Got it this morning.
Still haven't gone through the new features yet, but you can't help but notice the extra large Back button. |

So I sat about with a pair of tweezers, peeling off what skin was coming up. I'm a compulsive skin picker and can't help myself sometimes.
Fuck, does it smart. It looks and feels so damn raw. Oh jeez. |

This goes right along with the fact that being tickled against your will is considered a form of molestation. | |||

Originally posted by insectduel I have no doubt that it is. I was among those who saw the previous Hulk in theaters its opening weekend (midnight that Thursday night/Friday morning to be precise), and to be honest I didn't find it all that horrible. I thought it was odd overall that they changed up his origin story to be this overly dramatic father/son story. I guess over time I started wishing it was done a little differently. And hey, Marvel's finally doing crossovers. Awesome. Still need to see this new one, though. |

As a general statement, I truly think humanity has just gotten dumber through the years and tries to make up for it by being ridiculously rude.
My case in point -- today, Brandon, I and at least 10 other people were walking in a crosswalk in a relatively small yet popular beach community (where we tend to have breakfast with my parents on Sundays). As we're all trying to get to the other side of the street, this guy in a truck, going against the red, tears across the intersection and makes like he's going to plow us all down, then slams on his brakes. He's still trying to ease in like he wants us to part for him, and begins to honk and shout at those "in his way." Eventually when everyone's back on the curb, he peels off shouting, "ASSHOLES!!" out the window. Another instance of stupid that I wrote about on LJ: http://community.livejournal.com/museum_snark/6606.html (Last edited by Rogue on 06-22-08 04:57 PM) |

I'm quite shocked.
Seriously, to the point that I thought this was going to be a Rickroll. After reading a couple articles that noted that he had a heart condition since the '70s, I guess it's not so entirely unbelievable, but still. Damn... just damn. |

For as long as I could remember I've wanted to be a stuntwoman.
I mean sure for the most part you're taken for granted and people care more about the person who plays the roles you're doubling for, but still. You can't help but appreciate well-done stunts in movies. No CG. None of that crap. |

Anyone else do this?
I've never really been into bitching about products and services, but I've found myself doing it like every other month all of a sudden. I feel like Grandpa Simpson (like in the old episodes, when the Simpsons was funny) when he used to write the most ridiculous letters to various companies and publications. If only any of them were on YouTube. ![]() Anyway, I try to reserve letter-writing for things that are just plain inexcusable. I hate to come off like something of a tattle-tale, but sometimes it's just downright unacceptable, especially when you're paying good money for something. So yeah, any other letter-writers? I guess it's just something that comes horribly with age. Or possibly just boredom. |

In a sense, yes, that is writing a letter of dissatisfaction, so yeah Vulkar you are a letter-writer. ![]() In my first college English class, they wanted us to write letters to various companies about being unhappy with a service or product and send it out. At the time I just thought it was annoying to do that, so I wrote a fake letter about Regal Cinemas which I had to read in class, and never sent it. Didn't realize, though, that the teacher was basing your grade on if you got a response. Oh well, still passed the class. Now I feel old. Perhaps it's time to attach an onion to my belt, piece my history together from the back of sugar packets, and read more things I pick up off the ground. "Latex Condoms. Boy, I'd like to live in one of those." |

I was just watching this show he did to commemorate his 70th birthday, called "It's Bad For Ya." I damn near cried with all the things he had to say about the world and how much he got to get it all off his chest before he passed.
It's actually pretty fucking nuts. Here's part 1 of 7. (Last edited by Rogue on 06-25-08 10:07 PM) |

Originally posted by FX She's ALWAYS terrible, and I'm really not kidding when I say she's ruined a lot of movies out there with how annoyingly bad she is--Empire Records especially. Anyway, from what I've seen of this Hulk, it's just her wandering around, trying to look concerned and mumbling, "Bruce..." like it was the first fucking line of Citizen Kane. Now in response to the whole Hulk rubbing his head thing, yeah, that was pretty silly. But then again so's every time a man takes the worst beating of his life, bullets whizzing by his head. He's punching out wolves, outrunning tanks, so on and so forth. He looks pretty fucking fierce. But yet, once a woman is cleaning his wounds he's the biggest fucking baby about it (see: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Beauty and the Beast, etc). I mean, maybe the bullets, bombs, grenades, and shit really do hurt him, but he tries his damnedest to make it seem like he's absolutely unmoved by the attacks outside of it making him angrier, but with Betty he becomes slightly more human-like and accidentally showed that hitting one's head on solid rock can hurt once in a while? Or maybe it's all the adrenaline that makes him damn near invincible? Either way, Liv Tyler blows chunks as an actress. Just because her dad's in Aerosmith doesn't mean jack any more. Yeah, TP, she was definitely in LotR. And she was lame.
Back to Hulk, what I've seen so far is actually pretty good. You'll have to forgive me for this, but I'm slowly watching it bit by bit off Tudou. I've only just seen about two-thirds of it. My one disappointment thus far: Spoiler: "Mr. Blue" wasn't fucking Reed Richards like I was wishing and hoping it was. Bummer. |

Originally posted by NUCKLEARKNIGHT You'd be surprised. I mean, yeah, you often get the idea that as the little guy, people at the top won't get your message, but amazingly enough many of them take those letters seriously. Especially if they help the whole. If someone actually took the time to write a letter about an issue that affects the city, then it's probably something that's bothering many people out there. In the end, at least a politician somewhere gets to say that they improved conditions for people in their district or something. I also notice that letters are more carefully read if you indicate that you frequent the establishment of those you are writing to, and that they may lose your business or approval if there isn't any improvement. |

Yeah and I'm really quite sad about that too. I would have loved to see a Captain America picture that features Wolverine (though he's a part of the Fox-owned X-Men) during World War 2.
I guess they could try and get away with it since Marvel Enterprises is doing Wolverine/Logan/James Howlett's origin story. Whoops, time for a new thread on Marvel. Rogue over and out. |

All right so I finally read "From Hell" and watched the corresponding movie. With how different they made it from the book (though not even NEAR as far-fetched as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), I could see why Alan Moore thoroughly supports not wanting to see film adaptations.
It seemed like the movie not only cleaned up a lot of sex that was portrayed in the book, they added a lot of unnecessary things that weren't there to begin with (drug usage, psychic powers, etc). On top of all that, they completely changed the ending and a few of the main characters. How fucking weird. Anyway, I haven't heard any new news regarding Watchmen, but Comic-Con next month should yield something. |

Based on IMDb's list here, this is what Marvel has announced/been working on:
- The Avengers (2011) - The First Avenger: Captain America (2011) - Thor (2010) - Ant-Man (2010) - Nick Fury (2010) - X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) - The Hands of Shang-Chi (2009) - Silver Surfer (2009) - Spider-Man 4 (2009) - X-Men Origins: Magneto (2009) - Punisher: War Zone (2008) Now I get that Thor, Ant-Man (which may or may not include Wasp), and of course Cap need to have their origins done before they can move on to be the founding members of the Avengers along with Ironman, but I'm looking forward other projects that actually aren't on the list. Like Runaways, for example. It was originally written by Brian K. Vaughan (who is supposedly going to pen the script) and was taken over by Joss Whedon. Runaways was pretty much the story of six kids, all produced by six supervillain couples who together formed the crime lords, the Pride. Each couple is something different -- mutants, aliens, thieves, time-travelers, evil geniuses, and sorcerers (with each of their kids adapting their parents' abilities). Anyway, any of these excite anyone? |

It's actually something of a point of pride bringing that much pleasure to someone else. Especially when even a single female orgasm tends to be difficult to attain (patience is a virtue).
I don't speak for men or anything, especially since I'm not into girls, but that's just how it seems. Why, don't like orgasming a lot? |
