsport? Epic. |

| How much longer is your contract? If it's something that's not effecting you now...there HAS to be some sort of middle ground between what you need to do for yourself, and what you HAVE to do for the military...
It IS tough being in the military. Not that I would know personally, but still...props to you for everything you've done for the country thus far. I'm glad you see the benefits that that you're making it work out for you. |

| Perfect. I'm considering lowering it to 5 (although more won't hurt, especially for what I have in mind.) But this is only one level to the experiment. I'll be doing other means of experimentation outside of the board, as well as other research. I just have to have my theories proven or disproven.
And again, I know we're all busy. I've been on the computer all day pretty much, but I had the day off from work, and am sick enough today to probably have called out anyway, so I have nowhere else to go, and not much energy to do much else. So, I understand. The attempt is part of my research anyway.
(I'll divulge everythin shortly. I have to put together a few more ideas toward my hypothesis. I know generally what I want to do, but I've been researching today what could be the most effective. So I'm not a hundred percent sure of how I wanna do this at the moment anyway.) |

| Got some a few months back actually. I'm not too good with them yet, but they're hella fun. I work a lot with India Ink as well. I have every color they made for the Higgins brand. It's the cheapest with decent quality that I could find. But it's basically like painting...only with ink. And again, it's REALLY fun. These were scanned in a while ago. Waiting on a new scanner now actually. I'll put up some more recent stuff. I'm still finding some old shit actually. Feels like I'm treasure hunting. |

And funny you say that about Videl, because one of my cardinal rules is, I will never spend copious amounts of money on a wig. Therefore, I will only consider posing as characters that have my hair color, and preferably with long hair. I'm also a stickler for some sort of accuracy. So, no more Rinoa, I guess, my hair is too long. Gonna do Garnet and Sailor Mars next...and now that you brought it up, Videl. Most definitely Videl...I loved her character. Edit: In fact, should probably make Videl a priority. I wouldn't have to stop being me for that costume. XD (might as well go there. H'okay. An explanation of the goal. I've been tasked with proving the worth of Network Marketing. Luckily, this is one of those rare times in which I'm chosen to prove something I think actually works, but now it's a new challenge. To put in the work for the assignment to make it look more like I tried, rather than said "Yeah yeah yeah. Whatever. This works, cuz I said so." The reason why I'm specifically asking for 10 is because it's an easy number to use mathematically. IF need be, I'm willing to go down to 5, that way I can just cut original factors in half...but...5 is too easy. As said before, I'm counting on there to be someone who doesn't make their goal. The Experiment: Each post is one dollar. I've got 7 people, including myself, that is willing to try this so far. By all means, I hope that more people are willing before the first of September. But I NEED to see an official declaration in this thread before then. I'll explian why in a moment. So, 7 people at 10 posts = 70 dollars a day. 30 days in September. So that's a goal of "earning" $2,100.00 for the entire month. To make this a little more fun, I'll come up with a creative reason to earn and spend this sum of money, when we start this. XD Now, the reason why this is a network marketing gig is because, for whatever reason, we need to have $2,100.00 by the end of the day on September 30th. (I will take timezone into consideration. And naturally, should I get more than 7 people, or we decide to change the number of posts per person per day, this magic number will change.) But making 2,100 posts in a month for one person is difficult, and at this point, damn near impossible. So, we all need to help each other make this money. (Network Marketing works out a little differently in most cases, but the point is that in NM, no one makes money unless we help everyone else involved make money as well. I'm just applying that notion to how we function here on this board.) Now, here's why I'm counting on some people to not "make the day." The point I'm using the board to narrow in on, is the success of actually HELPING one another, opposed to playing dirty to climb to the proverbial top. So, 70 posts per day...shit, that's the goal, but Katana and Elara only made 5 of their's, because they were too busy fighting over Crosby's love of crying like a little bitch about everything rather than just playing the damn game...(  HAHA!) So that means that there will only be 60 posts for the day. We're missing 10. Well, Sorcha just happens to still be here, and Nelrith, and the Boss. So between the three of them, they come up with the 10 that Katana and Elara didn't accomplish for the day. Because remember, if we don't make that goal, NONE of us get anything. (Again, I'll make up some reason for getting this "money" together.) Point is, we can do more than 10. I'm not saying ONLY do 10 posts in a day. Especially since, think about it, if everyone except for two people make their 10 posts, and people step in to make up for what someone else had trouble with, then that's more than 10 posts for the people who helped. This isn't a competition among each other to put people down for not making the goal or anything, either. This is people who want to work together to accomplish something, and since we all need one another, we want to help.
I really can't say much else until we start this, I'll give re-caps on what I'm finding, how we're doing, etc...as we go along. This experiment is based off a hypothesis, so either it works or it doesn't...and in the meantime, I try to make it work. **shrugs** But once this starts, I'm wondering if we can "sticky" a thread on this. It'll list the people involved, a re-cap of each day (due to timezones, each post I make with the totals and how we did will probably be for the day before, if that makes any sense. Which means since technically this ends on Sept. 30th, we won't have the results posted officially until October 1st.) Now, does this mean I'm counting out any, say, new members that come along during the month of September? No. And I'm not discounting the people who post here once in a while. But if you are not listed in the new thread I'll make when we start this, then you're going to count for something else. Another factor of the experiment...but I can't tell anyone what I'm doing with that until the end. If everyone else knows, it could effect the outcome, so...yeah. (I'm rushing this a little, so if I need to clarify anything, please, by all means, tell me here. I want to get as much of this straightened out in this thread so that the other is just the results/info we need as this takes off. And I know this was long, so thanks again for the patience!) |
