Oh, I wasn't going off on you, Nagis, and I'm sorry if it came off that way.
No, I was putting in another way people might look at it that would still make Obama look bad. The whole McCain rant just sort of came out as something I was going to write anyway and it wasn't meant to sound like it was applied as a rant directed toward you. When read right out it does sound like I directed the whole post at you and that wasn't so, just that one paragraph. And it wasn't meant to sound so hostile. So yeah.. Go Rogue's lazy paragraph breaks. |

This is a pretty decent speech on sexuality and its being stifled in video games as an art form.
Amusingly enough, I bought a copy of that Leisure Suit Larry game they keep showing in the video for 50 cents at my local library's book sale. Yep, it's ALLLLLL about tricking girls into sleeping with you (although it throws up the CENSORED bars whenever anything below the waist comes out). Good speech. Link, if the embed craps out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pEquofR2r0 I figure since this isn't all out crazy and deals with current events, it really doesn't fit in Video Hut. |

I'm so fucking nervous. My teacher said, the day of the final, that he was posting the grades in 10 days.
It's been 10 days. Still nothing. I've been rationalizing what my grade could be depending on how much I may have fucked up. I'm just hoping he grades the way I think he does and doesn't just disregard my A- in the class and say I failed because I sucked on the final that's worth 30% of your grade. Oh jeez. I need a convention to take my mind off all this. |

Yeah, I know all about the putting a right arm in and taking a left foot out, but that's just the ceremony before doing the Hokie-Pokie, as is the "turn yourself around" bit which follows.
What is it really "all about"? |

Yeah, Ring Around the Rosie has many different connotations, but it's primarily in reference to the Bubonic plague.
While I was in London, this tourguide my group had insisted that the line "Ashes, ashes" in it, was actually "Achoo! Achoo!" (as in sneezing), because once you started sneezing soon after you were dead. |

Holy crap, I don't know why he took it down. It was good.
Maybe it was getting more views than he meant it to? Kinda like the Numa Numa guy, he didn't really mean for the media to chase him down for interviews and such. |

Psshh, that's not funny.
Unless you think of it as an Anal Accord and then it's like a rule book of dos and don't for taking it from behind. Meh, that's grasping. In other news, Tyra Banks is a hypocritical sack of used douche. That is all. |

I don't usually find Dane Cook funny, but that second one is unbelievably true.
My boyfriend's car recently got hit by a woman in an H2. No damage to her car, but she, while coming along our car, knocked our front fender out of place. We were stopped, and her big-ass tire is what did the damage. When she finally got out to inspect the damage after hesitating on whether to just drive away or not, she goes on a tirade (just like the "Why'd you stop and let me hit you?" guy) exclaiming, "Why'd you hit me?!?!?!" She looks at our car and says, "You're all right. It looks fine," then runs back to get in her car saying, "Good job, buddy" in the sarcastic bitch way and proceeds to drive away without trying to exchange info. Since we were sort of stuck in traffic and I had my digital camera on me, I snapped a couple pictures of her license plate and called the police on a hit-and-run. Don't know if anything happened to her or if it's on her record but yeah, I totally relate. Dane Cook has another bit that he does about people in relationships despite the fact that they almost hate each other and fight over nothing all the time. I have a friend who's been through a series of long-term relationships with girls he absolutely hates during the last year he's with them. He's in one right now with this girl he's living with. Every time we see him now, he's got some story on why he really needs to break it off. And she's freakin' talking about MARRYING him these days. EDIT: Another funny animation based on his work: (Last edited by Rogue on 05-31-08 01:30 PM) |

So they brought on Jake Gyllenhaal to be the Prince of Persia.
Oh my. This is going to be that battle over Aladdin and Princess Jasmine's skin color not beng dark enough all over again. |

It's funny how they figured the Terracotta warriors of Xi'an into it since a few of them are on display at the Bowers in Santa Ana.
Anyway, barring that, this actually looks like it'll be fun to watch. I mean, I'd prefer they brought back Rachel, but hey whatever. It's an action movie sequel. It's just meant to be fun to look at. |

Pretty good for a fan attempt, but I wonder why whenever people post fan-made trailers on YouTube, they use that song from Requiem for a Dream. | |||

Supposedly Universal's got some shows up for nomination and wants the public to wear buttons in support of their favorite shows. They have buttons for: - 30 Rock - The Office - House - Heroes - Friday Night Lights - Life - Lipstick Jungle - Law & Order - Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - Law & Order: Criminal Intent - Knight Rider - Saturday Night Live - Jay Leno/Tonight's Show - Conan O'Brien/Late Night - Carson Daly/Last Call |

I didn't say because it's a sequel it's automatically going to suck, BUT to touch on a certain point, there is a pattern of bad sequels that come out.
The Matrix, for example. Now, while I'm a big fan of the trilogy, I do agree that the sequels weren't exactly up to scratch with the original and in the long-run may not have needed to be made. Other examples I can think of off the top of my head: The Lost World and JP3. Jaws 2. Battle for Planet of the Apes. Speed 2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3. Free Willy 2 & 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Elektra, and all the Bring It On sequels. Every other Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Urban Legends, Blair Witch Project, Scary Movie, Rocky, and most of the Disney movie sequels (including Honey, I Shrunk the Kids). Along with the occasional Star Trek movie, i.e. The Final Frontier. And then when you shift actors around due to their refusing to come back and/or they're dead: - Viva Rock Vegas - Grease 2 - The Next Karate Kid - Staying Alive - Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights - Blues Brothers 2000 - Caddyshack 2 Then you get trilogies where the second movie wasn't bad, in fact it even surpassed its original--but then there's that painful third or fourth movie: - Terminator - The Godfather - X-Men - Spider-Man - Batman (that steady decline from the first movie directed by Tim Burton down toward Batman and Robin) - American Pie (2 was pretty decent, Wedding was crap) - And recently added to the list Indiana Jones (While I enjoyed Kingdom, it definitely brings down the standard of those movies). Hell, The Mummy Returns and the spin-off The Scorpion King, weren't exactly batting it out of the park either, but they were still enjoyable to watch. And yes, there are some great sequels out there, which can be proven by the fact that we have power-trilogies like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and hell, even Evil Dead. But seriously, when it comes to sequels there's so much shit out there you can't help but tread cautiously when it comes to seeing the second, third, or fourth installment these days. I mean, if you're paying $10 to see a movie these days, you want it to be worth your while, right? I'm not knocking on this upcoming third Mummy movie at all when I say as an "action movie sequel" it's designed to be "fun to look at." Action movies aren't exactly well-noted for dialogue and story content. And whether or not you gentlemen were regarding my comment, I'm just clarifying. Anyway, I'll probably see this in the theater since I saw all of the Mummy movies in their first week. Yep. |

And Courtney Love is reported to be suicidal over it.
Article: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/arts/03arts-KURTCOBAINSA_BRF.html?ref=arts So a lot of people who feel Courtney was the reason Kurt killed himself are urging that Courtney should just do herself in. Thoughts? |

Really I can't blame her for being devastated, but she really should seek help. Hopefully this will help her get passed his dying so long ago.
I actually was reading this bit about how at a memorial service for Kurt, she commanded the crowd to call him an asshole while she was reading his suicide note for them. |
