He watched the child's hair flow in the Great Ocean breeze while she held on to his hand. Her bright silver eyes glistened in the light of the three suns. He smiled, slightly at first, then turned to watch the ocean.

"Why?" she asked pointing towards the dark storm clouds circling over the Zedari fields. He pushed back a long black strand of hair from his white eyes and glanced towards the clouds. She tugged on his hand, and repeated her question.

He knelt down, his long white robe gently flowing around him almost embracing the small child. Her eyes as innocent as her being, her long brown hair flowing gracefully over her shoulders. She stared deeply into his eyes trying to search for an answer. He let go of her hand, and drew her in close leaning in to whisper an answer into her ear.

She laughed, because his voice tickled, and started running towards the water's edge. He stood from his position and watched her run, remembering the days of old when her mother used to run on the same beach with him long before she was born. The little girl danced in small circles singing a soft tune to herself as her father watched, his entire being focused on this little person.

The breeze picked up a little, rustling through his robes and playing with the little girl's hair. She stopped running and walked up to her dad, the same inquisitive look in her eyes. She drew out a little hand and motioned for him to bend down.

Leaning into her father's ear, she whispered some little nothing at him. He blinked, astonished for a moment, then watched as the little girl started skipping back up the embankment towards their home. She truly is her mother's daughter he thought as he slowly walked behind the little girl, the rain clouds starting to spill its first drops of the Showers over the fields.

X3PH1R: "No dice. Just answer the question. You know what, you sit on that since someone is trying to trace this. I'll call back later on."

**The phone clicks, then shuts off. All the agents phones start to ring at the same time, all displaying GOVERNMENT 1 on their caller IDs. They all answer, connecting onto one giant conference call.**

G1: "We intercepted a brief hyper-secured communication via cellular frequencies at your present location. Which brings up another question...why are you in France?"

G1: "Nevermind the details. Intel has spotted Agent X3PH1R in Paris, and we would like you to bring him in as soon as possible. There is an off-chance that his previous mission has left him a little skewed, and he may not exactly know what is going on. Either way, he needs Agency attention--before he causes harm to himself or others."

**Pause on the line** G1: "Have any of you seen him?"

**While listening in on the phone conversation, Pagano stood underneath a nearby tree staring off into the distance. He hears a rustling above him, and looks up only to see two dark dressed figures drop down in front and behind him. A few more pairs drop down around the team. Not just spies, but foreign ninja spies.**

**The cell phone powers itself on again, answering itself, and placing itself on speakerphone:**

X3PH1R: "Need to warn you, you may receive unexpected company looking for me...it's best to dispose of them quickly and move on. And, if you're already there, anata no boku wa te ni ireru! (Loosely and roughly translated: "You'll never get me!")"

**The cell phone powered itself off again.**

I'll tell you what I know I have, and then you can compare. I'm up all night long (mostly because I'm nocturnal) and can't sleep--insomnia.

When I do sleep, I oversleep (over 8) or under sleep (less than 4) at times. Oversleeping--hyperinsomnia. Undersleeping--hypoinsomnia.

How do I know this? My doctor and I assessed the matter, and decided that while I do have insomnia and more frequent hyperinsomnia, it's not too big of an impact on my life since I'm more nocturnal (a night person) than being a day person. It evens out. As long as I schedule important things (like work) at night when I'm up...I'm good.

Yeah, don't flatter yourself by thinking that I feed off your dreams entirely. I meant the population of the earth as a whole. Kind of like how Venom needs to feed on peep's energies to stay alive in Spider-Man...that sort of thing. But, if you wanna tell me to fuck off because you can't deal with crap and can't accept your emotions for what they are, do your thing. It's not like it affects me or anything. I, at least, proudly admit that I am a jackass and a jerk...and yet, I still have friends and a somewhat cool job. Go fig.

So, telling me that I'm something I already knew wasn't a big news story to me. As far as training goes, it's almost a month, and I'm still learning how to do things. In fact, training is often just an ongoing process for most positions. And while it seems that no one wants to accept work for what it is, I wish you luck in your endeavors. Even if I do find joy in other people's misery. Meh...it's who I am. So, we deal.

Again, people, the internet is such a wonderful resource for finding out things like translating the above sentence. I'm sure if you did a little hunting (Google might help), you'd be able to find it.

And yes, I am patronizing you.

Has the English language just disappeared as far as grammar and such as the summer nears?

Anyway, I enjoy a good movie every now and then. I'm not naming this film of the year, but it has its ups, and it has its down. You asked for opinion, and you got it. Some people like these movies, some people don't.

I tend not to focus on the actors so much as the storyline. And, being that it was a remake of an older film, as the Hollywood trend seems to be as of late, I found it to be adequate for the times. I still have to see the original again for comparison.

So, apparently, actually being myself is conceived in large part as being an asshole, a jerk, a jackass, and many other things. And yet, I don't care.

I'm true to myself, my thoughts, my nature, and I get rewarded by being a jerk to people...as it were. If you want me to lie to you, tell me. Otherwise, it's blunt honesty, even if it is delivered in a sarcastic tone every now and then.

The point is, yes, I am me. And my tendencies tend to reflect as that of a jerk to anyone who doesn't take the time to actually get to know me. However, if I were to be such a social cast-off, why do I still have friends?

At work, I'm known as the annoying jerk whom happens to be a talented writer, and an excellent bug finder. At home, I'm the good-natured-frustrated-with-the-world-as-a-whole-bitter-gay-man extraordinaire, and that sometimes translates into (as the Air France passengers put it one day) a heartless American bastard.

But, bottom line is, I am who I am, and I accept me, and that's really all that matters. To the rest of you out there, I give thee a raspberry. If you don't know what I mean, look it up. The internet is full of resources...maybe it's time to pull away from the infoporn and look something up. Boost that intelligence and such.

Geez, I'd umpire games for that kind of cash. Well, no, wait. I make more in a week than you do. And, I do more in a week than you do. But still, $100 bucks a week isn't that bad. Go you!

So, basically by stating that you know something about the rules, and you know the loopholes, that you're going to possibly continue because you know you can get away with it. Is that correct, Tamarin? If so, then we think alike. Whether you like it or not...**smirk**.

Wow. I usually try for alternate methods of cooling along with fans just in case the CPU even tries to heat up. Water cooling, gel cooling, multiple fans, open areas where it's not exposed to heat, whatever you can do to keep the temperatures within the case pretty nominal should be good. And, if you're going gaming rig, you might as well invest in a nice cooling system; be it fans or liquid transfer methods.

Really, I don't think anything is a disorder anymore. Since when does everyone just have to sleep at night? Why can't we just operate around whenever we feel like it? Why must we conform to a pre-set schedule of doing stuff during the day as opposed to doing stuff whenever we're up? What about us nocturnal people that have no problems being up late at night when we're more awake?

Oh, and caffeine makes me sleepy. So, it may have the same effect on Beo.

**A black helicopter drops into view, X3PH1R hanging out of it. He drops out of the helicopter, landing with a thud in between Pagano and Williams releasing a shuriken from each hand as he lands. The shuriken hit their marks felling two of ninjas hitting perfectly at their corotid arteries in their necks. He flips backwards over Pagano's shoulder, borrowing Pagano's gun from his shoulder holster, landing to fire off one round at an approaching ninja with a sword. The ninja swings the sword around deflecting the bullet, and charges at X3PH1R. The agent drops down, kick sweeping Pagano out of the path of the blade, and then rolls underneath the ninja pouncing back to his feet right behind him.**

X3PH1R: "I believe this is mine."

**He taps the ninja, removing a small blue scroll from the ninja's waist, then removes a concealed kunai blade and digs it deep into the ninja's back. He backflips landing on his feet just in time to dodge a poisoned needle that zips by and sticks into a tree. Two more ninja appear, one in front and one in back of him, each holding an array of weapons.**

X3PH1R: "Oh, come on. And, you call yourselves ninja? I'm just one man."

**The ninja charge at him, but he drops down sweeping one ninja. The ninja jumps up stabbing down at him with a short dagger. X3PH1R quickly pulls out his Desert Eagle and fires a single shot between the ninja's eyes. The ninja flies backward sharply, his dagger releasing and flying into the other ninja's chest. Both ninja's taken out, X3PH1R stands up and wipes the blood off his dark trenchcoat. The other ninja were taken care of by the other agents.**

X3PH1R: "So...miss me?"

**The agent drops down and sits on the ground, indian-style, resting his head on his palm.**

**X3PH1R shields his eyes from the sun as he stares up at Williams. The other agents watch him while he sits there. He slides Pagano's gun back towards him, then pulls out a satellite phone. He voice dials a Russian tag, and places the phone on his ear.**

X3PH1R: "I wish I could, but this area isn't secure. The ninjas? I kind of know something and/or did something that the Japanese government doesn't appreciate, so I've managed to acquire a nice little bounty on my head. I believe its somewhere in the range of $2 million dead, with return of my head."

X3PH1R: "But, you know, it keeps the paranoia alive." **He pats his stomach** "And, it's a hell of a workout. As to what the 'man' is planning; we'll get to that at a later point. Right now, if these guys found you and me, then there's no telling whom else..." **He stops to answer the other person on the line, switching into a perfect Russian dialect. He gestures slightly, gives out a hearty laugh, then terminates the call replacing the phone into his trenchcoat pocket.**

X3PH1R: "...might be on my tail. This information is highly volatile, and needs our utmost attention." **He pauses for a moment resting his palm on the ground. His eyebrow furrow, he quickly stands up and starts running towards one of the vehicles.** "They're coming. We have to leave now. I'll go ahead, since they're more than likely looking for me. Just disappear, and I'll contact you via that cell phone when I feel its safer."

**He runs over to a small vehicle sitting near a tree, slides over the hood and into the car, driving off in a cloud of dust. A low, rumbling roar can be heard in the distance, similar to that of several motorcycles.**

**All cell phones start ringing, conference call from INTEL OPS**

INTEL: "Good afternoon, agents. We've acquired recent information from the Japanese government alerting us to the whereabouts of Agent X3PH1R. Also, X3PH1R has received an upgrade in his training and may be able to execute a bit more of a physical demand than his analyst position entails."

INTEL: "We have learned that he has been secretly training in ninjitsu for the past five years, along with possible allegations of working as a mercenary double-agent. We also have word that he has had three cybernetic enhancement surgeries in the past three years, so he may be superhumanly stronger, if not just faster."

INTEL: "In his current state, he's an asset to whichever world government or crime entity can get a hold on him. We'd prefer he stay stateside, but he's apparently willing to work for highest bidder. Consider him completely armed and dangerous."

I figure it's some kind of semi-transparent cheesecloth type material on the square that is their faces. Or they just walk around hoping that all that padding will help protect against crap. Maybe, someone actually controls them. And, where is their katamari?

**As the group observes the German being pooped on, a tall man sporting a black trenchcoat and sunglasses starts to work his way towards the agents. His gait sure and deliberate, with a slight, yet sexy goatie, and pierced lip, he walks slowly towards them carrying a black leather briefcase. His jet-black patent leather shoes gleam slightly in the warm afternoon sun. As he approaches, he pulls out an Agency badge, and shows it to Williams. He opens up the briefcase, and hands her a yellow envelope with the words "M-7 Clearance Required" stamped on the side of it. He closes the briefcase, and disappears into the crowds as sleekly as he had first appeared.

Of all agents present, only Williams and Pagano were M-7 cleared, with exception to X3PH1R. This material was designated for Williams and Pagano only, and the rest of the agents understood this.**
