I've had one member of my graduating class die already. I didn't bother me because I always hated the guy, but it sucks that he died so young. Your friends seemed to have meant a lot to many people, and I light a candle for them and you.

Don't feel too bad, you did add something different since you brought up the election. Gods that was the biggest circus in history! I voted for Camejo though, since I didn't trust Arnold to do what he was promising and I honestly thought that the Green party had the best candidate.

Honestly, how about making it a felony to hire illegal immigrants or something? Heavy fines and jail time are good incentives to not hire Juan Garcia (who just crossed the border in a barrel in a van last week) just because you can pay him $3/hour and get away with it. Or better yet, how about going after the people who make forged papers and social security cards for illegals? If they were not so easy to get people wouldn't come over so much. Or, you know... we can go the route of ultra-racism again and just not allow immigrants from latin countries. We did that to China and Japan in the late 1800s/early 1900s, did you know that? Back then we wanted Latin immigrants. Ironic, isn't it? The sign telling illegals to go home became a tourist attraction, I am sure if they made it big enough that the wall would become one as well. Of course, we could use that money for much better things... but why would we do that?

Now, while generally I don't like DiCaprio or anything he says, I have to agree with him here. If we really put an effort into using and finding new alternate fuel sources we would help the environment SO much... but the almighty dollar keeps that from happening. If anything is going to happen, it will have to start at the bottom and work it's way to the top.

You know there is an actual Firefly RPG, I saw the book at my local gaming store. Take a look at it and see if you can get any ideas of what you want to do. It sounds like a fun enough idea... it'd be interesting to see a Reaver encounter. |

That reminds me, I must return your Tao of Pooh. I have like a chapter left to go on it, but a good read. I've done my best to take care of it, but I think that my room might have gotten to it just a bit, I can replace it if it is dinged up too bad though.

Anywho, I know how you feel about lending books out and having that stuff happen. I lent DarkGuardian my copy of Order of the Phoenix after I was done with it and when I got it back pages were bent and coca-cola had been spilt on it. Come to think of it, he still has my copy of Lord of the Rings... I shudder to think of what has become of it. Lent Venomouslobster one of my books last fall... he left it in his car on a hot day and the binding glue actually melted. It destroyed the book, but I let it go since it also got three of his own books before the temperatures went down... he still owes me a new copy of that book though. | |||||||||||||||||||||
