Hmm, looking at the title of this thread really quickly reminds me of the breast thread!

Anyways ... This is a Debate. Is it: - It's OR - Its I grew up in Elementary School, and maybe even Junior High using "it's" with the apostrophe. It was the correct way to spell it and use it. And now when I went through High School, I was taught that it is supposed to be "its". And that's even how Word corrects you now. So ... was I taught wrong or what? I mean, maybe it can be used plural similar to "they are" and "they're", but it is ... "its". "It's" just not that special of a word, isn't it? I don't know, I'm sure I can look back at 90% of my posts and see that I use "it's", I grew up with it, and it will probably just always be a habit of mine. (restricted) |

So I guess I should get into the habit of using it like I use "They are" and "They're".
|
(around those lines) FINE! But really, am I the only one who grew up learning "it's" is the only way it should be used? (Last edited by Racer Xeo on 07-14-06 04:18 AM) (restricted) | (restricted) |

Sajin, you FUCKING ROCK BABY. YOU HAVE FOUND TRUE POWER!
|
... within my tastes I'd say. In reply to your post: - Timeless Mircale ... Folk Metal? Folk metal is something I've been meaning to expand into, the only true Folk / Power metal bands I've really gotten into so far is Ensiferum and Elvenking. I will definitely check them out. - Blind Guardian is great. I even like their older stuff when they were more like Thrash, and Hansi Kursch didn't use falsetto (trust me his singing sounds 100 times differet in the past, but still great. Just different). I really need to get more of their stuff. - Heard of Dark Moor? Indeed I have. Aren't they kind of spanish though? I believe they did a cover song on Tribute to Helloween. Even though the accent was funny at times, they did an excellent job covering Helloween's song "Halloween". I'll have to really check them out. - Sonata Arctica. They're in my book of greatness, but not too high. I'd honestly have to say I like Dragonland a little more (very very similar). I just don't seem to enjoy Sonata's albums all the way through, they just sometimes seem to be a little too soft and too fancy at times. But, I seriously still love them. Ecliptica and Silence rock my face. - Savage Circus ... I've seen the name, but can't say I've really heard them. But so far I can say ... I have yet to hear a true Power Metal band that I do not like. Power Metal fucking destroys my face. I'd have to say the same for Lost Horizon, I'll have to check them out. Sajin, and others who might care, here's my recommendations: (just a quickie). - Tad Morose. I know you'd love them Sajin, absolute fact. Think of Blind Guardian, but with less epic / renassiance themes in it. I'd also have to say their vocalist (Urban Breed ... seriously he goes by that in their credits, not sure if that's truly his name though ...) is just freaking insane. He has such a drastically huge range is not even funny. There's times where he sounds like Blind Guardian, and then Queensryche, Iron Maiden, and whatever. He's insanely great. If you get one of their albums, I'd highly recommend Undead. - Iron Savior. I now own all of their albums. They are probably my 2nd favorite German metal band right after Gamma Ray. Their vocals are thicker and heavier and more like Blind Guardian, but there isn't as much screeching ... I guess. Their style is great though, you can easily tell they were heavily influenced by Judas Priest. I've been listening to their latest album, Battering Ram a hella lot lately. It's just insanely great. I might upload a song or so. Also, since I've gotten into Shred Metal (Impellitteri, Racer X, Malmsteen), I discovered vocalist Rob Rock who sang on some of Impelliteri's albums. Turns out he has his own solo band now, and they DESTROY. They're quite a unique and agressive sound. I got his first album, Holy Hell and almost all of the songs start off making me think someone is going to come in growling. It really sounds like Death Metal, but then Rob Rock comes in with his soaring vocals that I'd compare to ... Bruce Dickinson, or whatnot. His bands style is easily along the lines of Power Metal. Rob Rock's myspace page ... goofy maybe, but you can hear 4 songs there. They rock. I'm a Warrior sounds like a pure 90's Metal classic. That's it for now. 4228+ keystrokes. Well ... what? I love talking Power Metal. But yeah Sajin, I think if you bought anything off my list of albums, you'd like it. Seriously. All my stuff has many similar elements: - Solo's - Well trained vocalist's - Unique themes (goofy? I don't give a funk) - Epic feel - Speed and Power Also I got 5 Dio albums in the mail today. Pure classic metal, and with their Dungeons and Dragons lyrics and themes, I can say they had to have an influence in Power Metal. That, and Ronnie James Dio's voice is AMAZING! I got all of them for like $30 total at Amazon. (restricted) | (restricted) |

- Same creators who made Dragon Quest VIII. Okay, I can't lie. I've never played DQVIII but I've seen friends play it quite a bit, and I know its an incredible simplistic RPG. So that's a good thing.

But honestly, this game just looks incredibly interesting. I mean, I don't think I've see a PS2 RPG that looks this intensely detailed. The setting, and environment is what really has me hooked so far. Futuristic / Past, Hybird settings are just always great. So, yeah. Not much to say then yes, I'm very excited about this game and it looks great. It's also been a long time since I've played a high quality real time fighting RPG.

Oh yeah, I was never breast fed either.

And yeah, I could really careless about size. Heck, I think I like smaller ones ... I mean they should be there, there should be some defining line ... but yeah. *laughs* (restricted) |

- Trigun - Twelve Kingdoms - Crest of the Stars - Marine A Go-Go .... ... ... wha?/? I seriously can't think of much right now for some reason ... those are some of my favorites that I've seen all the way through. Shorter series: - Armitage the 3rd - Iria Zeriam Honestly I've seen like over 100 animes though, probably easily. I just hardly finish them. Main reason is because I always see them at friends houses. A good chunk of my friends are those kind of people constantly downloading anime and have full seasons on their HD's, and whatnot. But I do have Gungrave, some of Maison Ikkoku (I hear it's the best romance in existance), Monster (I've seen 10 episodes and can say it's still probably one of my top favorites, I really need to watch all of it). And maybe some other stuff. Also I own the 2 seasons of the old Megaman cartoon from the early 90's, which was serious at times (outside the puns ...) and it rocks.

Yeah, the biggest thing is I'd love to have more of is freedom. But I have my own car, a job, places to go, and I'm 18 and my parents know I'm grown up here. I'm here to do my own thing. I still am somewhat forced to go to some family events and stuff ... but, oh well. I actually love going to my grandparents [mom's side] because my grandma cooks like no other. |
