| In math, an ellipse is not an oval, it is the locus of points on a plane where the sum of the distances from any point on the curve to two fixed points is constant. The two fixed points are called foci (plural of focus). Looks like a bit like one though. In writing though, an ellipse is "...". Damn you English language and your double meaning words!
I'm guilty of using ellipses when I type to indicate pauses in speach, though in english classes I've gotten shit for it because of intended usage of the ellipse. However, it is generally overlooked if you are using it in speech, since people get cut off or thoughts trail off. Just keep it to a minimum and all is well. |

Well, to be honest I am not sure who the main one is. The conversation with the soldier indicates that it is Halftan, but the later conversation at the end indicates Jaques... and also seems very much like dialogue in a video game (choose your quest).
