**Reed receives a phone call, caller ID withheld. The voice, gruff sounding almost like from years of smoking, on the other end speaking in a low rumbling detached British English**

UNK: "They're coming for you."

UNK: "They know where you are. We know why you're really here."

UNK: "You'll know what's best for you. If not, we have methods of persuading you."

**Reed starts looking around noticing a group of darkly clad men near the base of the Eiffle Tower watching him and the group. The call ends.**

**The men start talking into their coat cuffs, then separate each taking a different path around the agents. Wistock nears his vehicle checking the trunk for a few objects while the rest of the agents pull in closer devising a plan of action hopefully not drawing too much attention to themselves. Williams and Pagano spot a far off figure walking just behind the group of men. His coat sways slowly with his walk, his mirrored sunglasses reflecting the afternoon sun. A briefcase, small and black, sways in his right hand. He starts into a slight job chasing after one of the men. Bumping into the man, knocking him out with the briefcase, he drags the man towards a tree as a crowd of people start to gather around him. The two other men catch wind of this, and start heading back towards their injured friend. The crowd grows enveloping and blocking the groups' view, just as Wistock returns.**

You can't ask a game tester this question and expect a decent reply. In reality, no game is good anymore. I can't find any game to keep my attention for longer than 30 minutes. Mostly because of my new training, I can usually find something wrong with a game within a few minutes of playing it. And, it disgusts me to think that testers let that slide...or for that matter, that production teams let things slide in order to make deadlines.

If it works and doesn't make my console crash, it's a good game.

Try this on for size:

Last time I slept fully (any length of time) was I believe, four days ago. If that.

Let's run down my schedule and see if you don't feel tired.

It's crunch time at work. I work (and shall soon be starting 12 hour days) six days a week, with one day off, which really isn't a day off because I have school three days a week as well. I drive close to 500 miles per week on top of all that. I work everyday except Thursdays. I'm in class for four-hour blocks twice a week (early classes from 8 AM till Noon) and once a week, a five hour class (7:30 till Noon-thirty). On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, I commute to school early 20 miles one way, spent 4-5 hours there, then commute home 20 miles. Spend an hour or two at home, and commute to work 25 miles one way across one freeway and several surface street (total travel time of 1 hour). Then I stay at work until 1 AM, where it takes me 30 minutes to do the return 25 mile trip. The rest of the week is dedicated to getting what sleep I can (if I do), finishing homework, doing other necessary things, maintaining a vague social life, and going to work. I have no free time anymore.

After all this, I am dead tired beyond even being considered alive. I work in what used to be a hospital morgue. I go to school in what used to be an industrial place. I live in SoCal, and the 405 is one of the wonders of my daily commute. Also, my job (however much I do love it) has reduced me to wearing sunglasses in doors and at night outside because my eyes hurt so much during work. But, for unlimited 25 cent sodas, unlimited free tea, and unlimited free ice cream (thanks to our boss), I deal.

You wanna talk tired? You try living just one of my weeks, then we'll talk.

...and has possibly broken his front paw. If anyone has suggestions on how we can take care of this without spending anywhere over $100, please let us know. Otherwise, my heartless money-tight aunt is going to have Whitey put to sleep. If I had the money, I'd pay for anything to take care of the dog. Please, as soon as possible help with the puppiness stuffies.

Thank you, even if you can't help.

Please help us save him!!

Update!!

Whitey's fine. A little swollen, wary about cars, but otherwise runs around like nothing's happened. Latest picture:

Yeah, it was a sprain, and he's doing okay. Damn him and his running around. He limps a little, but only if he's been lying down for a long time. We have to sit with him since he's not used to the fireworks.

I wasn't even around when it happened. Apparently, my heartless older cousin Gabriel (fitting, isn't it?) let him out of the backyard and he just took off. Junior and Gera (my middle and youngest cousin, respectively) took off after him chasing him up the street towards the intersection near the liquor store. Puppy's fast. Puppy thought they were playing.

Puppy ran into the intersection missing the eastbound traffic, but was hit by a blue car travelling across westbound traffic. And, best of all, the heartless idiot in the car didn't even stop! And we live like two blocks from the sheriff's station! Another car did stop though, to help my cousins get him back across the street. They carried him back (heavy puppy), and then I was called to see the puppy since I'm apparently the resident expert on everything. Yet, no one ever listens to me, so why do they keep calling me?

True, true...must "Heil Hitler, I mean Bush!" It does seem to fit doesn't it? Must photoshop a wig on, like Elara suggested. Truly a masterful indication of our President's secret fetishes.

I rewrote the encounter in Chapter II between Lee and Pat:

A swift hand appeared on Pat’s right side; he shifted his weight and drew up his left arm allowing his assailant’s hand to strike the transporter contacts. Pat disappeared appearing just behind his assailant, a few feet above launching a drop kick to his attacker’s shoulder. Just before impacting, the dark shadow disappeared in a bright, white light, reappearing just in front of Pat’s outstretched leg. The dark shadow grabbed onto his foot and tweaked Pat around into a fast-spinning spiral. He leapt up into the air dropping down with an outstretched fist towards the spinning ex-agent, but stopped short as Pat had once again disappeared.

The dark shadow leapt backwards over Pat’s sweeping leg, landing behind him and executing two quick punches to the back of Pat’s neck before disappearing and reappearing in front of him. Pat dropped down, disappeared and reappeared in front of the dark shadow forcefully open-handedly punching him squarely in the chest launching the shadow backwards. The shadow flew backwards, but disappeared in a bright flash just before hitting the ground, reappearing behind Pat with his sword stopped just a few inches from Pat’s back. Pat quickly spun around, the blade cutting deeply into his uniform and back, and withdrew his sword. The two figures, dimly lit by the rays of Isis, stood watching each other before the flowing waters of the fountain. Pat quickly lunged forward, only to have his sword knocked out of his hands and embedded into a building wall. The dark figure reappeared above Pat, sword trained down towards his shoulder. Pat flinched slightly, disappearing and reappearing as the dark shadow dug his sword deep into the Plaza ground then flipped onto his feet again. They stood watching each other until the familiar lights and sirens from the Night Squadron vehicles filled the night air. The dark shadow leapt forward retrieving his sword from the ground in one motion landing again in front of Pat.

"Fine, but next time, I take the watch with or without your cooperation," the shadow figure cast his left arm towards the trenchcoat causing it to immediately fly into his grasp before turning to face Isis, "give my regards to T’om." He flipped backwards onto his feet once more before dissolving into the shadows of the surrounding buildings. Pat dropped to one knee to retrieve the identicard that had fallen from the shadow's coat. He picked it up, held it up to Isis, and stowed it in a pocket on his suit. After gathering his trenchcoat, Pat resumed his walk to his apartment building, retrieving his sword from the building wall and ignoring the approaching Night Squadron.

I think it adds more tension and shows that Pat used to be quite a powerful Special Ops agent...

The next update will come after this. I just have to change Paradox Island to reflect a different version of this.

Is it so difficult to spell out "fuckers", really? It's not that difficult...the letters are there. Or, have we forgotten?

Bring it on, gangster wannabe gamer. You've never dealt with videogames long enough until it becomes your job. Then, games never look the same again. Doesn't mean I stopped playing, just means that I spot things now. Evil things.

So, welcome or whatever.

Prime example: "Don't ever buy a Compaq" What do you all have? Compaqs. Fine, ignore me.

Whitey's fine. He survived the fireworks by hiding in the same spot Scooby used to hide under. The non-working backyard built-in grill. His sprain is coming along. Doesn't impede him from running around the yard with his floppy and fluffy ears. Damned ADD dog.

I saw Howl's Moving Castle at the El Capitan a couple of weeks ago. Very very good film. And, Howl is hott. Anyway, I have a bootleg version of it from Korea, in original Japanese, and a legal version of it imported from Japan in a Miyasaki box set. It played at the El Capitan as a premiere, but I don't know if it's still there.

I think it's nice that Disney decided to acquire the Miyasaki license, but some of the subtitles aren't exactly translated as they are supposed to be. I noticed that only after watching it again at home. Both on the legitimate and the bootleg. Oddly enough, the bootleg is better than the legitimate.

It's been done. It's not original. Cute, blurry, and not that imaginative. Cleary, I was expecting more from the hyped up title...but much like the Hollywood movie industry's hype, I was greatly disappointed.
