Short update on the mother of the millennium--four of the babies are home.

Suleman fired the free nurses from Angels in Waiting because one of them filed a complaint with protective services against her.

In other news she still pronounces maturity as "matt-oo-ritty" and it still sounds strange.

Damn, Thex. Sorry?

Fuck my hypochondria.

Fuck feeling dizzy off-and-on for the last 3 weeks.

Fuck that this singular symptom has every doctor I've seen in the past week demanding lab work, EKGs, X-rays, the works, to see if I have all these things wrong with me and won't discuss my results until I return to see them in 2 weeks.

Fuck the random weakness in my right arm and leg. Not enough to make doing anything a problem, but just enough of a blah feeling to see a chiropractor.

Fuck sitting in a clinic room, wearing a paper napkin for a shirt, and discovering that I have aches "that shouldn't be there" while someone is poking and prodding my body and another person stands and watches saying things like, "Listen to her. OK, take this down. You got that? [Insert discussions over the scientific names for muscles and bones that you may have heard in high school anatomy, but now come with random numberings and subcategory names]. You have to stop when she stops."

Fuck not being told any answers more than, "You'll have to come back next week for another load of work on your soft-tissue. This could be months of work."

I swear it seems like these things weren't as bad as a month ago, but now I have to sit and wait to find out if I'm diabetic, have a thyroid, heart, lung, or whatever problem, get continuously poked and prodded by a back-cracker who thinks he can cure everything over the course of 6 months with stretches and further poking and prodding.

Fuck the fact that it might just be an eye problem, but optometry visits still cost $50 I can't spare. I could see a chiropractor or an acupuncturist for $5, for fuck's sake, damn it.

I don't know exactly what's going on, although it's relatively obvious, but I LOVE it!

Do you pay a health fee while attending CSULB? Here at CSUF, when you register for classes, you pay a health fee (much like at LBCC where for $15 a semester you can visit the nurse for lozenges).

The fee covers doctor visits, gyno physicals, lab work, x-rays, etc. It also covers most prescriptions when you take them to any Target, Walgreen's, etc in California. You do have to pay small fees to use certain practitioners, and for certain lab tests and other things like EKGs.

CSULB's gotta have something.

I don't have insurance of any kind and thus far I haven't had to pay for any prescriptions, doctor's visits, or tests they ran after my physical last year.

Keeping on topic, fuck people who think everything you're into is stupid, disgusting, or a waste of time.

Movies, I guess, since there aren't many series I'm deeply into.

Although there are several series out there that I love more than most films because they can spend hours upon hours developing characters, plots, side-stories, etc.

It's super greasy but the fresh-baked onion and cheese ones from this bakery in L.A.

But in general, I dunno, they all have reasons why they top each other. Plain ones taste the best with cream cheese (also good if you must have lox), same with sesame, poppy seed, etc, but ones with cranberries, blueberries, and other fruits are really good too toasted and buttered.

Hmmmm, tough call.

It's definitely better than the earlier part of this season and most of the pieces comprising the second volume. You can thank it being turned over to a better writer, for that.

Sorry, Jeph and Jesse. While I admire you guys, your convoluted stories were doing nothing short of killing the show for a lot of us.

I just got home from a 5-mile round-trip hike to a waterfall and hanging out at a museum. I'm currently watching extras on the Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter DVD that was just released this week (it's outstanding! Especially if you've read the book). I'm also getting ready to go to Rocky Horror tonight because some of the golden age performers are coming tonight.

Anyway, despite the minor health issues, life's been good. I'm still trying/learning a new thing every day. Every weekend's been a new adventure, I guess, be it a Civil War re-enactment, a powwow, hiking in the mountains, festivals, swimming in the ocean and feeling the fish swim around me, trying all kinds of new foods.

Today when Brandon and I were hiking, a western rattlesnake slithered out in front of us. We stood still, and it continued across the trail. When it got the brush it, rattled away and we quickly walked on down the trail. Several other hikers mentioned seeing other snakes as well, occasionally we heard rattles in the bushes. It was just sort of funny, like the snake was practically saying, "Don't mind me, I'm just gonna cross the trail now. See ya later!"

I've also got a big interview lined up, but I don't want to jinx it. If it happens I'll post the link on the board.

Got a new chair I rescued off a curb. So comfy to sit in. My cat even fights to get to sit and sleep in it. Kinda ties the room together.

I aced my sociology exam, passed my ethics written test, and interviewed a congresswoman I admire.

Brandon's band Voidcrush has a show tomorrow. They had one a couple weeks back, and I shot a new photoshoot with them.

Spent some time with Christina while she was in town. I've missed her and the baby so much. It was great talking with her at the Voidcrush show a couple weeks ago.

So yeah, there's plenty to be happy about. Fuck dizziness, though.

Back from Rocky. I feel so old among all the young people. So many of them virgins. But then again, they completely bust up on the most basic lines I was shouting out alongside Becky.

Devo, playing Brad, freakin' jumped me in the audience at the end, I don't know how he ended up curled up in my lap, how Brandon and I ended up tickling him, or how I ended up motorboating him in the spotlight, but it was hilarious at the time.

God, it feels good to smugly plop myself in my seat after the pre-show host asks during the pledge, "If you've seen this movie in a theater with a cast more than 100 times, sit down."

I'd heard about Claude shortly after I posted that, but I'm guarding my feelings on that one.

I mean, IMDb isn't exactly accurate. For a couple months, the Spider-Man 3 profile had listed the woman playing Aunt May as "Carnage."

I don't think it's been confirmed for any of the other guys since only Alfie did a paternity test. No articles mention what the results were for anyone else anyway.

Years from now he's going to look back on this whole situation with relief, I'm sure.
